Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 116, Sea of Lightning, Annihilation

Translator: Silavin

Electric arcs were no longer just appearing around Lu Fan. Sharp-eyed observers noticed that electric arcs had begun to jump across the entire stage floor.

When the scattered pebbles on the stage were occasionally struck by these arcs, they would emit a loud *bang* before being pulverised.

“What… what are you going to do…” Chen Tianzhi felt fear rising from the depths of his heart.

As a Dragon Tamer himself, his sensitivity to Dragon related matters was much keener than ordinary people.

If even the surrounding audience could sense how powerful Lu Fan’s impending Dragon Language Magic was, how much more so for him? He knew deep down that his Armoured Earth Dragon might die!

Chen Tianzhi instinctively wanted to recall his Armoured Earth Dragon into his Pet Sub-Space, but Jin Zhu was beside him, ordering him to urge the Armoured Earth Dragon to escape from its confinement and tear Lu Fan apart.

Jin Zhu was now somewhat frenzied; she simply could not accept the fact that Lu Fan had defeated the Dragon Tamer and Earth Dragon she had chosen without even summoning his own Dragon!

Caught between these conflicting pressures, Chen Tianzhi found it difficult to make a decision.

At this moment, Lu Fan’s second Dragon Language Magic Skill had finally appeared.

“Roar of the Blue Dragon King!” With Lu Fan’s low roar, countless lightning bolts formed around him, then splashed upwards, forming the silhouette of another Giant Dragon.

This Dragon should be the Blue Dragon King, its aura as fierce and no weaker than Xiao Ye in her Destruction Dragon Form!

Moreover, the Blue Dragon King was covered in countless lightning bolts, quite similar to Xiao Ye when she was bathed in flames.

After the Blue Dragon King’s phantom manifestation appeared, it immediately breathed out a mouthful of Dragon Breath. Instantly, countless lightning bolts fell like a waterfall, resembling Heavenly Tribulation descending upon the world!

In an instant, the lightning covered the area encompassed by Rage of the Ice Dragon King.

The remaining cold air was instantly evaporated by the lightning, replaced by a Sea of Lightning.

In an instant, the rumbling was incessant. Everyone’s ears were nearly deafened by the continuous thunder on the stage, and their eyes ached from the constant flashes of lightning, making it impossible to see clearly what was happening on stage.

Amidst the constantly exploding lightning, some people seemed to see the ice on the Armoured Earth Dragon shattering under the continuous lightning strikes, allowing it to break free from its confined state.

But then, the Armoured Earth Dragon was also struck by the lightning around it  and could only howl in extreme pain.

The Armoured Earth Dragon’s Magic Resistance was its weakness, and Lu Fan’s Mana Attribute had reached a terrifying level after being nourished by Dragon Bloodline from both Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui. Additionally, Lu Fan was using Dragon Language Magic, and it was the most powerful Blue Dragon King’s Dragon Language Magic.

How could the Armoured Earth Dragon withstand this? Even with its Dragon Bloodline, it would be hard to survive in this Sea of Lightning…

If even the tough-skinned Earth Dragon was in such a state, what about ordinary people?

No one dared to imagine.

The Sea of Lightning lasted a full half a minute before completely dissipating.

After the Sea of Lightning disappeared, all the watching students looked at the stage and saw only a patch of scorched black in the centre.

From these traces, one could see just how terrifying Lu Fan’s Magic Attack had been.

Unfortunately, there was nothing else in the scorched area. The Armoured Earth Dragon had disappeared. Since there was no carcass, it could only mean that the Armoured Earth Dragon had survived and been recalled by Chen Tianzhi into his Pet Sub-Space.

Although the Skill had not killed the Armoured Earth Dragon, the Strength Lu Fan had displayed from the beginning of the match until now was truly shocking.

Even the word ‘shocking’ could not describe everyone’s feelings at this moment.

Originally, everyone really wanted to see what Lu Fan’s Pet Dragon was like. Although Lu Fan did not use his Pet Dragon, he consecutively used two Dragon Language Magic Skills, which had already left everyone thoroughly impressed.

At this moment, the entire arena was silent, with only the occasional sound of sharp intakes of breaths being heard.

Lu Fan could sense that just as the Armoured Earth Dragon was about to perish under his Roar of the Blue Dragon King, it had been recalled by Chen Tianzhi.

He felt a tinge of regret. [Letting the Armoured Earth Dragon die might have been a kind of release for it. Still, regardless, the outcome for this match has already been decided.]

Lu Fan did not use his Dragon Language Magic on Chen Tianzhi and Jin Zhu, who had already lost their spirit to fight. After all, Dragon Language Magic was too destructive. If he used it on them, the teachers would definitely intervene to stop the match.

So, if Lu Fan wanted to teach Jin Zhu and Chen Tianzhi a lesson, he would need to do it personally.

Without wasting words, Lu Fan slowly walked towards Chen Tianzhi and Jin Zhu, simultaneously dismissing his Dragon Claw, only holding the Black Dragon Scale Greatsword in his hand.

Seeing Lu Fan approaching, Chen Tianzhi, who had just felt relieved about saving his Armoured Earth Dragon, felt his heart leap into his throat.

As Lu Fan walked forward, a great sense of fear welled up in Chen Tianzhi’s heart, causing him to involuntarily step back.

Jin Zhu was the same.

At this moment, where was Jin Zhu’s previous ferocity? Her eyes were only filled with terror.

Originally, she thought that as a Spirit Witch, she could cast her Skills that would allow people to consume from their lifespan to dramatically increase their Strength. Combined with Chen Tianzhi’s Earth Dragon, they would definitely be able to overthrow Lu Fan’s Black Dragon King.

But what was the result?

Lu Fan need not even summoned his Black Dragon King, and the Armoured Earth Dragon had nearly been obliterated.

Lu Fan’s Combat Power had exceeded her imagination.

She now deeply regretted coming to this freshmen exam with Chen Tianzhi.

Jin Zhu now also kept retreating, but soon, both of them were forced by Lu Fan to the edge of the stage, with nowhere left to retreat.

Seeing this, Chen Tianzhi gritted his teeth and tremblingly said, “Princess, why don’t we… surrender… He’s too strong, I’m no match for him…”

Hearing this, although Jin Zhu was unwilling, her rage made her regain her frenzy.

She slapped Chen Tianzhi hard across the face and scolded, “You useless trash! Earlier, you confidently promised that your Earth Dragon would take down his Black Dragon King, but what happened!? Lu Fan didn’t even summon his Dragon! Yet, here you are telling me that he’s too strong, that you’re no match for him!? Our Jin Family even gave you an Earth Dragon! This is all you can show for it? I’ve invested so much effort and resources into you. How did I end up raising such a useless thing!? You said you would protect me, but with your current abilities, can you protect me!?”

Everyone present could not hear what Jin Zhu was saying, but they clearly saw Jin Zhu slap Chen Tianzhi across the face.

Instantly, everyone was in uproar, not understanding why Jin Zhu dared to do this. They also did not understand why Chen Tianzhi was not retaliating.

After all, they knew Chen Tianzhi was from Dragon Country and Jin Zhu was from Extremistis Country. Many people became even more indignant after seeing this scene, feeling that Chen Tianzhi was too spineless.

Naturally, how could Chen Tianzhi not hear the cries of anger from the crowd? But facing Jin Zhu, did he dare to resist?

Even if Chen Tianzhi had countless grievances, he could only swallow them… However, Jin Zhu’s slap did dispel his fear of Lu Fan. Especially the last sentence, which reignited the blood in his veins.

Chen Tianzhi covered his face, not daring to look at Jin Zhu, but his tone was particularly firm, “I will protect you well! Princess, if the Armoured Earth Dragon continues to fight, it might die, but I can still fight! Cast your Buffs on me. I’ll go all out against Lu Fan! Even if he has not summoned his Black Dragon King, even if he does summon it, I’ll risk my life to bite a chunk of flesh off him, to avenge you for what happened before!”

Hearing this, Jin Zhu was stunned, not expecting the meek Chen Tianzhi to show such spirit.

Her heart was full of hatred for Lu Fan, and since Chen Tianzhi made such a request, Jin Zhu naturally had no objections.

In her eyes, Chen Tianzhi’s miserable defeat to Lu Fan meant that this Dragon Tamer was not much of a treasure. If he could really injure Lu Fan and vent her anger, what did it matter if Chen Tianzhi died here?

“Fine, you said it yourself! If you disappoint me again, don’t come to see me in the future!” After saying this, Jin Zhu waved her staff.

One black ball of energy after another continuously formed and was injected into Chen Tianzhi’s body.

After the black energy entered his body, Chen Tianzhi’s face immediately changed. He howled in pain and fell to his knees.

This scene made everyone’s brows furrow.

Jin Zhu’s Skills were really too sinister. When applied to the Armoured Earth Dragon earlier, people could still accept it, but now, it was being applied to a Human…

Sure enough, as Jin Zhu’s Skills were applied to Chen Tianzhi, his body began to swell, becoming particularly large. At the same time, his skin turned purplish-blue in colour, with many black blood vessels bulging out.

On his back, several lumps of flesh rose up, and these lumps kept growing larger, eventually turning into four additional arms!

*Roar!* Chen Tianzhi let out a roar as if venting, then stood up from the ground.

At this point, he had transformed into a Humanoid Monster with six arms, standing over two metres tall.

Needless to say, his Four Attributes had skyrocketed, but as a price, he would be in extreme pain at all times.

Lu Fan had seen Jin Zhu use this kind of Skill on Cui Hongtai before. Somce Cui Hongtai eventually turned into a Humanoid Monster as well, different in form from Chen Tianzhi, Lu Fan was already accustomed to such sights.

“Lu Fan, you shouldn’t have offended the Princess!” Chen Tianzhi still maintained his rationality, his voice now as hoarse and rough as Cui Hongtai’s had been, like a Demon.

At the same time, he took out several weapons from his Inventory, including a heavy sword, Dragon Spear, shield, and so on.

Lu Fan had already stopped walking and was looking at Chen Tianzhi.

After Chen Tianzhi had taken out all his weapons, Lu Fan sneered in disdain. “Chen Tianzhi, you truly are a disgrace to Dragon Country. They say bootlickers never come to a good end. If you really become an Extremistis Country citizen in the future, I suppose it would be a case of birds of a feather flocking together.”

“What do you know!?” Chen Tianzhi seemed to have been touched on his Reverse Scale, “Without the Princess, I would be a nobody all my life. She made me into somebody important. To become somebody important, to repay the Princess’s kindness, I’m willing to do anything!”

With these words, Chen Tianzhi’s entire body turned into a blur, instantly pouncing onto Lu Fan, all weapons raised.
