Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 696: Chapter 492: Intimate Moments (Part 7)

Zhou Yun: ”Is she crazy? What makes her think my boyfriend’s company will let her act in their productions?”

Song Chi said, ”Maybe it’s because she’s confident that she’s popular enough now.”

The current film and television market completely revolves around top-tier artists when planning projects.

Whatever production Xu Siyao is willing to act in, that production gets the green light from the platform. This is the bonus that ”Eighth Heartbeat” and ”Dingfengbo” have brought to Xu Siyao.

The success of the dramas proves that the audience accepts Xu Siyao—especially with ”Dingfengbo,” where audience reviews for Xu Siyao were better than for Zhou Yun.

”Of course, if your company has any bad movies that are just made for making money, you can ask her to act in them. I don’t mind you using her to make money,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi burst into laughter on the other end of the phone.

”By the way, Yu Zhiyang came to see me,” Song Chi suddenly said.

Zhou Yun was startled, ”Hm?”

Song Chi said, ”He came to tell me that if there are any roles that don’t involve romance, if there’s a chance, he’s willing to act for free and just hopes I can provide an opportunity for him.”

Roles that don’t involve romance...

Zhou Yun instantly knew what that was about.

She said, ”Since Little Yu took the initiative to come to you, help him out if you can. I will definitely work with him in a drama again in the future, that’s a promise I made to him. But such opportunities are uncertain, and you know his situation. It’s probably best to start him off with some minor roles that aren’t too heavyweight, otherwise, his female boss will worry about him getting too popular and not let him act.”

Song Chi nodded, making an affirming sound, ”That’s what I was thinking too.”

”Then I’ll leave it to you. Sigh, I find myself needing your help with quite a lot of favors, sorry.” Zhou Yun said, ”I haven’t been able to help you much, but you’ve helped me so much.”

From Yu Zhiyang to Wang Jing, Zhou Yun has already found several roles for them in Song Chi’s Company.

These roles are not irreplaceable.

Song Chi laughed and said, ”You’re being too polite over such a small matter.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Originally, I was thinking that after my contract with Chengqian ends, I would sign with your company to help you make money. But then plans changed, and my previous thoughts were too simplistic.”

”It’s fine, your performance in ’Heart Inquiry’ has already brought me lots of benefits,” Song Chi said. ”Let’s not keep such strict accounts between us. I know you’re willing to take a loss for me, and you should know I’m willing to take a loss for you too. In a situation where both parties are willing to take a loss for the other, a loss isn’t really a loss.”

”You’re reciting tongue twisters now.”

”Ha ha.”

Zhou Yun said, ”By the way, have you made contact with that kid called Luo Zhiheng? The one who acted in ’Falling Leaves’ with me. I recommended him to you before, saying he’s very talented at acting.”

Song Chi said, ”I know, I’ve already met his mother, but she doesn’t seem very keen on letting him sign a contract at this moment since he has his college entrance exams next June.”

”I see.” Zhou Yun felt a bit disappointed, as she truly believed Luo Zhiheng could become a star.

”I’ll contact them again after his exams are over,” Song Chi said.

”Okay.”

”Yao Yuanfeng came to see me the other day, talking about the script for ’Under the Moonlight,’” Song Chi shifted the topic to the script written by Yao Yuanfeng himself. ”He’s planning to push the project forward, and wants to collaborate with me on it.”

Zhou Yun: ”Really? That’s great.”

Song Chi: ”But given my current situation, with two dramas waiting for me, if I really want to act in this drama, my schedule would probably extend to the second half of next year.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Then we’ll wait until the second half of next year to shoot it. I’m not in a hurry.”

”Anyway, whether I act in it or not, I’ll be involved in producing this drama,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun: ”Once I finish ’Four Killers’, I really need to take a good rest and go on a vacation. Shooting action scenes really leaves my back and waist aching.”

Song Chi: ”Don’t get injured again.”

”Don’t worry,” Zhou Yun said, ”I’m being careful.”

After a few more tender exchanges, Zhou Yun hung up the phone. She stretched lazily and thought to herself that if she worked with Song Chi on ’Under the Moonlight,’ then this movie might become a film that they would both look back on for many years to come. Deep down, Zhou Yun really wanted to shoot a pure romance with Song Chi. ’Heart Inquiry,’ after all, wasn’t a romance but merely had romantic subplots. Moreover, in ’Heart Inquiry’, she was sharing this man with Su Yan, and she certainly did not want to see the drama as a romance between her and Song Chi.
