Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 107, End of Exam Preparation

“Just call me whenever you’re going to clear Dungeon Instances.” With this one sentence, though not directly answering, it was as good as an answer.

Lu Fan smiled and said, “Alright. Since we’re neighbours anyway, I’ll just go to your place and call you when we’re going to clear Dungeon Instances. By the way, why don’t we exchange phone numbers or something?”

Jian Ying shook her head and said, “I don’t use a mobile phone.”

“Uh… okay then.” Lu Fan helplessly shrugged.

For someone like Jian Ying, it was not strange for her to not use a mobile phone.

Soon, everyone returned to Villa No. 1, including Jian Ying.

Han Ke had been slacking off and just eating at the team’s Experience Points the whole time, so she did not need any rest. As soon as she got home, she went straight to the kitchen to busy herself.

Before long, a table full of sumptuous food was served, making everyone exclaim with satisfaction.

Although Han Ke could not help much in combat, she had the logistics aspect firmly under control.

Various foods with different Attributes made everyone feel refreshed after eating, sweeping away all fatigue.

Even Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye, the two Baby Dragons, ate until their bellies were round, lying on their backs on the dining table like two small raised hills.

Originally, Han Ke and the others even wanted to persuade Jian Ying to stay overnight in Villa No. 1, as there were enough rooms and having one more person would not be a problem.

However, for Jian Ying, who had extreme social anxiety disorder, eating a meal with everyone was already unprecedented.

When it came to living together, she naturally could not bring herself to agree and eventually returned to Villa No. 2 to rest.

Over the next half month, Lu Fan and the others’ University life gradually got on track.

The teaching conditions at Dragon Capital University were quite relaxed, mainly encouraging students to grow on their own. The school teachers would provide help but they would not interfere too much. Therefore, the University courses were not too packed, leaving students a lot of free time.

This was especially true for Hidden Professions, which basically had no compulsory courses. Almost all courses for them were electives. They were unlike Tao Xiaoman, who could not skip some compulsory Swordsman courses, or she would lose points.

Although he did not have to attend most classes, Lu Fan did not waste the educational resources of Dragon Capital University. He still chose to attend certain courses, such as combat awareness courses, High Level Monster study courses, and other general courses. Lu Fan rarely missed a class.

In these classes, Lu Fan indeed learned a lot of knowledge and gained a better understanding of this world.

As a Hidden Profession, compared to Lu Fan, Qin Qiu had more courses to attend.

She would attend Priest specialisation courses and Mage specialisation courses whenever she had time.

Lu Fan did not need to attend these courses because the Dragon Tamer Profession was very strange. It was too versatile, seemingly related to Warrior, Mage, Summoner, and Priest, but not closely related to any of them.

So, Lu Fan only studied general combat theory courses.

Only these comprehensive courses could significantly help improve his strength.

Besides attending classes, what everyone had to do was clear the Poison Spider Forest Dungeon Instance.

Basically, Lu Fan would clear this Dungeon Instance once a day with Qin Qiu, Jian Ying, and the others. If they had fewer courses and more time, they would even clear it twice.

With the massive Experience Points gained from the Poison Spider Dungeon Instance, everyone’s Levels rapidly rose.

Han Ke was already Level 18, while Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman were both Level 22.

Lu Fan and Jian Ying were Level 25 and 24 respectively.

With the help of the Accelerated Growth Aura, Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui had reached Level 19 and 14 respectively.

Originally, Xiao Ye had reached the Growth Period at Level 10, and unlocked the World Destroyer Form and Destruction Dragon Form.

Lu Fan estimated that Xiao Cui would also enter the Growth Period at Level 10, and her strength would undergo a qualitative change.

However, to Lu Fan’s disappointment, Xiao Cui’s Infant Form seemed to last much longer than Xiao Ye’s. Even now at Level 14, she still had not reached her Growth Period.

Moreover, the experience required for these two black holes to Level Up was becoming increasingly terrifying. Lu Fan led the team to clear the Poison Spider Forest Dungeon Instances for straight three days and they still could not increase their Levels.

The higher the Level, the harder it was to Level up. Originally, Lu Fan had hoped to use the month before the freshmen exam to push for Second Profession Change, and to get Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui to Level 20 and 15 respectively. However, that wish seems like it would fall through.

However, when Xiao Cui reached Level 10, she did not merely get an increase in Attributes.

All her Skills Level up to LV3, becoming more powerful than before, but she also comprehended a new Passive Skill – Dragons’ Bond.

Dragons’ Bond (Passive Skill, LV Max) – When the Jade Dragon King fights alongside other Dragons or teammates with Dragon Bloodline, it activates Dragons’ Bond. All units with Dragon Bloodline, including oneself, have their Attributes and Combat Power increased by 20% * number of units.
This was another incredibly powerful Passive Skill.

Now, Lu Fan had two Dragons, Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye. Under the aura of Dragons’ Bond, one person and two Dragons simultaneously increased by 3*20%, which was a 60% increase in Attributes and Combat Power.

Xiao Ye’s highest Attribute, under extreme conditions, was already close to 20,000 due to the existence of this Skill!

In the future, as the number of Pet Dragons Lu Fan owned increased, the Attribute increase from this Dragons’ Bond would become more and more incredible.

If Lu Fan owned four Pet Dragons, then his and all his Pet Dragons’ Combat Power would directly surge by 100%! This was terrifying to the extreme!

It could be said that with Xiao Cui’s growth, Lu Fan and Xiao Ye’s strength, under her support, was skyrocketing.

Moreover, Lu Fan firmly believed that when Xiao Ye reached Level 20 and Xiao Cui reached Level 15, the two Baby Dragons’ strength would surely surge again!

Although the goals set before the freshmen exam had not been accomplished, Lu Fan firmly believed that the mere freshmen exam would be even easier for him than the major exam.

He was determined to take first place!

In the blink of an eye, there were only two days left before the freshmen exam.

In the deepest part of the Poison Spider Forest Dungeon Instance, fire filled the sky.

The depression where the Shrieking Broodmother was located had once again turned into a volcano crater, with everything being incinerated.

Then, streams of light gathered, converging in front of everyone.

Lu Fan dispersed it and saw that inside the light was a piece of armour – Dull Poison Spider Armour.

Seeing this, Lu Fan smiled and tossed the armour to Tao Xiaoman, saying, “The fourth piece of the Poison Spider Equipment Set, we finally got it for you before the freshmen exam.”

“Yeah!” Tao Xiaoman was overjoyed, took the armour, and immediately equipped it.

Instantly, this armour appeared on Tao Xiaoman’s body, adjusting slightly to her curvaceous figure, making Tao Xiaoman look both valiant and graceful, without losing the charm of her womanly figure.

After clearing the Poison Spider Forest so many times, everyone, with their incredible luck, had been rewarded with a total of seven pieces of the Poison Spider Equipment Set.

Three of them were duplicates, which Tao Xiaoman had already taken to the school’s auction house to exchange for some points for everyone to continue clearing Dungeon Instances.

And now, the final piece has finally dropped!

After Tao Xiaoman equipped it, the Set Bonus was immediately activated. She waved her long sword, and a black spider web appeared out of thin air, shooting out at high speed and wrapping around a large tree in the distance.

Tao Xiaoman was overjoyed and said to everyone, “This Skill is really useful. Besides trapping my enemies, I can also trigger a Poisoned Debuff Effect. In the future, when facing Ranged Combat Professions, I won’t have to worry about them Kiting me. This is simply made for PvP!”

Nearby, Jian Ying, holding her Ocean Freezing Sword, looked over and said expressionlessly, “My Ocean Freezing Sword just Levelled Up too. It’s now Level 24, like me.”

When the Ocean Freezing Sword reached Level 20, it automatically upgraded to Gold. Although Jian Ying did not disclose its Attributes and additional characteristics, it was easy to imagine that with the Ocean Freezing Sword’s improvement, Jian Ying’s strength had also surged.

With just the three weapons: Blood Breaking, Army Breaker, and Ocean Freezing; all with completely different characteristics, Jian Ying was bound to shine in the freshmen exam.

Lu Fan saw that both Jian Ying and Tao Xiaoman had improved their strength after clearing this Dungeon Instance, and looked helplessly at Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui, whose Levels had not increased. He made a bitter smile. [Haaa… you two… seems like my little ones will only Level Up after the freshmen exam…]

“Alright!” Lu Fan spoke up, attracting everyone’s attention, “Let’s head back then. Although it’s still early, we don’t have time to clear another Dungeon Instance. We have classes tomorrow morning, and there’s what they call the ‘Mobilisation General Assembly’ for the freshmen exam in the afternoon. We probably won’t have time to come back. The day after tomorrow is the official start of the freshmen exam. In other words, we’ve now completed our exam preparations and are just waiting for the freshmen exam to officially begin. In my experience, it’s better to rest well and be in good condition rather than squeezing in time to clear Dungeon Instances and Level up, don’t you all agree?”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Over these days, everyone has been using all their time to clear Dungeon Instances and Level Up. They were indeed quite tired.

With the freshmen exam approaching, it would not be a bad idea to have a good rest.

Han Ke even smiled and said that as the logistics support of the team, she would definitely make good food for everyone to replenish their energy over these two days.

Everyone agreed. With the freshmen exam approaching, they would not clear any more Dungeon Instances. They would go back to rest and wait for the freshmen exam to start!

So, everyone left the Dungeon Instance, planning to head back.

They arrived at the Dungeon Hall, but before they could leave, they saw the beautiful teacher, Gu Han, waiting in the Dungeon Hall. It was not clear how long she had been waiting. Nevertheless, as soon as she saw Lu Fan and the others arrive, she quickly walked over from the rest area.

“Lu Fan, please wait a moment!” Gu Han directly called out to Lu Fan.

Everyone stopped and greeted Gu Han.

Lu Fan further inquired, “What’s the matter, Miss Gu? Do you need something from me?”

Gu Han nodded and straightforwardly said, “Yes. Actually, it’s not me, but our University’s Vice Principal Zhao who wants to see you. He said he has something important to tell you.”

“I originally went to Villa No. 1 to find you, but when I learned you were clearing a Dungeon Instance, I came here.”

“Oh? Vice Principal Zhao is looking for me?!” Lu Fan was slightly surprised.
