Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 133, Dragon Summoning Bone Flute

Translator: Silavin

Seeing these three orbs of light, Jian Ying consciously took a step back. She did not even want to  look at their Attributes. After all, she had already agreed with Lu Fan earlier that for this Secret Realm, she only wanted the Experience Points. She would claim none of the other rewards dropped.

Having gained so many Levels in this Secret Realm, Jian Ying was already more than satisfied. As for the Clear Rewards, she definitely would not compete with Lu Fan for them.

[Clearing a Secret Realm with someone wise is indeed comforting.] Lu Fan did not say much, thinking he should look at the Clear Rewards first.

As Lu Fan waved his hand, the three halos of light dissipated, revealing the true nature of the rewards.

The first thing that caught his eye was a pair of giant bone wings. The bone wings had a wingspan of nearly two metres, looking a bit like Dragon Wings whose flesh had decayed, leaving only a skeletal frame. Although they were just a pair of bone wings, their appearance was quite impressive. The bones were crystalline like jade, yet also possessing a sense of deadliness.

Next was something similar to a saddle, which Lu Fan had never seen before and could not tell if it was an equipment or a Special Item.

The third item was a bone flute that was about the size of a fist. It seemed somewhat worn out, covered in cracks. In fact, it seemed to be on the verge of shattering at any moment.

Each of the three items were stranger than the last, with all not being normal equipment. In fact, they all seem strange.

This truly piqued Lu Fan’s curiosity.

Lu Fan reached out and took the items, carefully examining their Attributes to see what use they might have.

The first item he checked was that pair of bone wings. Reading its details immediately surprised Lu Fan.

Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings: (Diamond, Extra Equipment, Does Not Occupy Equipment Slot)
Required Level: 60

Agility +356

Strength +291

Mana +246

Endurance +234

Additional Trait: Soaring – After equipping the Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings, gain the ability to fly. Significantly increase flight and movement speed.

Additional Skill:

Dragon Language Unsealing (Active Skill) – After use, the next Skill automatically evolves. Skill being evolved must be a Dragon Race Skill.

[Wow, a Level 60 Diamond Equipment!] Lu Fan’s equipment was mostly Gold, which was already top-tier among Profession Change Players of his Level. Moreover, Lu Fan had a Platinum cloak.

With just this set of equipment, unless one was from a big Family willing to spend money, no one else would be able to obtain it.

Lu Fan was already quite experienced when it came to obtaining treasure, but this was his first time seeing Diamond Equipment.v

Generally, people would not sell Platinum Equipment, as everyone who obtained it would try to use it. On the rare occasions Platinum Equipment was available on the market but it would always fetch an astronomical price.

If this was the case for Platinum, it was even more so for Diamond Equipment.

Almost every Diamond Equipment was priceless. Whenever someone offered Diamond Equipment for sale, it was worthy of a major auction at the Dragon Capital’s auction house. The Diamond Equipment would typically be placed as the finale.

This piece of Diamond Equipment added to All Four Attributes, and very balanced. Furthermore, each added Attribute was extremely high, totaling about 1,100 points. This was five times that of Lu Fan’s Crimson Cloak of Flame and Frost!

As for the Additional Trait, Soaring, it could make the wearer more agile and fly. It had to be noted that apart from some specific Professions and Skills, not many people could achieve flight. Wearing this equipment would directly give the advantage to its user in aerial combat, providing an absolute advantage in PvP.

The other Additional Skill, Dragon Language Unsealing, was something Lu Fan had already personally experienced. A simple Dragon Breath, enhanced by this Skill, turned into a Five Elements Dragon Incantation. Lu Fan still had a vivid impression of when those countless wind blades rained down.

[This Skill can only be used on Dragon Race Skills. It is basically tailor-made for me! As a Dragon Tamer, every one of my Skill is obtained from the nourishment of Dragon Bloodline. All of them can be considered as Dragon Race Skill. In short, the Dragon Language Unsealing Skill will Enhance all of my Skills!]

[What power would Dragon Fang Strike have when Enhanced? What changes would occur to Dragon Claw when Enhanced? What world-destroying power would Rage of the Ice Dragon King and Roar of the Blue Dragon King showcase. They are already Dragon Language Magic, so would they be further enhanced!?]

Lu Fan was too excited. The terrifying aspect of this equipment did not stop there. It was an Extra Equipment piece, which did not occupy any of his Equipment Slots. This meant that it was not considered a Weapon, Helmet, Necklace, Chestplate, Legging, Bracers, Belt, Boots, or Rings.

Even if all equipment slots were filled, these Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings could still be equipped, with all these Attributes, Additional Skills, and Additional Traits being available for free.

Compared to other equipment, Extra Equipment could always be worn since it did not take an Equipment Slot. Lu Fan had heard that the price of Extra Equipment was much higher than regular equipment, about eight to ten times that of the best equipment of the same Level.

This made the value of these Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings truly immeasurable.

Of course, Lu Fan would never consider selling such priceless equipment after obtaining it. It was just too perfect for him as a Dragon Tamer, so he would definitely keep it for his own use in the future.

However, the Level Requirement was 60, and Lu Fan was only Level 28 right now. He was still far from being able to equip it.

Though, Lu Fan had heard that some powerful Enchanters might be able to create a ‘No Level Requirement’ Enchantment Scroll. As long as this scroll was used to enchant equipment, it could make the equipment’s Level Requirement purely decorative. This would allow even a Level 10 Profession Change Player to equip it.

However, the value of such an Enchantment Scroll might not be lower than the Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings. Such scrolls were equally priceless. For Lu Fan to buy one would be him daydreaming.

[Given such amazing equipment but unable to equip it is truly torturous.] Lu Fan had no choice but to put it away, waiting until he could equip it in the future to take it out again.

The first equipment being so overpowered that it made Lu Fan even more excited about the next two items.

He took the second item and swiped it with his hand, revealing its Attribute Panel before his eyes.

Dragon Saddle (Pet Equipment)
Requirement: Pet must have Dragon Bloodline and reach Maturing Period

Additional Trait: Once equipped, Pet can be mounted. When mounted, Master and Pet’s Attributes stack and become shared. The rider’s normal attacks is now imbued with Dragon Qi, capable of dealing Ranged Damage.

This Pet Equipment left Lu Fan dumbfounded for a long time.

[As its name suggests, it allows Pet Dragons to become mountable. According to the description, once the Dragon Saddle is used to mount a Pet Dragon, the Master and Pet’s Attributes would stack and become shared, essentially making the rider and Dragon one entity. So, in a way, in the future, I would have a chance to mount Xiao Ye and share our Attributes…]

[That would mean I would be able to wield her more than 50,000 Strength or Mana Attribute! Even with such Attributes, even a casual sword strike would carry Dragon Qi and be a Ranged Attack! And, casting Dragon Language Magic would be comparable to casting a Forbidden Spell!  This would not only turn me into an imposing Dragon Knight, but it would also basically turn me into another Dragon inside the team!].

[In future, for High Level Boss battles like the one we just had, I would be able to fight alongside Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui, rather than just hiding in the back watching Xiao Ye tank and deal damage. The only pity is that I can’t equip it yet, like the Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings. Even at her Level, Xiao Ye, is still only in her Growth Period. To reach her Maturing Period, it might require her to be at least Level 30.]

[Well, no matter. It is only a matter of time before Xiao Ye would be able to equip this Dragon Saddle. It shouldn’t take too long. Perhaps by the time the National Trial Secret Realm opens, I would be able to transform into a Dragon Knight and wreak havoc in the National Trial Secret Realm?]

After putting away the second Clear Reward, Lu Fan secretly prayed that the last one would not be another item he could not use.

Although this was a High Level Secret Realm, and it was normal for the dropped equipment and items to have High Level Requirements, which he had not fulfilled, having every item be so powerful still made his heart itch. [To not be able to use it, only able to see them sitting in my Inventory… isn’t this just torture? It makes me want to claw at the walls!]

[Fine. Fine. This happening once or twice is still acceptable. Just please don’t let it happen a third time…] After praying, Lu Fan opened the description of the third reward.

Dragon Summoning Bone Flute (Special Item)

Current remaining uses: 3

The description was simple. In comparison to the previous two, this item was not very appealing.

The Dragon Summoning Bone Flute could summon two Flying Dragon Kings, not the actual souls of the two they fought earlier.

The Attributes of these two Flying Dragon Kings was decent, reaching about one-third of Xiao Ye’s Base Attributes. They definitely surpassed Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon.

Having these two Flying Dragon Kings help kill Monsters would indeed significantly boost Lu Fan’s Combat Power again. However, the key point was that this item had a usage limit. This greatly reduced Lu Fan’s interest in it. After all, he could not really get excited about something that would break after three uses.

[In the first place, the Flying Dragon Kings summoned will not be as strong as Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye. Rather than keeping this for myself as mere icing on the cake, it would be better to give it to Auntie. This would allow her to have some ability to protect herself. Though her current Level is quite low, with the Attribute of these two Flying Dragon Kings, they would be able to easily overwhelm even a group of Second Profession Change Players.]

Just as Lu Fan had this thought, he suddenly remembered something. [Oh, that’s right. Xiao Cui has a Skill that I’ve never asked her to use before. Her Devour and Assimilate!]
