Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

43: Academician Song and Zhang Hai transformed into elementary school studentsSpeaking of the Air Force, Li Xiangyang and Air Force Commander Yang Aiguo were also watching the maiden flight of the domestically produced large passenger aircraft.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang’s Yuanhang-2 Engine is truly a gift from the heavens!”

“This is too excellent!”

Yang Aiguo and Li Xiangyang drooled as they watched the live broadcast.

“How is our team doing with the improvements to Yuanhang-2?”

“When can we produce a prototype?”

After watching the maiden flight of the domestically produced large passenger aircraft in Rong City, Yang Aiguo could not wait another day; he wished he could immediately equip the h-20 with the military version of the Yuanhang-2 Engine.

“Our engineers are working day and night, but it will still take at least another month to produce the first prototype,” Li Xiangyang said.

Li Xiangyang had visited the factory once before, and all of the Air Force’s engine experts and engineers were completely captivated by Zhang Yuanhang’s Yuanhang-2.

At that time, the experts and engineers told Li Xiangyang that they needed some time to study it.

“Alright, Old Li, you need to keep a close eye on this matter.”

“Once the modified Yuanhang-2 is produced, notify me immediately!”

After watching the maiden flight of the domestically produced large passenger aircraft in Rong City, Yang Aiguo now wished he could personally build the Yuanhang-2 Engine himself.

Then, he would have the h-20 make its maiden flight.

“Mhm, mhm.”

Li Xiangyang nodded.

At this moment,

Zhang Hai and Academician Song, along with a group of bigwigs from the Nuclear Energy Research Base, arrived at the factory.

“Academician Song, Academician Zhang Hai, this is the factory where Comrade Zhang Yuanhang is manufacturing the Nuclear Reactor Device.”

The Navy personnel led Zhang Hai and others to the shipyard’s factory.

“This... this environment can produce a Nuclear Reactor Device? What a joke!”

Zhang Hai looked at the inconspicuous factory in front of him and completely disbelieved that Zhang Yuanhang could produce a Nuclear Reactor Device in such a factory.

“No way, can this kind of place produce a Nuclear Reactor Device to power an aircraft carrier?”

“I’m telling you, this Zhang Yuanhang is completely messing around!!!”

“Exactly, if something goes wrong with this nuclear energy, then this shipyard and everything within a hundred miles will be contaminated with nuclear radiation. Who can take responsibility for that!!!”

Some personnel from the Nuclear Energy Research Base who came with Zhang Hai and Academician Song and other bigwigs developed deep suspicions about Zhang Yuanhang, as they always made extremely thorough preparations before starting to manufacture these Nuclear Reactor Devices.

The location for manufacturing Nuclear Reactor Devices was also meticulously chosen, unlike Zhang Yuanhang, who simply started in this unremarkable factory.

“Comrade, did you bring us to the wrong place?”

“Producing a Nuclear Reactor Device here is completely a joke!”

Academician Song pointed at the factory, looking at the Navy personnel who brought them to Zhang Yuanhang with a puzzled expression.

“Everyone, this is the place. Comrade Zhang Yuanhang and our Naval Commander are already inside the factory,” the Navy personnel said.

“Let’s go!”

Hearing the Navy personnel say this, Zhang Hai and the others said nothing more, and the group walked towards the factory.

Inside the factory,

Zhang Yuanhang, along with the nuclear energy experts and some technical personnel brought by Naval Commander Du Youguo, was busy in the factory.

Du Youguo personally stood in the factory to provide protection for Zhang Yuanhang and others.

“Commander, the nuclear energy experts from the Capital have arrived outside the factory.”

At this moment, a Navy soldier jogged to Du Youguo’s side, careful not to speak too loudly and disturb Zhang Yuanhang and the others, and whispered into Du Youguo’s ear.

“The nuclear energy experts arrived so quickly? Let’s go, let’s go.”

Hearing that support from the Capital had arrived, Du Youguo was very happy; with more hands, Zhang Yuanhang would be able to produce the Nuclear Reactor Device even faster.

Du Youguo quickly went outside the factory, where Zhang Hai and Academician Song and others also arrived at the factory gate.

“Commander Du, are you really manufacturing the Nuclear Reactor Device in this factory?” Zhang Hai asked, looking at the incredibly ordinary factory in front of him.

“That’s right, this place is close to the aircraft carrier, so it will be convenient to install the Nuclear Reactor Device on the aircraft carrier later,” Du Youguo said with a smile, nodding.

“But in such a factory, if there’s a nuclear leak, who will be able to bear the responsibility?” Zhang Hai said worriedly.

“You don’t have to worry about that. Comrade Xiao Zhang won’t make such a mistake, and I’ve also made preparations; the chemical defense troops are stationed outside and can arrive within one minute if anything unexpected happens.”

“Moreover, when Comrade Xiao Zhang manufactured the first Nuclear Reactor Device, it was in a small factory in an industrial zone,” Du Youguo said.

Zhang Hai and the others’ jaws nearly dropped to the floor; originally, they thought these conditions were already tough enough, but they never expected that when Zhang Yuanhang first manufactured the Nuclear Reactor Device, it was in a place even worse than the current factory.

“Everyone, please follow me. Comrade Xiao Zhang is busy right now.”

Du Youguo stepped aside, motioning for Everyone to follow him in.

“Alright!”

Zhang Hai and Academician Song and the others nodded, then followed Du Youguo into the factory. As soon as they entered, Everyone saw Zhang Yuanhang holding a design drawing, explaining some issues the Navy’s nuclear energy experts hadn’t understood.

“Academician Zhang, Academician Song, let’s wait a moment; Comrade Xiao Zhang is currently explaining some issues to them.”

Du Youguo looked apologetically at Everyone. Zhang Hai and Academician Song and the others nodded, playfully standing behind the crowd and listening to Zhang Yuanhang explain the issues.

As they listened, Zhang Hai and Academician Song and the others’ expressions gradually became serious, because they discovered that some of the issues were “difficult and complicated problems” that they had previously spent a great deal of effort on but had yet to overcome.

“Quick, get me a notebook; I need to write these things down.”

Academician Song turned his head and called to the person behind him for a pen and paper.

Zhang Hai also turned to his student, “Quick, give me paper and a pen, hurry!”

Seeing the two bigwigs in such a hurry, Everyone fumbled through their pockets, but unfortunately, no one had a pen and paper. Just then, Naval Commander Du Youguo appeared before them, holding some paper and pens.

“Thank you, Commander Du!”

Academician Song and Zhang Hai gratefully glanced at Du Youguo, then took the pens and paper and completely immersed themselves in listening to Zhang Yuanhang’s explanation.
