Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

8: Damn! A 200-ton mecha can fly 500 kilometers per hour.“So, you mean this mech is quite intelligent?”

Academician Li Bing frowned as he looked at Colonel Lin Yun.

“That’s right. Based on Comrade Xiao Zhang’s description, I feel that operating this mech might be even simpler than driving a car.”

“I just don’t know if the operating system Comrade Xiao Zhang developed can be applied to our fighter jets.”

A hint of anticipation appeared in Colonel Lin Yun’s eyes. If it could be applied to fighter jets, the combat capabilities of Huaxia’s fighter jets would achieve a qualitative leap.

“It’s hard to imagine that Comrade Xiao Zhang, while developing and manufacturing such a mech, could also manage its automation.”

“Colonel Lin Yun, when you’re piloting it later, please also test the mech’s level of automation!”

Academician Wu said slowly.

For some reason, a gut feeling told Academician Wu that the automation level of this mech would shock the entire world.

At this moment, after refueling the mech’s engines, Zhang Yuanhang, holding a tablet, gave the mech’s main computer maximum control.

“With the help of a computer, even a pig could safely pilot this mech.”

Zhang Yuanhang said, knowing that the mech’s intelligent system was provided by Zhang Yuanhang’s system. Zhang Yuanhang had tested it once before, and it completely surpassed the AI of any country on The Entire Blue Star.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, is it ready now?”

Colonel Lin Yun, seeing Zhang Yuanhang finish his work, jogged over to Zhang Yuanhang’s side, looking excitedly at the mech.

He had flown planes for so many years, but this was his first time piloting a mech.

“If only I could also pilot this mech.”

“Yeah, I wonder if the country will procure this mech for the military. Then maybe we’d get a chance to pilot it.”

“This thing, I’m afraid it’s not for us!”

...The surrounding soldiers looked enviously at Colonel Lin Yun. How lucky he was to be able to pilot this mech!

“Alright, alright, Colonel Lin Yun, you can go!”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded, then jogged away from there, heading to a safe spot. Zhang Yuanhang didn’t want to be blown away by the wake caused when the mech took off later.

“Okay, okay.”

Seeing that he could go up, Colonel Lin Yun quickly made his way to the mech’s cockpit. Following the steps Zhang Yuanhang taught him, Colonel Lin Yun opened the cockpit.

“Wow!”

Looking at the cockpit full of futuristic technology, Colonel Lin Yun felt his blood boil.

Then he carefully climbed inside.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, will it be alright for Colonel Lin Yun to pilot it? Nothing major will happen, right?”

Academician Li Bing and others walked over, looking worriedly at the mech.

“Please rest assured, Academicians. If any problems arise, I can immediately activate the mech’s automatic piloting. Moreover, the mech is equipped with escape devices.”

“Colonel Lin Yun’s safety is guaranteed; there will be no accidents.”

Zhang Yuanhang mistakenly thought they were worried about Colonel Lin Yun’s safety, so he quickly spoke to reassure them.

“No, no!”

Academician Li Bing and the others quickly waved their hands.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, if anything unexpected happens later, you must first ensure the safety of the mech!”

“That’s right, Colonel Lin Yun can have problems, but the mech cannot suffer even the slightest damage!”

...Everyone said in a hurry.

Compared to the mech, a hundred Colonel Lin Yuns couldn’t be as important as half a mech. This mech was the first on The Entire Blue Star.

Not to mention its scientific research value, its historical value was also extremely important!!!

Zhang Yuanhang’s mouth twitched. It turned out he had overthought it.

“Don’t worry, Everyone, the mech will be fine.”

Zhang Yuanhang assured Everyone again.

Just as Everyone was about to say something else, Colonel Lin Yun had already started the four engines.

The four nozzles slowly emerged. Academician Li Bing and the others watched the mech intently.

“Boom boom boom!”

As the engines began to ignite, a huge roar echoed through the park. Academician Li Bing, hearing the powerful sound of the engines, was incredibly excited.

“It’s flying.”

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, how heavy is this mech again?”

Academician Zhao then noticed the two large trucks crushed flat by the mech, so he turned and asked slowly.

“This mech weighs two hundred tons in total!”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

“What!”

“Only two hundred tons? I thought it was five hundred tons!”

Academician Li Bing turned his head in surprise to look at Zhang Yuanhang. He hadn’t expected this mech to be so light!!!

“I used some new materials I developed. While meeting the strength requirements, they can also be lightweight.”

“If the mech is too heavy, it affects its flexibility!”

Zhang Yuanhang explained.

Academician Wu, who specializes in materials research, nearly dropped his jaw. He hadn’t misheard, had he? This young man had also researched a new type of material.

Is this kid even human???

Because Colonel Lin Yun was piloting the mech for the first time, he didn’t dare to go too fast, constantly limiting the mech’s ascent speed.

This also gave the curious public, who were blocked outside the park, a chance to clearly see the mech.

“I, I, I, oh my god! There really is a mech!”

“So everything in Yu Ge’s live stream was true! I never thought our Huaxia now has mechs.”

“It’s so shocking! Quick, wife, take a photo of me with the mech.”

...At this moment, the eyes of the public outside the park were almost popping out.

Many of them had come after watching Yu Ge’s live stream, intending to prove Yu Ge wrong. Unexpectedly, upon arriving, they saw the military, and a short while later, they saw the mech flying again.

At the same time, in the distance from the mech, a helicopter was rapidly approaching.

On board the helicopter was a Colonel from the Air Force, Zhao Sheng.

He had rushed here in such a hurry mainly because the Air Force leadership had noticed Zhang Yuanhang’s mech. When they saw that the mech could fly,

all the Air Force leaders wondered if the mech’s engine could be used on the h-20, which was still secretly under development.

So, Zhao Sheng was dispatched.

“Chief, look, the mech is flying again.”

At this moment, the helicopter pilot pointed out the window and said. Zhao Sheng immediately leaned out and looked at the flying mech.

“To make this behemoth fly, this engine is extraordinary!”

Zhao Sheng said. Zhang Yuanhang’s humanoid mech had no aerodynamics whatsoever; its ability to fly was purely due to brute force.

At this moment.

Colonel Lin Yun had more or less adapted and directly increased the engine’s power.

“Boom!!!”

Colonel Lin Yun piloted the mech, flying rapidly in the sky. In the blink of an eye, its speed surpassed that of the fighter jets on aerial patrol.

“Oh my god, this mech’s speed is actually 500 kilometers per hour!”

The fighter jet pilot exclaimed.

“What is this Colonel Lin Yun doing!”

“How can he pilot it so violently? He looks mature and steady, but why is he so impulsive in his actions!”

The three Academicians present were stomping their feet in anxiety, watching the mech suddenly accelerate, and so quickly.

They wished they could pull Colonel Lin Yun, who was piloting the mech, out of the cockpit right now and give him a good beating.

“The mech’s speed has already reached 500 kilometers per hour.”

At this moment, an officer beside them repeated the fighter pilot’s words to Everyone.

Academician Wu and the other two were also extremely shocked. The mech did not conform to aerodynamics at all, yet under such circumstances, its speed could easily reach 500 kilometers per hour. It was simply too formidable.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, this mech can’t still accelerate, can it?”

“Can you remotely limit the mech’s speed?”

Academician Wu turned to look at the tablet in Zhang Yuanhang’s hand. Everyone nodded. If something went wrong at this speed, the mech would be finished. It had to be speed-limited.

“The mech’s maximum speed is only 500 kilometers per hour. It is already at its maximum speed now.”

Zhang Yuanhang said.
