Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 668: Chapter 485: Four Assassins_7

Yin Linglin was somewhat jealous of Zhou Yun, but she didn’t want to have any unpleasantness with Zhou Yun.

Now, evidently, the unpleasantness had already arisen.

The only consolation for her was that today several other people were present, and Zhou Yun wasn’t just dissatisfied with her.

In any case, Zhou Yun couldn’t possibly be angry with all of them, right?

...

Zhou Yun hadn’t told Song Chi about this because she felt it was meaningless and would only make Song Chi feel upset as well.

What bothered her more was that the filming of ”Four Killers” was about to start soon, and the thought of having to work with those people made Zhou Yun depressed.

Had she known they were such people, she wouldn’t have wanted to shoot this movie.

Song Chi was also about to join another film crew to shoot a new movie, a low-budget art film titled ”Balcony,” directed by Lu Ting, a director who specialized in art films.

The shooting schedule was not long, only about fifteen days.

After reading the script of ”Balcony,” Zhou Yun found it to be a quite warm story about a painter who dislikes interacting with the outside world and comes to a small town during the summer, rents a house, and paints every day. Across from his house, there’s a balcony where an old man sunbathes every day. One day, the two accidentally make contact because of an injured bird, and as they care for the bird, they gradually get to know each other and enter into each other’s lives. A very heartwarming story.

Not only was Song Chi starring in this film, but he was also the producer, with the film being produced by his company.

Zhou Yun said, ”This story is really warm.”

”Yeah, it’s a story written by Lu Ting herself,” Song Chi said. ”Her films are all in this style, depicting some of the beautiful aspects of everyday life, very comforting.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I haven’t seen her films yet.”

”You should like them.”

”Okay, I’ll check them out.”

Song Chi joined the crew first.

Zhou Yun stayed at home alone for three days, then she also joined the crew.

When Zhou Yun checked into the hotel for the shooting of ”Four Killers,” she unexpectedly ran into Gu Huaichun.

”How come you are here?” Zhou Yun asked in surprise.

Gu Huaichun said, ”I’m shooting a film too, our crew is staying here.”

”This is a coincidence, my crew is staying here too.”

...

Gu Huaichun showed a bitter smile, ”It looks like the rumors will start again.”

Zhou Yun shrugged, ”Then let them.”

Gu Huaichun was shooting a Republic-era TV drama, using the same filming base as ”Four Killers.”

When Zhou Yun knew this, she thought, no wonder it’s such a coincidence.

The female lead of this Republic-era drama was Meng Ran, who was also an acquaintance of Zhou Yun.

However, Meng Ran being the female lead... When Zhou Yun heard about it, she was somewhat at a loss for words.

Meng Ran’s acting, she had seen it before, and Gu Huaichun working with her, better not blow his top on set.

Just over these few days, the number of fans and journalists lurking around the hotel suddenly increased.

At the same time, the hotel was housing many big celebrities, each with a huge fanbase, so the hotel had to arrange for security guards every day to ensure the hotel entrance remained clear.

If no measures were taken, given the number of fans, the hotel entrance would have been impassable.

After checking into the hotel, Zhou Yun, sticking to her old habits, first scoped out the nearby area to plan a route for her morning runs.

When she returned, she happened to run into Liu Zhikun.

Liu Zhikun was not among those she and Yao Yuanfeng had planned for that day.

He was originally an idol with incredibly high popularity, capturing many young girls’ hearts after starring in a youth romance film, wherever he went, eyes sparkled.

Zhou Yun thought it was a bit exaggerated and walked away, but unexpectedly, she ran into Meng Ran.

Meng Ran wore a fisherman’s hat and a large face mask, completely covering herself up. When she almost bumped into Zhou Yun, she was startled.

”Sorry.”

Then, Meng Ran recognized Zhou Yun.

”Sister Xiao Yun!” Meng Ran exclaimed with delight.

Zhou Yun: ”Xiao Ran, long time no see.”

Meng Ran said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, you’re here too? Ah, right, the ’Four Killers’ crew is also staying at this hotel. I heard from my agent, what a coincidence!”

”Yes, it’s a coincidence. Where are you headed?”

Dressed like that, it was as clear as daylight.

But Meng Ran was not going out.

She said, ”I’m so hungry, but my agent won’t let me eat, I’m thinking of sneaking out to grab some food.”

For idol celebrities like Meng Ran, talent agencies have very strict requirements on their figures and even supervise their diet, not allowing them even an extra bite.

Zhou Yun said, ”Liu Zhikun is at the door, there are lots of people, you’d likely get caught if you go out now.”

Meng Ran looked disappointed, ”Ah? What should I do then? I’m really so hungry.”

Seeing this, Zhou Yun said, ”How about this, whatever you want to eat, come to my room, I’ll order takeout.”

Meng Ran looked at Zhou Yun with surprise, ”Really? Thank you, Sister Xiao Yun! You are the best!”

She hugged Zhou Yun tightly and thanked her warmly.

Zhou Yun smiled.

Ultimately, Meng Ran herself knew she shouldn’t overeat, and didn’t order much, just a serving of dumplings for herself.

Seeing what Meng Ran ordered, Zhou Yun suddenly felt pity. She thought Meng Ran was craving something like fried chicken which her agent wouldn’t allow, but it turned out to be just dumplings. It seemed like Meng Ran was really starving. Zhou Yun shook her head, inwardly criticizing Meng Ran’s agent a bit, then took out her phone and saw that someone was talking in the ”Four Killers” group chat.

In the chat, Yin Linglin said: Liu Zhikun’s popularity is a bit too much, he’s even blocked the hotel gate.

She also uploaded a photo of Liu Zhikun surrounded by fans at the hotel entrance.

He was densely surrounded by fans, making it difficult to move.

Zhou Yun clicked her tongue.

A while later, Liu Zhikun popped up in the chat, saying: Sorry for causing trouble for everyone.

Meng Ran looked up, ”Sister Xiao Yun, I’m done eating.”

Zhou Yun saw the happy expression on her face and couldn’t help laughing.

”Drink some water, rinse your mouth, don’t let your agent smell anything,” Zhou Yun said.

Meng Ran nodded, ”I will wait a while before going back. I told her that I’m here chatting with you.”

Since Meng Ran worked with her on ”Warm Little Horse,” her agent wouldn’t suspect anything if Meng Ran said she was chatting with her.

Zhou Yun: ”If next time you’re hungry and want to eat something your agent doesn’t allow, you can come find me again. Your health is the most important, don’t always starve yourself, you’re already very thin, don’t ruin your health.”
