Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

12: Base personnel are dissatisfied with Zhangyuan Airlines’ landing”Why is it unsuitable? It’s very suitable.”

”Comrade Zhang Your ability is here; anyone with a brain will be convinced.”

Academician Li Bing looked at Zhang Yuanhang with a smile and said, if anyone were not convinced later, Academician Li Bing would make sure they knew what ’love’ from an Academician was, without Zhang Yuanhang having to lift a finger!

”Comrade Zhang, I’ll have to trouble you this time. The engine is my biggest worry!”

Academician Li Bing said slowly. Once the domestically produced large passenger aircraft uses an engine made by Huaxia itself, at least half of those critics will have nothing to say.

Nothing else, their cultural level only extends to knowing about engines.

”Mhm, Academician Li Bing, don’t worry. I guarantee I’ll deliver an engine that’s even more advanced than Eagle-chan’s.”

Zhang Yuanhang said with a smile. According to the data, Eagle-chan’s most advanced engine currently only has a thrust of 45 tons.

When he brings out a weakened version of the Yuanhang-1 Engine, it will completely crush Eagle-chan’s most advanced engine.

”Good, good.”

”Comrade Zhang, on behalf of the motherland, I thank you here.”

Academician Li Bing’s face was full of smiles when he heard this.

The professors who flew with him really wanted to say something. In their understanding, developing an engine was as difficult as ascending to heaven, and even modifying an existing one was not a simple matter.

They thought Zhang Yuanhang might not be able to build it, but then they remembered the mecha still in the industrial park and dared not say anything for a moment.

After all, the man in front of them was capable of hand-crafting a mecha by himself; ordinary understanding couldn’t be applied to him.

At this moment.

Air Force Colonel Zhao Sheng stood on the ground, looking utterly bewildered.

”Comrade Zhang Yuanhang left?”

Zhao Sheng had just seen Zhang Yuanhang’s figure while in the sky. But after landing, the soldiers finishing up told him that Zhang Yuanhang had already left with Academician Li Bing.

”Damn it, just missed him!”

”Let’s go, we’re going to find Comrade Zhang Yuanhang.”

Zhao Sheng immediately turned around, boarded the plane he had just arrived in, and prepared to chase after Zhang Yuanhang.

As for the mecha nearby, Zhao Sheng merely glanced at it indifferently. Although the mecha was cool, he still preferred to complete his mission first.

Otherwise, the Air Force leaders would surely skin him alive.

At the same time.

Zhang Yuanhang and Academician Li Bing had already arrived at the research base. Many high-level officials from the research base were waiting at the helipad.

”Comrade Zhang, these are all the researchers responsible for various engine systems.”

”They heard about your arrival and voluntarily came to greet you.”

Academician Li Bing pointed to the researchers outside the window and said with a smile. When Academician Li Bing told them that he had invited a great master back, and that the domestically produced large passenger aircraft would later use engines made by Huaxia itself.

These people were overjoyed and spontaneously came to the helipad to welcome Zhang Yuanhang’s arrival.

”Teacher, who do you think Chief Designer Li invited this time?”

”I haven’t heard of any major breakthroughs in engines at any research base recently?”

At this moment, a professor named Qin Ming, waiting at the helipad, turned to his teacher, Academician Qian.

Academician Qian also looked puzzled. He had worked in the engine field for decades and knew almost everyone in Huaxia’s engine sector. He hadn’t heard of anyone having a major breakthrough???

Could it be a secret national project???

Thinking of this, Academician Qian was filled with excitement. Like Academician Li Bing, he also hoped that the domestically produced large passenger aircraft could use engines manufactured by Huaxia itself.

He had initially thought he wouldn’t live to see that day, but then Academician Li Bing’s call came, filling everyone with joy.

So, they all spontaneously came to the helipad to see which big shot had arrived.

The helicopter slowly landed on the helipad.

”Let’s go.”

Academician Li Bing, supported by a younger professor behind him, stepped off the helicopter.

”Okay, Academician Li Bing, I’m coming.”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded and quickly followed Academician Li Bing off the helicopter.

”Old Li, where is the big shot?”

Academician Qian quickly came to Academician Li Bing’s side, looking left and right behind Academician Li Bing, hoping to spot the person early.

But no matter how he looked, besides some professors he knew, there was only Zhang Yuanhang, a young man.

Academician Qian directly ignored Zhang Yuanhang. In Academician Qian’s opinion, Zhang Yuanhang was too young and simply couldn’t develop an engine.

”Old Li, could it be that someone among the people you brought developed a new engine?”

Academician Qian pointed incredulously at the professors around Academician Li Bing. Thinking that these people, who were not involved in engine research, had developed a new type of engine, Academician Qian didn’t know where to put his old face for a moment.

”No, no, no!”

”How could it be them? This is the one.”

Academician Li Bing smiled and turned to introduce Zhang Yuanhang to everyone.

”This is Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, and he will be our Deputy Chief Designer from now on.”

”Comrade Zhang will be fully responsible for the engine’s manufacturing. Old Qian, you all must cooperate well with Comrade Zhang then!”

Academician Li Bing said.

Academician Qian looked at Academician Li Bing in disbelief, then turned to look at Zhang Yuanhang, thinking: Is Old Li senile? Why did he bring back a young whippersnapper?

The people who came to greet them were all stunned for a moment.

The professors who returned with Academician Li Bing smiled as they watched their dazed colleagues.

Seeing their shocked expressions now reminded these professors of how they first saw the mecha; they were even more shocked than these people were now.

”Academician Li Bing, aren’t you mistaken? How can this wet-behind-the-ears kid be qualified for the position of Deputy Chief Designer?”

”And lead us in developing an engine? He probably hasn’t even figured out the principle of an engine yet, has he?”

Qin Ming jumped out at this moment. In his opinion, wasn’t his teacher, Academician Qian, much better than this young whippersnapper?

”That’s right, Academician Qian is surely better than this kid.”

”Academician Li Bing, did you point to the wrong person?”

”Yes, yes, this kid isn’t even as good as one of my fingers, is he?”

...It wasn’t that the people present looked down on Zhang Yuanhang. Those who could join the Domestic Large Aircraft Project were not all prodigies, but every one of them was a top-tier talent.

To have just anyone suddenly ride over their heads was hard for them to accept, especially someone so much younger than them. It made them feel like they had wasted all their years of study.

Academician Qian stood aside with his arms crossed. Like everyone else there, he was very dissatisfied. How could he, an Academician, work under a mere child?

”All of you, shut up!”

Academician Li Bing looked at these people angrily. He had finally managed to bring Zhang Yuanhang, this great treasure, to their research base, and these guys weren’t even helping him keep Zhang Yuanhang.

They were actually dragging his feet here.

If Academician Li Bing were ten years younger, he would have kicked every single one of them out.
