Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 651: Chapter 477: Who Knows?

Zhou Yun said, ”I have two people in my team who specialize in reading scripts for me; if I come across a script that intrigues me but doesn’t yet have a producer, can I entrust you guys to produce it?”

Song Chi nodded, ”Of course, having the opportunity to produce a script you’ve chosen is a huge bargain for us.”

”I thought you set up this company just to make it easier to shoot the films you wanted,” Zhou Yun said, ”but it seems your ambitions have grown, even inviting Teacher Zhang Hongyu to act in your films.”

Song Chi said, ”A small workshop can’t withstand big storms. If I have the capacity to produce more and better films and TV shows, why wouldn’t I?”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”That makes sense.”

Song Chi smiled.

”Don’t laugh at me.”

”I’m not laughing at you, I think your idea is really impressive,” Zhou Yun said. ”There are so many talented directors, screenwriters, and actors who, due to market reasons, have no work to shoot, no place to display their talents. It’s great that you can provide them with fertile ground to create. I truly believe that.”

Song Chi was somewhat moved.

These things, Song Chi had never explicitly discussed with Zhou Yun.

Why did he start his own company? Why did he decide to embark on such an energy-consuming venture?

It wasn’t just so he could shoot the dramas he wanted, but also because he had been in the industry for many years, met many incredible people who are currently not accepted by the market, and he wanted to give these people opportunities and resources to do something different from what the mainstream market is passionate about.

Song Chi hadn’t expected that Zhou Yun would be able to sense his thoughts.

Zhou Yun said, ”Keep it up, I absolutely support you. If you need me for a cameo or to play a supporting role, just ask. If I’m available, I’d love to protect and support a good project.”

Song Chi laughed.

”Alright.”

”Although I feel my current abilities aren’t necessarily enough to protect and support, but I’ll work hard,” Zhou Yun added, sticking her tongue out as she spoke.

...

Meeting Senior Jing, Zhou Yun still felt a bit nervous and fearful.

She was upset about the Huayu Award, but she didn’t want to vent it on someone unrelated.

In reality, Senior Jing is an extremely humble person; despite his status and experience, where he could have behaved arrogantly or played the seniority card without anyone being able to say anything—just some complaints behind his back—he did not do so. Instead, he specifically kept a very low profile, a truly humble person.

At the beginning of the meeting, Senior Jing did not talk about the Huayu Award. Instead, he talked with Zhou Yun about her experiences in different drama teams, her understanding of film and television, and her understanding of acting.

Zhou Yun was also willing to talk to Senior Jing about these topics.

During this process, she had doubts, confusion, and even wanted to seek advice from Senior Jing.

Dinner was very enjoyable.

It wasn’t until dinner ended and the two were about to say goodbye that Senior Jing said, ”Xiao Yun, I know that this time you might have felt wronged. Regrets cannot be changed, but your future is not just one ’Heart Inquiry.’ I will further purify and elevate the Huayu Award, and I hope next time you can still bring your works to participate in the Huayu Award. Huayu Award warmly welcomes talented and excellent young people like you.”

Before coming, Zhou Yun had a lot of things she wanted to say about this matter, but seeing Senior Jing’s aged face, she suddenly couldn’t speak them out.

She smiled in the evening breeze.

”Senior Jing, I’m very happy to have seen you tonight.”

A few days later, the heated discussions about the Huayu Award gradually cooled down.

Things are always like this; if you don’t add firewood to the fire, even if the fire is burning vigorously, it will eventually go out.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi had never accepted interviews from reporters from the beginning to the end, not saying a word about this matter.

Kang Xin and Jiang Yuzhen did the same.

Storms always pass, and heatwaves always end.

Somehow, March suddenly experienced a day of high temperatures.

With the sun high in the sky, the fierce sunlight poured down, and Zhou Yun was so hot that she could only wear a shirt, and yet she still sweated profusely.

Coincidentally, there was also an advertisement shooting today, and it was outdoors.

On the streets, even though the staff cleared the area, there were still many pedestrians who, hearing that a celebrity was filming, held up their phones to shoot from a distance.

Because it was just an advertisement, the confidentiality measures were not so strict.
