Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 145, The Black Dragon Has Arrived!

Translator: Silavin

Thinking of this, Jiang Fengyun felt his blood run cold. It was as if he had seen a Tiger in a cage, believing the Tiger could not get out, so he thought it was fine to throw stones at it, spit on it, even urinate on it.

But now, just as he had unzipped his pants, the Tiger had torn open the cage with one swipe.

He could not even run away in time, because his pants were not even back on yet!

Jiang Fengyun was not a fool. In any other situation, he would have turned tail and ran. He would have used his Profession Characteristics to turn into a shadow to flee. But now, he had already boasted to everyone, bet all the University Points of Wind Cloud Pavilion, and more importantly, countless students were watching this in real time!

Where could he run to!? If he ran, he would no longer be able to show his face at Dragon Capital University anymore! But if he did not run away, could he fight against Lu Fan!? Fight? Fight with what? His face!?

Just as Jiang Fengyun’s body turned rigid and his brain nearly frozen, Lu Fan smiled and said something that almost scared him unconscious: “I have to say, Jiang Fengyun, you’re quite clever to guess that I’ve set you up because I really have a Pet Dragon. Alright. Since you’re the first place winner of the freshmen exam, I’ll give you a treat that even Chen Tianzhi did not have the privilege to see.”

“Everyone! You’ve been doubting whether I really have a Dragon, whether I’m a true Dragon Tamer, right!? Today, I’ll satisfy everyone’s curiosity!” As he spoke, Lu Fan had summoned out a Summoning Array in mid-air.

As the Summoning Array was being formed, everyone present felt as if their hearts were being tightly gripped, almost stopping.

Lu Fan really had a Pet Dragon! And now, he was going to summon his Dragon!

My people in the audience started to swear in their hearts, [To be able to see this Dragon, my life would have no regrets!!]

In an instant, the thousands of people at the scene held their breath, staring intently at the Summoning Array, afraid to miss even a single moment of the Giant Dragon’s appearance.

At the same time, Xu Jing and Jiang Fengyun also watched as the Summoning Array rose into the air and continued to expand, proving that what was about to come out was definitely a huge behemoth, not comparable to Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon.

However, they were different from the outside spectators. The spectators were purely watching for excitement, but these two were about to face the terrifying being that was about to appear!

So, the more excited others were, the more terrified they became.

As the Transport Array took shape and a Dragon Roar that shook the entire arena came from the other side of space, Xu Jing directly sat down on the ground, trembling all over, his lips quivering.

This Dragon Roar was clear, loud, and majestic. With just one roar, the emotions of the entire venue were instantly ignited.

A Dragon! A real Dragon!

Even Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon could not make such a world-disdaining roar. What Lu Fan possessed was definitely not as simple as an Earth Dragon!

From the Summoning Array, a pair of Dragon Claws flickering with black light stretched out, supporting themselves on the array.

Xiao Ye, clad in black scales, slowly emerged from the Summoning Array.

Her appearance, identical to the mythical records of the Dragon Race, coupled with her body of beautiful black scales and the flickering firelight beneath as she breathed, made everyone who saw her feel breathless.

*Ang!* Another Dragon Roar came.

Xiao Ye walked out of the Summoning Array, landed on the ground, stretched her wings, and occasionally exhaled fire from her nose and mouth. She was indicating that she was a Giant Dragon capable of using Dragon Language Magic.

This was a true member of the Dragon Race, absolutely incomparable to Chen Tianzhi’s half-baked Earth Dragon!

Just in appearance alone, Xiao Ye’s body, like the perfect masterpiece from the Creator God, was countless times stronger than Chen Tianzhi’s Armoured Earth Dragon!

At the same time, even without doing anything, Xiao Ye’s unique Dragon Aura spread out the moment she appeared, making many people feel an apocalyptic pressure upon seeing her.

Indeed, Xiao Ye’s body was not particularly large, still some distance from the mountain-like Giant Dragons people had imagined. However, this pressure belonging to the Dragon Race left too deep an impression on them.

If one were to encounter such a being in the Wilderness, forget about fighting or fleeing, just being able to keep themselves from kneeling would already make them strong-willed.

Without a doubt, what Lu Fan had summoned was a Dragon. A real Dragon!

Now, there was no need for anyone to discuss whether Lu Fan really had a Dragon or not. Because now the fact was right before their eyes.

The reason Lu Fan did not summon his Pet Dragon before, but dealt with Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon himself, was not because Lu Fan did not have a Pet Dragon. It was simply because Lu Fan was strong enough to defeat Chen Tianzhi without needing a Pet Dragon.

Moreover, Lu Fan’s Dragon obviously had Pure Blood. For a Giant Dragon to deal with an Earth Dragon, would that not be lowering its noble status as a member of the Dragon Race?

Lu Fan himself was already incredibly strong, and now that his Pet Dragon had been revealed, everyone finally understood just how extraordinary Lu Fan was.

If Chen Tianzhi, who possessed an Earth Dragon, was considered a genius, able to securely sit in the top ten of the freshmen with the power of his Earth Dragon, then Lu Fan could only be described as a monster. No, ‘God’ might be a better word. Having a true Giant Dragon as a Pet Dragon, if not a ‘God’, what else could he be!?

How could a Human possibly contend against a ‘God’… Now that pressure of going against a ‘God’ fell on Wind Cloud Pavilion.

Xu Jing sat, collapsed on the ground, looking at this behemoth before him. He was not only unable to stand up, he was also unaware that his pants were thoroughly soaked.

As for Jiang Fengyun, he was also trembling all over like he was ill. He stared fixedly at the Black Dragon that was looking down on him, his expression extremely complex. There was a hint of a smile on him, perhaps he was mocking himself for being as crazy as to think up such an unrealistic dream, of beating Lu Fan even after he had summoned a real Giant Dragon. There was also fear, because his opponent was not only Lu Fan but also this Black Dragon. However, the most prevalent emotion was a sense of collapse.

Jiang Fengyun wished he could faint, so he would not have to bear this pressure for a second longer. But his subconscious was preventing him from doing so. After all, if he fainted, he would become the laughingstock of Dragon Capital University.

Xiao Ye’s appearance instantly silenced the entire arena. Everyone gazed at the majestic Dragon, not daring to breathe.

Seeing everyone as if in a trance, Lu Fan could not help but find it amusing.

It seemed that Xiao Ye, who was always clinging to him, always asking for hugs and cuddles, was indeed an unattainable God-like existence for ordinary people.

[Just Xiao Ye alone had shocked everyone breathless. If I were to show Xiao Cui, and that unhatched Star Sky Dragon King, wouldn’t a large number of you faint? But, then again, it seems like there is no need to continue this match. Those two have already lost the will to resist after seeing Xiao Ye.]

Lu Fan was quite certain that he could easily walk up to Jiang Fengyun and Xu Jing, and casually throw them off the stage. It would be easy to claim victory at this point. But, doing so would be boring.

[Though I might not like taking advantage of people when they are down, I need to set an example or more people would keep crossing me. For that, I apologise but Jiang Fengyun and Xu Jing, I would need you two to suffer a bit. I have to let everyone know just how pathetic you two are compared to Xiao Ye, before making you admit defeat and leaving. How truly troublesome…]

In that silence, Lu Fan coughed lightly and playfully said:

“Jiang Fengyun, I’ve summoned my Pet Dragon. Shall we officially start the match now? Um… if you regret it, there’s still time. Otherwise, why don’t you have all the members of your Wind Cloud Pavilion come up on stage together?”

As soon as these words were spoken, Jiang Fengyun finally showed some reaction. However, his reaction was merely his eyes moving slightly, shifting his gaze from Xiao Ye to Lu Fan. That was all.

His body was still unable to move due to fear.

Seeing that Jiang Fengyun had been stunned into stupidity with little to no reaction, Lu Fan could not help but feel helpless.

[Are you serious? You’re the champion of the freshmen exam? You want to compete for the title of Freshmen King yet you fail to speak up when in fear? Just what Freshmen King title are you competing for?] Lu Fan really did not want to bully them. Seeing that Jiang Fengyun was already incapacitated, he simply turned to look at the Wind Cloud Pavilion members surrounding the stage.

“Are you Brothers in arms not going to come up and spar with me along with your Brother Jiang? You’re all from Wind Cloud Pavilion, right? Surely you can’t just watch your leader get beaten by me and pretend not to see it? Come on up and play, it’s no big deal. Didn’t you all bet your points? Don’t you want them back? Oh right, the one that called me arrogant earlier, didn’t you say that without your Brother Jiang taking action, you alone could deal with me? Isn’t this the perfect opportunity to prove yourself?”

Below, everyone from Wind Cloud Pavilion were all nearly in tears.

[Go up? There’s a Black Dragon up there, how can we possibly go up… As for Jiang Fengyun, you can deal with him as you please, it has nothing to do with us!]

After Lu Fan’s round of questions, not a single person from Wind Cloud Pavilion dared to make a sound.

As for the one who called him arrogant earlier, after being called out by Lu Fan, he made an *ah* sound and fainted. Though, it was not clear if he was just acting.

Seeing how arrogant the Wind Cloud Pavilion members were when they first appeared and how cowardly they were now, Lu Fan was even more speechless. He had wanted to give Wind Cloud Pavilion a chance to fight with numbers on their side, but they were too useless, no one dared to come up!

[Fine. If that’s the case, you couldn’t be blamed for bullying you.]

“Forget it, Xiao Ye, let’s get to work,” Lu Fan snapped his fingers. “Switch to World Destroyer Form.”

*Ang!* Xiao Ye raised her head and roared. As she roared, her body immediately began to change. She started to change into her World Destroyer Form.

This transformation of Xiao Ye’s body once again set the silent arena into a frenzy.

“Is this what a real Giant Dragon is like?”

“It is already so intimidating, and it can still change Forms to become even stronger!?”
