Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 124, Xiao Cui Finally Enters the Growth Period

Translator: Silavin

These Monsters were called Undead Flying Dragons, a Level 55 Elite Monster.

Although they were Elite Monsters, their Attributes were comparable to a Mini Boss. This showed that Flying Dragons, as Demi-Dragons, even after death and becoming Secret Realm Monsters, were still stronger than ordinary Monsters in Dungeon Instances or Secret Realms.

Starting with 5 Undead Flying Dragons, even a full team of five would have trouble dealing with them. However, Lu Fan was no ordinary person.

Without Lu Fan’s command, Xiao Ye had already spewed out a Lava Blaze, directly covering three of the Undead Flying Dragons.

The other two flapped their broken wings, quickly escaping from Xiao Ye’s Skill Effective Range, then charged towards Lu Fan and Jian Ying.

Jian Ying’s face was solemn, not daring to underestimate these High Level Monsters. Relying on Xiao Cui’s Buffs, she immediately used her killing move.

The Army Breaker Sword flew out, followed closely by the Blood Breaker Sword, constantly rotating around the Army Breaker Sword. The two combined to form a Blood-coloured Dragon, charging straight at one of the Flying Dragons.

This was the combination Skill of the Army Breaker and Blood Breaker Sword, merging the characteristics of both swords, having both the destructive power of the Army Breaker Sword and the flexibility of the Blood Breaker Sword.

Even the Undead Flying Dragon could not avoid this sword strike, being directly pierced by the Blood-coloured Dragon.

However, this single strike was not enough to one-shot an Undead Flying Dragon.

Jian Ying activated her Skill, stabbing the Undead Flying Dragon three more times, finally killing it in mid-air.

Compared to Jian Ying, Lu Fan was much more straightforward. He directly used Flash Spirit Leap to reach mid-air, simultaneously throwing a punch with his Dragon Claw, using Dragon Fang Strike.

This punch directly shattered the last Undead Flying Dragon on the spot.

When Xiao Ye’s flames from her Lava Blaze dissipated, the three Undead Flying Dragons had turned to charcoal, falling from the sky.

The five Undead Flying Dragons were easily killed by the two, turning into Experience Points.

Lu Fan carefully sensed that although these five Undead Flying Dragons were only Elite Monsters, the Experience Points they provided were no less than the Difficult Bosses in Poison Spider Forest.

[As expected of a Secret Realm, apart from the Clear Reward, the Experience Points from killing Monsters are so rich.]

With Xiao Cui present, Lu Fan, Jian Ying, and Xiao Ye essentially had a powerful supply station. They need not worry too much about the cost of casting Skills. So before coming here, they had agreed to Clear the Secret Realm at full speed, not wasting too much time.

Therefore, after dealing with these five Undead Flying Dragons, the two very tacitly continued to advance.

Continuing up the vine, it did not take long before three more Undead Flying Dragons attacked.

This time, Lu Fan and Jian Ying did not even need to act. Xiao Ye directly flew up and tore them to pieces with pure Physical Strength.

The Undead Flying Dragon ambushes continued to appear over a dozen times in the next half an hour, with varying numbers each time. These Monsters served as appetisers for the Secret Realm, and could not stop Lu Fan’s group at all. They merely all turned into Experience Points.

Just as Lu Fan was wondering if the Monsters in this Secret Realm were a bit monotonous, the next wave of Monsters brought about a change.

In addition to the regular Undead Flying Dragons, there appeared a type of Undead Flying Dragon that spewed Corpse Poison from its body, called a Undead Poisonous Flying Dragon.

This was a Level 55 Mini Boss, with Attributes much higher than the Undead Flying Dragons. Its attacks also carried Corpse Poison. Once infected, it would continuously drain Health Points. Without a Priest to timely cast Purify, one might die in the Secret Realm.

Of course, this type of Monster was nothing for Lu Fan’s group.

With Xiao Ye at the front, these Undead Poisonous Flying Dragons could not get close to Lu Fan and Jian Ying. Even if anyone on the team got Poisoned, it was just a matter of Xiao Cui using one Jade Light to solve the problem.

Soon, the number of Undead Flying Dragons gradually decreased, replaced by these Undead Poisonous Flying Dragons.

An hour later, after clearing a group of over a dozen Undead Poisonous Flying Dragons, Lu Fan and Jian Ying had not gone far before encountering the first proper Main Stage Boss.

On the vine path, a huge Bone Dragon was lying prone, seemingly asleep.

This Bone Dragon was ten times larger than the previous Undead Poisonous Flying Dragons. Its enormous body directly blocked the vine, and they could not continue forward without defeating it.

Its Dragon Flesh had almost completely rotted away, leaving only a skeleton with scattered bits of flesh. Moreover, its skeleton was not complete, with half of its ribs broken, as if it had been through a fierce battle when it was still alive.

Lu Fan used Appraisal Eye on it and learned that this was a Level 60 Terror Boss named Berserk Bone Dragon. It had extremely High Attributes. It had a Skill called Bone Blade Assault, which was an Area of Effect Attack Skill.

For Bone Blade Assault, the Berserk Bone Dragon would release bone blades, causing Pierce Damage to all enemies. Any enemy within its attack range would not be able to escape.

The Secret Realm even had a special introduction for this Boss, saying that this was the skeleton of a Berserker Flying Dragon while still alive, one of the strongest types of Flying Dragons in terms of Combat Power.

Flying Dragons, as Demi-Dragons, encompassed many different branches. Among them, Berserker Flying Dragons were outstanding, with Combat Power far stronger than ordinary Flying Dragons.

Moreover, Berserker Flying Dragons were very rare, with only one in every hundred Flying Dragons.

All Berserker Flying Dragon was the top warrior of a Flying Dragon squad.

After reading this, Lu Fan thought that the Flying Dragon Nest must have been quite a united Dragon community, with many different Flying Dragons nesting here before tragedy struck.

He had heard that Flying Dragons were different from Giant Dragons in this aspect.

True Giant Dragons typically lived alone, disdaining to live with other members of their race.

Although Flying Dragons were not as powerful as Giant Dragons, their personalities were much better. People who had occasionally seen Flying Dragons, and always saw them appear in groups.

Regardless, the problem before them needed to be solved.

After studying the Attributes of this Berserk Bone Dragon, Lu Fan directly had Xiao Ye transform into her World Destroyer Form.

“Is this Xiao Ye’s new form?” It was Jian Ying’s first time seeing Xiao Ye’s World Destroyer Form. She immediately noticed it was very different from the previous Destruction Dragon Form.

Lu Fan did not hide anything and directly explained, “That’s right, it’s another form. This can be considered her Physical Attack Form. Now, her Strength Attribute has exceeded 10,000, and her Skills are all inclined towards close combat. As you can see, the Berserk Bone Dragon has an Area of Effect Skill. As a Level 60 Terror Boss, that Skill is very dangerous for us to take on. Even if we have Xiao Ye’s Jade Shield, it’s still better not to take any unnecessary risks. Best is if we can one-shot it before it can use its Skill to counterattack.”

Jian Ying nodded and then asked, “What should I do then? Use the Ocean Freezing Sword’s Crowd Control Skill to help you lock it in place?”

Lu Fan thought for a moment and said, “Don’t use your Ocean Freezing Sword. Your Level and Attributes are too low. The Freeze Effect of the Ocean Freezing Sword probably won’t work. At most, it might just apply a Slow Debuff. You might as well focus on dealing damage. If Xiao Ye’s attack isn’t enough, it will be up to you to supplement more damage to quickly kill it.”

“Alright.” Jian Ying’s response was as simple as ever.

“Then get ready, I’m going in!” Lu Fan called out, taking a step forward, and a bone-chilling cold burst from his body.

This sudden drop in temperature naturally alerted the distant Berserk Bone Dragon. Its huge skeleton made creaking sounds, seeming to wake from its slumbering state to eliminate the intruders in its territory.

However, Lu Fan’s Rage of the Ice Dragon King was fast. The Ice Dragon King’s phantom manifestation appeared, and a Dragon Breath spewed onto the Berserk Bone Dragon.

The bone-chilling cold spread out, enveloping the Berserk Bone Dragon. Even though this was a Level 60 Nightmare Boss, under Lu Fan’s extremely High Mana Attribute, its body was still frozen.

However, after just two seconds, cracks began to appear in the ice encasing the Berserk Bone Dragon, followed by the sound of shattering ice.

Obviously, although the Crowd Control Effect of Rage of the Ice Dragon King had worked, it was very limited, only able to Freeze the Berserk Bone Dragon for a brief two seconds.

Two seconds was not long, but it was enough for Xiao Ye to approach the Berserk Bone Dragon.

At the moment Freeze had ended, Xiao Ye had already reached the top of the Berserk Bone Dragon’s head.

The Berserk Bone Dragon opened its mouth in a silent roar, clearly the prelude of activating a Skill.

Lu Fan could not help but frown. He immediately called for Xiao Cui to be ready to replenish the Jade Shields at any time.

Then, the vine under Lu Fan and Jian Ying’s feet was suddenly broken open, and rows of grim bone blades shot out, stabbing towards the two at extreme speed!

Just as these bone blades were about to hit Lu Fan and Jian Ying’s Jade Shield, Xiao Ye swung down a claw, directly activating the Skill Earth Splitter.

However, Xiao Ye did not directly strike the ground, but focused all the Skill’s power on the Berserk Bone Dragon.

With a loud *boom*, the force of Earth Splitter spread across the Berserk Bone Dragon’s body, and its hard Dragon bones beginning to crumble.

At the same time, the Stun Effect of Earth Splitter was also triggered, forcibly interrupting the Berserk Bone Dragon’s Skill.

The bone blades aiming at Lu Fan and Jian Ying stopped in place, no longer advancing.

Xiao Ye’s strike did not one-shot the Berserk Bone Dragon though. Still, Earth Splitter, boosted by Xiao Ye’s over 10,000 Strength Attribute, caused the Stun Effect on the Berserk Bone Dragon to last for a long time.

As long as Xiao Ye could charge to the Berserk Bone Dragon’s side, she could continue to prevent it from casting its Skill.

Xiao Ye had her Dragon Mouth wide open, her Dragon Roar turning into sound waves rippling outward, causing the Berserk Bone Dragon’s bones to further crumble.

At the same time, the Frightening Roar Skill also caused the Stun Effect on the Berserk Bone Dragon to be prolonged.

Lu Fan had originally planned to add in a Roar of the Blue Dragon King, but Xiao Ye moved faster, swinging her Dragon Tail to fiercely smash the Berserk Bone Dragon.

This strike completely turned the Berserk Bone Dragon into a pile of white bones, becoming Experience Points.

With the death of the Berserk Bone Dragon, a large amount of Experience Points flooded in. Xiao Cui’s body lights her up with a golden glow. She had finally reached Level 15!

At the same time, the emerald green light on Xiao Cui’s body became more dazzling, and her body began to stretch, becoming almost two times larger than before. Her originally rounded body gained more angles, looking very different from her previous Baby Dragon appearance.

Seeing this, Lu Fan was overjoyed. [Finally! Finally, Xiao Cui had entered her Growth Period!]
