Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 140, Beautiful Senior Sister

Translator: Silavin

“Who’s so stubborn? There’s clearly something wrong with this VIP Arena, yet they still dare to go in and give away their points?” Everyone exclaimed, then looked around to see if it was one of their acquaintances who quietly went to give the Dragon Tamer a free win.

Logically, since everyone knew this was a trap set up by that Dragon Tamer, no one should dare to challenge his Open Ring anymore.

However, at this moment, someone still dared to match with the Ninth VIP Arena. So, this person must have thought they were stronger than an Earth Dragon.

“I estimate that in less than two minutes, this challenger will be sent to the third floor for treatment,” some people gloated.

Others also laughed, seeming to enjoy watching others make a fool of themselves.

…

At this time, inside the Ninth VIP Arena. Lu Fan had been waiting bored for quite a while, since no one came to challenge him.

[Guess that my trap has been seen through. Now, the people outside have all become wary, and no one dares to come in and let me practise anymore…] Lu Fan could not help feeling disappointed, thinking that he needed to wait for another time to find more opponents to spar with.

[If no one comes in, might as well close the Open Ring and leave.] Just as he was planning to wait another fifteen minutes, to use up the time he had after renting out this VIP Arena, someone teleported in.

Lu Fan could not help but feel excited. [Oh? Another person had come!]

This person, after entering, walked out of the Transport Array and winked at Lu Fan with a smile that made one’s heart flutter. “Hey there, Junior Brother, I’ve come to spar with you.”

To Lu Fan’s surprise, this person was a beautiful woman. She looked to be about twenty-two or twenty-three years old, wearing a form-fitting cloth armour that perfectly outlined her curvaceous figure. Her face was fair and bright, her skin was delicate, and her features were exquisite and beautiful.

If he had to compare her to someone, the first person Lu Fan thought of was Han Ke. This Beautiful Senior Sister had a mature aura about her, which was very similar to Han Ke. Though, they each had their own unique characteristics.

In terms of appearance, the two women were equally matched, both being rare beauties. Only, if comparing this beautiful woman to Han Ke, the most notable feature was her curvaceous figure. This aspect of her surpassed anyone Lu Fan knew.

Moreover, she had an elegant, mature woman’s aura about her, which was completely different from Han Ke.

The mature aura Han Ke had was a kind of simple elegance, while this beautiful woman’s mature aura was that of passion and liveliness.

This point was not hard to see from the smile on her face. Her outgoing personality was quite similar to Tao Xiaoman, so Lu Fan’s first impression of her was quite good.

“Hello, Senior Sister,” Lu Fan nodded slightly, smiling in greeting.

“Hehe!” Hearing Lu Fan call her ‘Senior Sister’, the Beautiful Senior Sister, for some reason, laughed even more, her eyes curving into crescents.

“Junior Brother, you’re only Level 28? My Level is quite high, how about I go easy on you a bit when we spar?”

Lu Fan smiled and said, “That’s not necessary, Senior Sister. You can go all out.”

“Really?” The Beautiful Senior Sister smiled mischievously, raised her hand, and a ball of flame appeared in her palm.

This ball of flame extended out, transforming into a dark red spear.

This spear was about two metres tall, and although this Beautiful Senior Sister was tall, she was still half a head shorter than the spear. Moreover, the patterns on the spear were constantly changing, emitting sparks, like a burning branding iron. One look was enough to know it was no ordinary item.

Even Lu Fan narrowed his eyes, unable to guess the Level and Grade of this spear. [She is definitely far from ordinary…]

“Then, here I come!” The Beautiful Senior Sister did not waste words, holding the spear with one hand, she charged towards Lu Fan. She was extremely fast.

She was gripping the butt of the spear, with the spear tip touching the ground. As the Beautiful Senior Sister moved quickly, the spear created a large patch of sparks on the arena floor.

She was very fast, fast enough to make even Lu Fan’s tongue tied.

However, Lu Fan quickly reacted, raising his Black Dragon Scale Greatsword, intending to swing it at this Beautiful Senior Sister.

But her movements were too fast, her body turned while she charged forward, and she used a move similar to a back-handed thrust to stab towards Lu Fan’s shoulder.

The spearhead rubbed against the air, making a series of explosive sounds, spraying countless sparks, all clearly very powerful.

[Are you kidding me!?] Lu Fan’s pupils contracted, realising that this Beautiful Senior Sister was completely different from his previous opponents. He had intended to attack, but was forced by this move to defend, bringing his Black Dragon Scale Greatsword across his body to block her spear.

*Clang!* With a sound, the huge force made Lu Fan retreat several steps.

Lu Fan was even more shocked, because his Strength Attribute was a lot higher than Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon, but the other party’s Strength Attribute seemed to be even higher than his!

[What Level is she!?] His fishing for someone to spar with had seemed to have captured a shark!

Lu Fan swung his Black Dragon Scale Greatsword. He was not only shocked by the other party’s Combat Power and Attributes, he started feeling excited. [Finally! I’ve finally met someone I can go all out against!]

This attack from the other party seemed to just be a warning to Lu Fan, not to underestimate her. So after the attack, the Beautiful Senior Sister withdrew her spear, used her left hand to smooth her bangs, and said with a charming smile. “Junior Brother, at the start just now, you could have slashed but you chose to hit with the flat of your blade. Were you afraid of hurting this Senior Sister? No need to worry about that. Your Senior Sister is different from the other students outside, you don’t need to hold back.”

“Just attack freely. I can handle everything you throw at me.” She returned the same words to Lu Fan.

Her smile grew even wider. “On the contrary, if you keep holding back, you are going to get a good lesson from me!”

“I understand, Senior Sister,” Lu Fan grinned, his competitive spirit rising.

He brought his Black Dragon Scale Greatsword across his body and took the initiative to attack using Flash Spirit Leap, to instantly close the distance between him and the Beautiful Senior Sister.

In an instant, Lu Fan appeared above her head, his greatsword slashing down.

The Beautiful Senior Sister did not rely on her high Strength Attribute to clash with Lu Fan directly. Instead, she flipped backwards, gracefully avoiding the slash.

She soon tapped her foot on the ground, returned to the front and thrust her spear upwards, forcing Lu Fan to raise his sword to block.

What followed was a bout of close exchanges.

Lu Fan intentionally wanted to hone his combat awareness and gain more experience, so he did not use any Skills, and did not summon any of his Pet Dragons.

The other party was the same. Relying on only her spear, she put great pressure on Lu Fan.

In terms of Attributes, the other party’s All Four Attributes seemed to be even higher than Lu Fan’s. In terms of skills and experience, the other party far surpassed him as well.

Since his transmigration, Lu Fan had been diligently training and studying, which was why he could be considered the top student in Jianghai City.

However, the other party’s skills in combat were clearly honed through countless battles, and it would not be an exaggeration to describe them as perfect.

Every time, the Beautiful Senior Sister could avoid Lu Fan’s attacks in the simplest and most direct way possible. Meanwhile, counter attacking at the same time, disrupting Lu Fan’s offensive rhythm.

Therefore, in their exchange, Lu Fan was completely outmatched.

If the other party got serious, purely comparing their skills in combat, Lu Fan feared he would not last more than a few rounds before being defeated.

But this Beautiful Senior Sister did not seem intent on purely defeating him. Each time she forced Lu Fan into a desperate situation, she would choose to retreat, giving Lu Fan a chance to reorganise his attack.

Lu Fan was naturally happy with this, as he came here to spar with an evenly matched opponent to improve his skills in combat.

Right now, this Beautiful Senior Sister was intentionally training Lu Fan, and Lu Fan was enthusiastic about exchanging blows with her.

Soon, fifteen minutes had passed, and Lu Fan received a reminder that his VIP Arena was about to close.

Lu Fan was in the midst of sparring with her and was thoroughly enjoying himself. So, how could he let the VIP Arena close? Without a second thought, Lu Fan extended the time by another hour, eagerly continuing to exchange blows with this Beautiful Senior Sister.

To this, the Beautiful Senior Sister just smiled and continued to act as Lu Fan’s sparring partner.

With such a High Level sparring partner, Lu Fan clearly felt that his skills in combat were greatly improving.

The Beautiful Senior Sister was also not stingy with her praises. Every time Lu Fan handled her attacks reasonably in battle, she would praise Lu Fan for it.

Half an hour later, Lu Fan was already sweating, while the Beautiful Senior Sister was still the same as before, not even breathing heavily. This showed how high her Endurance Attribute was.

Originally, Lu Fan wanted to continue, but his phone rang, so this exhilarating sparring session had to end.

Lu Fan smiled apologetically to the Beautiful Senior Sister, retreated to the side, and answered the phone.

The call was from Han Ke, saying that the freshmen exam downstairs had ended, and as everyone had predicted, the champion was Jiang Fengyun.

Now, everyone downstairs had dispersed, and Han Ke was calling to ask Lu Fan to leave together.

Lu Fan wanted to decline, saying he wanted to stay in the Arena for a while longer. However, he saw that the Beautiful Senior Sister had already put away her weapon, intending to end the session. Thus, Lu Fan told Han Ke that he would be down soon.

After hanging up the phone, the Beautiful Senior Sister had already exited the VIP Arena, taking out a dry towel and mineral water prepared by the University. She tossed them to Lu Fan, smiling as she said. “You’ve made a lot of progress today, but I don’t have much time to accompany you. Since you’re heading back now, I should leave too. Let’s spar again some other time.”

Lu Fan was quite disappointed, because he found this person to be really interesting. She came here to challenge him, but did not have the intention of defeating him. Instead, she acts like a teacher, meticulously teaching him how to better handle himself in battle and allowed him to gain more experience.

Lu Fan thought for a moment, then suddenly smiled and said. “Thank you, Senior Sister, for sparring with me today and teaching me so many things. If possible, I would definitely like to find another opportunity to spar with you. Why don’t we exchange contact information, so the next time I come here, I can arrange a match with you in advance?”

Hearing this, the Beautiful Senior Sister smiled and waved her hand. The Transport Array to leave this place appeared, and at the same time, she said with a smile. “Junior Brother, you are really precocious. You’ve just entered University and you’re already asking for a woman’s contact information? You seem quite honest and innocent, I didn’t expect you to be so experienced in wooing others.”

“Nah. I won’t give you my contact information. I often come here to challenge others. If you want to spar with me and let me teach you how, just open another VIP Arena like today. If I see it, I’ll come in to spar with you.” As she spoke, the Beautiful Senior Sister was about to step onto the Transport Array to leave.

However, at this moment, one sentence from Lu Fan made her stop in her tracks.

“You’re not really a student, are you?”
