Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

9: The best defense is offense!“Phew!”

Hearing that the current speed was the maximum speed of the mecha, Everyone collectively breathed a sigh of relief.

“I can remotely control the mecha’s speed, but there’s no need for that at all!”

“You see, the mecha hasn’t had any problems so far.”

Zhang Yuanhang showed his tablet to Everyone; all the values on the tablet were normal.

“Alright then, but when Colonel Lin Yun comes down, I’ll definitely have to give him a good talking to!”

“Exactly, exactly, he’s too reckless.”

Academician Wu and Academician Zhao said angrily.

They now seriously suspected that Lin Yun had forgotten their instruction to test the mecha’s automation level.

“So exhilarating!”

Lin Yun shouted loudly. Although he could reach this speed when flying helicopters before, helicopters weren’t as interesting as this.

Thinking of himself piloting a fifty-meter-tall behemoth flying through the air, Lin Yun felt incredibly energized.

“I almost forgot to test the mecha’s automation level.”

At this moment, Lin Yun finally remembered what the Academicians had told him while he was on the ground.

Lin Yun slowly reduced the mecha’s speed. After confirming that the speed had dropped to fifty kilometers per hour, Lin Yun immediately released the control stick.

As Lin Yun released the control stick, the mecha immediately began to descend. While Lin Yun was monitoring the various values on the mecha, his hands were also ready to take over manually if the mecha’s main computer didn’t respond.

“The mecha is falling!”

“Oh no, the mecha is falling down.”

“Something’s wrong, something’s wrong.”

...The professors nearby saw the mecha suddenly decelerate and then fall straight down, and their faces all became tense.

Academician Li Bing and the other two watched nervously; they knew Lin Yun had started the test.

Zhang Yuanhang was wondering why the mecha would suddenly drop. He looked down at the tablet in his hand, and the data showed that Lin Yun had let go of the control stick, causing the mecha to fall.

“Is he trying to test the mecha’s automation level?”

Zhang Yuanhang smiled, put away the tablet, and looked at the mecha in the air.

Lin Yun saw that the mecha hadn’t responded and was about to take over when the mecha’s main computer, seeing that Lin Yun hadn’t made any adjustments, began to take control of the mecha.

“Boom!”

The four engines behind him roared, and the mecha, which had been in a falling posture, instantly adjusted its stance and stabilized in the air.

“Ding! The system has detected that the pilot has relinquished control. The computer is now controlling the mecha!”

An electronic voice came from the mecha’s cockpit.

“The reaction is decent, just so-so.”

Lin Yun’s words were transmitted to Zhang Yuanhang’s tablet via the mecha. Looking at what Lin Yun said, Zhang Yuanhang felt the need to demonstrate the mecha’s power to Lin Yun.

So, while Everyone wasn’t paying attention, he clicked on the tablet.

At this moment, the cockpit’s interior lights suddenly changed from white to red.

“What’s going on?”

“Oh my god, it’s not having problems, is it?”

Lin Yun was bewildered. If it weren’t for the display screen still showing the outside view normally, Lin Yun would have been scared to death.

However, as soon as Lin Yun finished speaking, the mecha began to move.

“Boom!”

The mecha instantly accelerated to its maximum speed, going from zero to five hundred in less than ten seconds.

“I… I… holy crap!”

Lin Yun’s eyes were bloodshot at this moment, and his entire body was pressed firmly against the seat.

Under the control of the main computer, the mecha was performing various extreme maneuvers in the air.

“Wow, is Commander Lin Yun that amazing?!”

“I think it might be related to the mecha. Maybe the gravity load inside the mecha isn’t that great.”

“Yes, yes, there might be black technology inside!”

“True, I thought Commander Lin Yun’s body was so good that he could withstand it.”

...The pilots in the air stared intently at the mecha; they couldn’t perform these extreme maneuvers that the mecha was doing.

Just when Everyone thought Lin Yun was sitting comfortably inside the mecha, Lin Yun was almost fainting.

“Xiao Zhang, quickly inform Lin Yun to stop. It’s too dangerous, too dangerous.”

“Yes, indeed. We absolutely cannot let this Lin Yun touch a mecha again.”

“I’m going to report to Lin Yun’s superiors. This Lin Yun is simply too reckless.”

...Academician Li Bing and the other two watched with trepidation as the mecha flew around in the sky. Every time it performed an extreme maneuver, they felt their hearts stop beating for a moment.

They couldn’t stand it anymore, so they rushed to Zhang Yuanhang’s side, demanding that Zhang Yuanhang immediately remotely control the mecha.

“Everyone, rest assured, Colonel Lin Yun is no longer in control.”

“I had the mecha’s system control itself a long time ago.”

Zhang Yuanhang turned the tablet towards Academician Li Bing and the other two. They squinted and saw Lin Yun’s face flushed, his hands tightly gripping the seat.

“Xiao Zhang, are you saying that all these maneuvers from the very beginning were completed by the mecha itself?”

Academician Li Bing said, looking at the mecha in the sky. Even some excellent pilots couldn’t perform those maneuvers just now.

“Yes.”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded.

“Xiao Zhang, according to this situation, even if there is no pilot inside the mecha, can it still complete various tasks normally?”

Academician Zhao and Academician Wu asked in unison.

“That’s right, whether there’s a pilot or not doesn’t significantly affect the mecha.”

“It’s just safer with a pilot, because if the mecha’s main computer has a problem, it can still be piloted manually.”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

Academician Li Bing looked up at the mecha in the sky and slowly said, “This mecha will be formidable once it’s armed with weapons in the future!”

“There are also limitations. Against missiles and faster fighter jets, this mecha is just a large target.”

Academician Zhao slowly said.

Academician Wu also nodded in agreement. This could be seen from the current ’King of Land Warfare’ tanks; against missiles and aircraft, tanks are just moving targets.

Zhang Yuanhang looked at Academician Zhao and Academician Wu with a slight smile. His mecha was not a target. As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense.

One should know that the mecha has quite a few weapons, such as the Laser Cannon hidden under its shoulders.

However, Zhang Yuanhang did not intend to reveal it now. He wanted to let Everyone digest it first, lest they get too excited and one or two people collapse, which would not be good.

Academician Li Bing noticed at this moment that a hint of confidence had appeared in Zhang Yuanhang’s eyes after hearing Academician Zhao and Academician Wu’s words.

Could this child’s mecha have some other special features???

This child is the most precious gift from Heaven to our Huaxia!!!

At this moment, Zhang Yuanhang also noticed that Lin Yun in the mecha’s cockpit was nearing his limit, so he immediately ordered the mecha to stop and then descend.

Upon receiving Zhang Yuanhang’s command, the mecha slowly decelerated and gradually returned to its original takeoff position.

“Bang!”

When the mecha landed on the ground, Lin Yun immediately opened the cockpit and stumbled out.

“Ugh!”

As soon as he stepped on the ground, Lin Yun began to vomit.
