Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 114, Trash Plus Trash Still Just Equals To Trash

Translator: Silavin

After Lu Fan and the Armoured Earth Dragon both retreated, it was Lu Fan who counterattacked first due to his advantage in Agility.

“Dragon Fang Strike!” With Lu Fan’s low roar, he threw a punch, and a huge phantom Dragon Head flashed past, striking towards the Armoured Earth Dragon.

Lu Fan’s use of a Skill immediately made Chen Tianzhi tense up. He quickly commanded the Armoured Earth Dragon to use its newest Skill, Guardian Stance, to reduce the incoming Physical Damage by 40%.

The Armoured Earth Dragon lowered its head and arched its back. A layer of earthy yellow mist rose on its body surface. It looked ethereal, and could help dissipate some of the incoming damage.

However, even with this, when Lu Fan’s Dragon Fang Strike hit the Armoured Earth Dragon, it still sent its massive body rolling away. At the same time, numerous electric arcs appeared on Lu Fan’s body, apparently triggering the Passive effect of Roar of the Blue Dragon King.

This was adding insult to injury for the Armoured Earth Dragon. Its Mana Attribute were already low, and Guardian Stance could only reduce Magic Attack by 20%. Once Roar of the Blue Dragon King was triggered, it had absolutely no resistance and got Paralysed.

The Armoured Earth Dragon was sent flying, rolling several times before landing in front of Chen Tianzhi. Electric arcs still occasionally flashed on its body, Paralysing it and making it difficult to move.

Chen Tianzhi’s whole body trembled as he looked at the Armoured Earth Dragon that had been beaten back. He could hardly believe what he was seeing.

He could not understand why his Armoured Earth Dragon was no match for Lu Fan. Why were they both Dragon Tamers, but there seemed to be such a difference between them…

At this moment, a black energy suddenly appeared out of thin air and was injected into the Armoured Earth Dragon’s body.

The previously Paralysed Armoured Earth Dragon suddenly flipped over, letting out a painful roar from its mouth. At the same time, its scales began to extend outwards, and the Back Sword Scales on its back stood up high, as if activating the Skill, Back Sword Scales.

Chen Tianzhi came to his senses and turned to look at Jin Zhu.

At this point, Jin Zhu no longer had the satisfied expression of imminent revenge from earlier. Instead, her face was cold and livid.

She held her staff, and as she waved it, one black ball of energy after another formed, dancing around her.

Chen Tianzhi was stunned and said, “Princess, I thought you said I would deal with Lu Fan…”

“Are you his match!?” Jin Zhu’s words made Chen Tianzhi swallow the rest of what he was about to say.

Jin Zhu glanced at the Armoured Earth Dragon and coldly continued, “Lu Fan hasn’t even summoned his Black Dragon King, and you and your Armoured Earth Dragon are already at a disadvantage. With so many people watching, Chen Tianzhi, how can you still call yourself a Dragon Tamer in the future!? Both of you are Dragon Tamers, but your Dragon can’t even beat him alone, who is just a mere Human. If you join my Jin Family in the future, won’t you just bring ridicule to the Jin Family? When my Brother comes to see me, what face will I have left to introduce you to him?”

These words made Chen Tianzhi lower his head. He was full of self-blame and guilt.

However, he really had no choice in this. Lu Fan’s Strength was really beyond his imagination.

Jin Zhu added, “So, to regain the face that you’ve lost when the Armoured Earth Dragon was beaten back earlier, you’d better deal with Lu Fan as quickly as possible!”

“Yes, Princess!” Chen Tianzhi nodded heavily and waved his hand, casting the Skill, Dragon’s Determination, on the Armoured Earth Dragon.

Lu Fan narrowed his eyes and looked at the Skill Chen Tianzhi had cast.

The Skill he cast seemed to have significantly increased the Armoured Earth Dragon’s Endurance Attribute, but there was no noticeable increase in its other Attributes.

Originally, Lu Fan had thought that Chen Tianzhi would cast Dragon Encouragement. But now, it seemed that would not be the case.

[Could it be that although we are both Dragon Tamers, our Skills are different?] Before Lu Fan could further ponder, Jin Zhu had already repeatedly waved her staff, injecting one black ball of energy after another into the Armoured Earth Dragon’s body.

[These should all be Buffs that Jin Zhu’s Hidden Profession allows her to cast.]

As one Buff after another was applied, the Armoured Earth Dragon quickly underwent a drastic change. The already massive body of the Armoured Earth Dragon swelled to twice its original size, its Dragon Scales standing up like daggers. Its claws and fangs also became longer, exposed to the air. The thought of being scratched or bitten by them was terrifying.

At the same time, its back even bulged up and grew a pair of blood-coloured fleshy wings. However, these fleshy wings were completely different from a Giant Dragon’s wings. They looked more like Demon Wings instead, giving off an eerie feeling.

With the help of these wings, the Armoured Earth Dragon, actually flapped its wings and flew up, seemingly transforming from an Earth Dragon into a Flying Dragon.

Around it, many black balls of energies swirled, these black energies resembling Human faces, occasionally biting the Armoured Earth Dragon, causing it to let out shrill roars of anger.

At this point, the Armoured Earth Dragon’s eyes were completely red. The multiple Buffs stacked on it caused it great pain, but at the same time, it gained a massive increase in Strength.

The Armoured Earth Dragon now looked nothing like a Dragon, but more like a Demon flying out of Hell.

Seeing this, the surrounding students watching the battle all felt a strong sense of pressure in their hearts, as if they were facing a High Level Boss Monster.

Everyone even had no doubt that if the protective barrier got removed, this Armoured Earth Dragon might start a killing spree.

“How did an Armoured Earth Dragon turn into this? It no longer looks like anything resembling a Dragon…”

“It must be due to the Buffs Chen Tianzhi’s teammate applied to the Armoured Earth Dragon, right? I feel like the Armoured Earth Dragon’s Strength has increased significantly compared to before.”

“Chen Tianzhi’s teammate is one of the Top Ten Freshman Beauties. She is called Jin Zhu. I heard she’s a Princess from Extremistis Country, studying abroad at our Dragon Capital University. Her Hidden Profession seems to be Spirit Witch, which is said to be quite mysterious.”

“Ahhh… a Hidden Profession, no wonder. But speaking of which, this Extremistis Country Princess is so beautiful so why are her Profession Skills so dark? Originally, the Earth Dragon looked like a Giant Lizard, but it at least had some Dragon Characteristics to it and looked quite cool. But after she added her Buffs, ermmmm…”

“Hey, looks can’t be eaten as food, Combat Power is what really matters. After Jin Zhu added her Buffs, this Armoured Earth Dragon seems to have had a significant increase in Strength. If Lu Fan does not summon his Pet Dragon soon, it might be trouble.”

“Yeah, Lu Fan being able to arm wrestle with a Dragon is indeed something I never would have imagined, but I don’t think he can engage in close combat with that Armoured Earth Dragon anymore. If he tries to clash head-on like before, he might get torned apart…”

“Lu Fan, summon your Pet Dragon and let us see it, please…”

On the stage, Jian Ying’s expression changed as she felt the pressure emanating from the Armoured Earth Dragon. She thought to herself, [Facing such a Monster, even I have no chance of winning. All my trump cards would be useless against it…]

She took out both the Blood Breaker Sword and the Army Breaker Sword, preparing to face the enemy together with Lu Fan.

Her unusual movement was noticed by Lu Fan.

Without turning his head, Lu Fan waved his hand and said, “You don’t need to come up, I can handle it.”

Jian Ying frowned and refused, “But there are two of them…”

“It’s fine, trash plus trash still just equals to trash,” Lu Fan said casually, not showing any caution despite the Armoured Earth Dragon’s transformation.

Jian Ying pouted but chose not to say anything in the end. She did not put away her two swords though. She wanted to be ready to help if needed.

Lu Fan’s words naturally fell on Jin Zhu’s ears as well. Her anger grew even more. After adding Buffs to the Armoured Earth Dragon, she waved her staff repeatedly, sending one black ball of energy after another towards Lu Fan, flying into his body.

Lu Fan did not even try to avoid them, allowing Jin Zhu to apply her Debuffs on him.

As the black energy poured into his body, Lu Fan did not feel any discomfort.

Due to Bloodline Sharing, Lu Fan would get half the effect of the Passive Skills from Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye.

Both Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye had Dragon Bloodline, born with 100% Immunity to Debuffs.

Originally, Lu Fan only had Xiao Ye, so he only had 50% Immunity to Debuffs. However, with Xiao Cui, the Black Dragon King Bloodline and Jade Dragon King Bloodline stacked. It had directly maxed out Lu Fan’s Debuff Resistance!

In other words, now that Lu Fan had two Dragon King Bloodlines in his body, he was Immune to all Debuffs, no different from the Dragon Race!

Furthermore, due to Lu Fan’s extremely High Mana Attribute, he was now a Mage Killer.

Magic Attacks could hardly penetrate his defences, and Debuffs had no effect on Lu Fan, leaving Mages with no solution to deal with him.

Jin Zhu’s Debuffs had absolutely no effect on Lu Fan, but Jin Zhu was unaware of this.

Although she was puzzled as to why Lu Fan showed no signs of being affected after being hit by her Debuffs, she had seen with her own eyes that all that black energy had indeed entered Lu Fan’s body.

She could only assume that Lu Fan had High Resistance to the Dark Element, or for some other reason, her curses were not very effective on Lu Fan.

Regardless, this was how her Skills worked. They could greatly enhance her teammate’s Combat Power while weakening the opponent.

With this give and take, Jin Zhu really could not believe that the Armoured Earth Dragon would still lose to Lu Fan!

Forget about Lu Fan, even against the Black Dragon King, Jin Zhu was confident that the Armoured Earth Dragon, enhanced by her Buffs, could directly kill it!

“Chen Tianzhi, kill him!” Jin Zhu growled in a low voice, and Chen Tianzhi naturally complied.

“Go!” With Chen Tianzhi’s command, the Armoured Earth Dragon immediately flapped its wings and flew, roaring as it charged towards Lu Fan.

It was as if it had endured great pain and could finally vent on Lu Fan. This one move gave everyone a lot of pressure. Anyone seeing such a creature pouncing towards them would choose to flee.
