Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

44: The shell company intends to obtain the European airworthiness certificate for HuaxiaWhile Zhang Yuanhang was explaining his Nuclear Reactor Device to these experts, Matthew, the chairman of Shell Corporation, had already arrived in Rong City with his private jet and most of Shell Corporation’s senior executives.

In Rong City, Elder Wang personally came and sent his assistant to welcome Matthew and others.

“Leader Jia, why did you personally send someone to welcome the people from Shell Corporation?”

Leader Jia looked at Elder Wang in confusion. If the other party were some political figure, he could understand sending someone to pick him up.

But the other party was just the chairman of an aircraft manufacturer. Why was Elder Wang personally paying attention to this matter?

“Xiao Jia, you shouldn’t just look at things superficially; you need to look deeper!”

“Now that our domestically produced large passenger aircraft has begun its maiden flight, if it wants to fly to Europe later, it will need Europe’s airworthiness certificate. This Matthew will be our stepping stone to obtaining the airworthiness certificate!”

“By the way, have Academician Li Bing and his team brought the data collected from the maiden flight?”

Elder Wang asked Leader Jia.

Matthew’s purpose this time was for Yuanhang-2. To make Matthew work for China, they had to show him something substantial.

“Leader, Academician Li Bing and his team have already sent someone to deliver the data.”

Leader Jia nodded. He hadn’t expected the leaders to think so far ahead. The domestically produced large passenger aircraft hadn’t even begun mass production, and they were already considering flying to Europe later.

Leaders are truly leaders; their foresight is impressive!

“Alright, we’ll wait here for Matthew and his team to arrive!”

Elder Wang sat in his seat, drinking tea, and Leader Jia nodded.

At the same time, Matthew’s plane had landed at Rong City International Airport. Guan Shan, Elder Wang’s assistant, saw the cabin door open and led a group of welcoming personnel to where the plane stopped.

Matthew and Shell Corporation’s senior executives disembarked from the plane.

“Hello, Mr. Matthew, welcome to China.”

“I am Guan Shan, Elder Wang’s assistant.”

Guan Shan extended his hand with a smile and said.

“Hello, hello.”

A hint of displeasure flashed in Matthew’s eyes. When he was in Europe, when he went to other countries, although the people who came to greet him were not high-ranking officials, they were all people of status.

But after coming to China, the person who came to greet him was just a small assistant.

However, this hint of displeasure was quickly hidden in Matthew’s eyes.

The observant Guan Shan naturally noticed this, but he didn’t care. Now it was Shell Corporation that was actively seeking out China.

If they didn’t show some assertiveness, how could they gain the upper hand in future negotiations?

“Everyone, please get in the car. Elder Wang is waiting for Everyone.”

“Elder Wang is not in good health, so please don’t make him wait too long.”

Guan Shan said with a smile.

The faces of the senior executives behind Matthew and Matthew himself all turned red with anger. If it were in other countries, they would have certainly shown their displeasure on the spot, but thinking about their purpose for coming this time—the latest engine developed by China—they all endured it.

“Okay.”

Matthew calmed himself down and led his people onto the bus Guan Shan had prepared for them.

“Assistant Guan Shan, look at the expressions on these foreigners’ faces, I’m dying of laughter.”

“These foreigners used to be so arrogant when they came to China, but now that they’ve become like this, I’m still a bit unaccustomed to it!”

A Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff member next to Guan Shan looked at the foreigners who had just swallowed their anger, feeling incredibly surprised.

“Hahaha!”

“You’ll get used to it later.”

Guan Shan patted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff member. As China’s scientific and technological level and overall national strength grew stronger, those foreigners who once looked down on China would all change their attitudes.

Inside the bus.

“These hateful Chinese actually arranged a bus to pick us up!”

“They treated us like this; we must raise the price when selling planes to the Chinese later!”

“That’s right, sell them planes at a high price.”

…After the bus door closed, the Shell Corporation executives inside couldn’t hold back and angrily spoke.

The bus driver, who had long transported foreigners, had some understanding of foreign languages. Hearing these foreigners, he sneered inwardly.

If China’s domestically produced large passenger aircraft had not successfully completed its maiden flight, perhaps China would have been extorted by Shell Corporation, but now that the domestically produced large passenger aircraft had successfully completed its maiden flight, how could they still sell it at a high price?

“All of you, shut up!”

Matthew was furious. Didn’t these idiots see that the driver was Chinese? They were talking so recklessly here.

If it leaked out, how much impact would it have on the company? Who would be responsible then?

Seeing Matthew lose his temper, Everyone shut their mouths and dared not discuss anything further.

“Chairman, what should we do now? It seems China won’t easily provide us with their new engine.”

A Shell Corporation executive sitting next to Matthew said worriedly.

“This time, we must show some sincerity.”

Matthew’s original plan was to exchange the flight control system and avionics system currently used by Shell Corporation for China to sell the new engine to Shell Corporation.

But now it seemed that if he only offered these things, this trip to China would likely be in vain.

“Do we still need to offer some advanced technology?”

“If so, how will we explain it to the European Countries?”

The executive said.

The European Countries would absolutely not watch Shell Corporation exchange technology for China’s advanced engine.

“Do you think if we help China resolve the airworthiness certificate issue in Europe, China will sell us the engine?”

Matthew thought for a moment and said. China had invested so much effort, they certainly wouldn’t just let their domestically produced large passenger aircraft fly only in China’s airspace.

They definitely hoped their domestically produced large passenger aircraft would go international.

“But Chairman, won’t this affect our business?”

The Shell Corporation executives behind him were displeased. The pressure from competing with the Eagle Country’s Boeing Company was already great enough. If China’s large passenger aircraft entered the market, it would be unacceptable to them.

“No,” Matthew shook his head, “the European Countries will not purchase China’s large passenger aircraft, and later, the production of China’s large passenger aircraft will only meet their domestic demand, posing no threat to us.”

It should be known that the European Countries all have shares in Shell Corporation. They wouldn’t neglect their own business to support a competitor’s business; the European Countries aren’t crazy.

Moreover, European Countries’ airline pilots have always flown Shell Corporation’s aircraft. If they bought China’s, they would have to retrain pilots.

It’s too uneconomical!

“That’s true!”

Everyone nodded.

“This is a win-win, and I believe the Chinese Government will definitely agree.”

Matthew said.

China’s domestically produced large passenger aircraft obtaining the European airworthiness certificate means their domestically produced large passenger aircraft can fly directly to Europe. Shell Corporation gaining a powerful engine will give them a significant advantage over the Boeing Company.

At that time, they will definitely be able to snatch enough large orders from the Boeing Company.

Perfect!
