Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 672: Chapter 487: Filming Begins

Zhou Yun wanted to start a book reading campaign on his Weibo.

After proposing this idea, Zhou Lan thought it was feasible.

”You organizing this campaign fits your public persona well. Although everyone now sees you as a Movie Queen, a genius actress, in reality, you have another important identity; you are a genuine graduate from University A. Among the celebrities in the entertainment industry who graduated from University A, you are the only one,” Zhou Lan said. ”So, this activity not only has a good influence, but it could also receive official recognition.”

Zhou Yun: ”I didn’t think so much about it. It’s just that I’ve been neglecting my Weibo, always posting advertisements and promotions. But thinking about it now, sharing what I read on Weibo with everyone seems nice. I think people might be willing to read along with me.”

”Of course, though the activity of reading does have a somewhat high barrier; it’s hard to say how many can persist,” Zhou Lan smiled and said, ”Speaking for myself, I haven’t read books for a long time—I really don’t have the time or energy. Whenever I have a bit of free time, I just want to lay down, scroll through my phone, and let time waste away without any burden.”

”Sister Lan, you’re really dampening my enthusiasm here.”

”I think when doing an activity, we really shouldn’t expect to mobilize everyone to do something. Whoever is interested can join, and those who are not, we shouldn’t keep inviting them repeatedly. Let things flow naturally, and those who find joy in the activity will naturally continue. Even if we can’t get everyone to read ten books a year, if they find interest in just one more book, that’s good too.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Zhou Lan: ”You’ve got quite the leisure to think about organizing such an activity while busy shooting.”

”The Four Killers, I feel I’ve prepared quite thoroughly for it,” Zhou Yun said.

”Huh? This doesn’t seem like you. How come you’re saying you’re well-prepared this time? Weren’t you always feeling underprepared in the past?” Zhou Lan asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”On one hand, I’ve become more familiar with acting. On the other, it’s because I think the roles in The Four Killers are straightforward, just regular people. Once you grasp the critical points of each character’s state, the rest can be left to the feelings in the moment.”

Zhou Lan laughed, ”I don’t understand these things. When it comes to acting, you know better. Just be confident in what you think. As for me, I’ll make sure to prepare everything needed for the Cannes trip. Let me tell you, this time in Cannes, all the top domestic fashion and movie media have reached out wanting to collaborate. Some want to document the entire journey, some want exclusive reports. Fashion media cooperation is relatively simple; they just want to capture some street photography. Zheng Xiaowen also approached with an idea for a Cannes VX project to collaborate with Marie Claire, and to be featured on the cover.”

”Find a time to have a meeting, and we can discuss what needs to be discussed,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Lan: ”Didn’t any of these editors contact you?”

”Some people contacted me, but I said it depends on your arrangements,” Zhou Yun said. ”Let’s discuss it in a meeting later. Too many people are reaching out, and I’m not sure whom to agree with.”

”Alright.”

After finishing the call with Zhou Lan, Zhou Yun suddenly thought of Song Chi.

He wondered if the news of Song Chi becoming a jury member for the ”A Certain Attention” segment had been announced.

He searched for Song Chi, but didn’t see any related news, so it seemed not to have been announced yet.

Zhou Yun didn’t know why, but she was really looking forward to seeing the reaction after the news was announced. Actually, she could guess what the reaction would be—surely praise and admiration. Zhou Yun felt that she probably just wanted to see everyone praising Song Chi.

Really quite boring. Zhou Yun criticized herself.

The entire cast of The Four Killers gathered for a final script reading session.

This time, they went through the script from morning to evening.

Everyone had no objections left.
