Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

31: The Navy Commander and the Air Force Commander all rushed to the mountain city”Bang!”

The shipyard director, who had just finished a phone call, was startled by the sudden kick to the door, causing his phone to fly out of his hand.

”Commander, what’s wrong with you all?”

”Who was it that angered you so much? I’ll go flay them alive right now!”

The shipyard director said loudly. He trembled all over, seeing Naval Commander and the others looking at him with eyes that seemed ready to devour him.

”Is that so? Then I should thank you!”

”The one who angered me is you, you bastard! Who gave you the guts to halt the construction of the aircraft carrier?!”

Naval Commander grabbed the shipyard director’s collar tightly with both hands, cursing him loudly. His spit nearly drowned the shipyard director.

”Commander, calm down! The doctor said you have high blood pressure!”

The surrounding Navy officers immediately tried to comfort Naval Commander, seeing his flushed face.

”Right, right, right, Commander, calm down.”

The shipyard director hurriedly said, ”The Top Leader ordered me to stop building the aircraft carrier!”

As he spoke, the shipyard director pointed to the ceiling, indicating that he was also following orders from above!

”What?”

”Give me my phone.”

Naval Commander immediately released the shipyard director and turned to look at the person behind him. A Navy officer quickly handed Naval Commander his phone.

Naval Commander directly called China’s Top Leader.

As soon as China’s Top Leader on the other end answered the phone, Naval Commander immediately yelled into the phone, ”Chief, why did you order the suspension of the aircraft carrier’s construction? Don’t you know that our Navy has been looking forward to this aircraft carrier so much that our eyes are about to pop out?”

China’s Top Leader on the other end held the phone far away. Seeing that Naval Commander had stopped shouting, he softly said, ”Does your Navy want a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier?”

”Chief, isn’t that obvious?” Naval Commander rolled his eyes at China’s Top Leader’s words, then paused, ”Chief, have our scientists developed a Nuclear Reactor Device suitable for a ship?”

”Exactly!”

China’s Top Leader nodded.

”Gulp!”

Naval Commander was stunned. A Nuclear Reactor Device suitable for an aircraft carrier had been developed; China’s aircraft carriers would enter the nuclear-powered era.

”Chief, which Academician developed it?”

Naval Commander asked eagerly after he came back to his senses.

”It wasn’t developed by an Academician.”

China’s Top Leader shook his head.

Hearing China’s Top Leader’s words, Naval Commander’s face was filled with confusion. If Academicians couldn’t solve the problem, could anyone else?

”It was Zhang Yuanhang, Comrade Xiao Zhang, who developed it.”

China’s Top Leader said.

”Is it that Zhang Yuanhang who created the mecha?”

Naval Commander asked uncertainly. Zhang Yuanhang’s identity was no secret among China’s high-ranking officials. Among China’s three Commanders of the Navy, Army, and Air Force, both the Army Commander and Naval Commander were very interested in Zhang Yuanhang.

But Naval Commander wasn’t particularly interested in him, because in Naval Commander’s view, the mecha Zhang Yuanhang created was of no help to the Navy.

Unexpectedly, he heard this news today: the Nuclear Reactor Device Zhang Yuanhang created could actually be applied to an aircraft carrier.

”Quick, arrange a fighter jet! I need to go to Shancheng to find Zhang Yuanhang.”

Naval Commander immediately shouted at everyone, throwing his phone aside.

China’s Top Leader on the other end of the phone looked at his phone helplessly, then hung up.

The Navy reacted very quickly, immediately arranging for Naval Commander to take a fighter jet from an aircraft carrier that was docked at the port for maintenance.

Naval Commander was quickly sent to Shancheng. At this time, Air Force Commander and Li Xiangyang also got off a plane.

The two sides happened to meet.

”Oh, isn’t this Naval Commander?”

”Why did he come to Shancheng?”

Air Force Commander looked at Naval Commander in surprise. This guy actually came to Shancheng instead of watching his aircraft carrier.

”Commander, do you think Naval Commander might have come for Comrade Xiao Zhang?”

Li Xiangyang looked at Naval Commander warily. He felt that the only thing in Shancheng that could attract Naval Commander personally was Zhang Yuanhang.

Air Force Commander thought about it and realized it made sense.

”Of course, I have something important to do! My car is here, I’ll be going first.”

Naval Commander naturally also understood why Air Force Commander and Li Xiangyang were there. He directly hailed a small car at the nearby airport.

”To the Shancheng military base, quickly!”

As soon as he got in the car, Naval Commander immediately urged the driver, whose face was filled with confusion. Seeing Naval Commander’s military rank, the driver could only obey.

He drove towards the Shancheng military base.

”Not good, we need to follow quickly too.”

Air Force Commander and Li Xiangyang also hailed a small car from the airport.

”Commander, where are they?”

At this moment, two soldiers got out of the two military vehicles that were supposed to pick up Naval Commander and Air Force Commander. They looked at each other, then scratched the back of their heads in confusion.

Where are they???

At the same time.

Lin Yun had already completed the base’s security measures. Barbed wire was everywhere, and now the entire base had a guard every ten steps.

”What is China doing?”

Foreign agents lurking nearby looked at the heavily guarded military base with bewildered expressions.

They were utterly confused. What on earth happened in China? How did this military base become like this?

Did aliens attack?

To find out what was happening at the military base, these agents from different countries pulled out their respective spy drones.

The insect-sized drones flew little by little towards the military base.

”Thwack!”

”Thwack, thwack!!”

...Just as the drone was about to fly in, a fly swatter appeared in front of the lens, and then the entire screen immediately turned to static.

”Over there, and over there, there are people. Go and capture them.”

At this moment, the soldiers also discovered the agents lurking around and quickly ran over.

”Hands up! Anyone who dares to move, we will shoot!”

The soldiers shouted at the lurking spies.

”We surrender, we surrender.”

”Please don’t shoot!”

”We are very, very good people, please don’t shoot!”

...Seeing the soldiers’ fierce eyes and the dark muzzles of their guns, the spies immediately abandoned any thought of escaping. The spies could tell from these soldiers’ eyes that they would really shoot!

At this moment, the spies were utterly bewildered. They had been working as spies in China for several years, and this was the first time they had been treated this way. In the past, as long as they didn’t try to probe important places, China always turned a blind eye to them.

Why were they being directly arrested this time? It seemed that there was a huge secret inside this military base!
