Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

3: This, this mecha is flying!“Whoosh!”

Under the gaze of numerous people on site, plus hundreds of thousands in the live stream, the massive mech slowly rose from the ground, then directly shot up into the sky.

“Clang!”

Everything in everyone’s hands on site dropped to the ground. They all looked up at the mech, which was flying like a rocket.

“Gulp!!!”

Wang Wei and the Firefighting team no longer saw the raging fire beside them.

They all stared in disbelief at the mech in the sky, with huge question marks over their heads.

‘Holy cow, it flew???’

‘Brothers, are we still in the 21st century? How come there’s suddenly a flying mech?’

‘Are we on Blue Star about to experience another technological explosion?’

...The barrage in the live stream disappeared for a full ten minutes, then an overwhelming flood of comments rushed in.

At this moment, an airplane was circling above Shancheng, waiting to land.

“Honey, we’ll be in Shancheng soon. Do you want to rest at the hotel first, or go eat hotpot?”

A couple by the window looked out, eagerly anticipating their trip to Shancheng.

“Wait… holy cow, that’s a mech.”

Before the girl could finish her sentence, her eyes widened as she looked out the window.

Because Zhang Yuanhang was driving the mech for the first time and wasn’t very skilled, he overshot directly.

“Oh my god, there’s a mech outside.”

“Is Shancheng that awesome?”

“Are we dead? How come I’m seeing a mech?”

...All the passengers on the plane were completely bewildered. How could it feel like a dream in broad daylight?

Zhang Yuanhang was also startled. He had almost crashed into an airplane just now, so he cautiously lowered his altitude, still shaken.

The airplane’s captain nearly peed his pants; he felt like he had almost seen his great-grandmother just now.

Also startled were the airport tower personnel, who had just detected what happened via radar: an unidentified flying object suddenly flew to the edge of the flight path.

“8809, what just happened?”

“What ran next to you? Was it a drone?”

At this moment, the tower’s inquiry came through to the airplane.

“No, no, it wasn’t a drone.”

“It was a really, really big mech!”

The captain replied, trembling.

After hearing the captain’s answer, the personnel in the tower fell silent. A mech? What was that? And really, really big?

“Please switch to autopilot, take a moment to compose yourselves before landing. The follow-up will be handled by the police.”

The tower personnel suspected the captain was too scared to be reliable, so they didn’t dare let him control the airplane for landing in his current state.

“Okay, okay!”

The captain nodded. He indeed needed to calm down; it had been too close a call.

At this point, Zhang Yuanhang was slowly piloting the mech back to the factory area’s airspace.

Seeing the fifty-meter-tall mech suspended in the air, people on the ground immediately pulled out their phones to take pictures.

“Holy cow, this mech is so imposing, and it can fly.”

More and more people were drawn to Zhang Yuanhang and the mech he was piloting.

“Let me help you guys out!”

Seeing the fire spreading rapidly, Zhang Yuanhang decided to lend a hand.

Carefully controlling the mech, he used the jet stream from the engines behind it to gradually blow out the raging fire. However, the mech’s jet stream was too powerful; while extinguishing the fire, it also directly caused the entire factory building to collapse.

“Ah, my goods!!!”

Wang Wei collapsed to the ground in despair. He had originally thought he might be able to salvage some goods after the fire was put out, but now that the factory building had collapsed, it was definitely all over.

“Don’t be sad, Mr. Wang. Although all your goods are gone and the factory has collapsed, at least the fire is out.”

A Firefighting team member, seeing Wang Wei crying so sadly, came over to comfort him.

“Ah!!!”

But as the Firefighting team member’s words fell, Wang Wei cried even louder.

“If you don’t know how to comfort, then don’t comfort, kid!”

The Firefighting Captain angrily slapped his team member. The man was already in so much pain, and he was just rubbing salt in the wound. If it weren’t for the fact that the kid genuinely wanted to comfort him, the Firefighting Captain would have kicked him.

The Firefighting team member stood up, looking wronged. He had meant well; not only did he not get praised, but he was also slapped.

‘The mech is back, the mech is back again.’

‘Oh my god, can such a huge behemoth really float in the air?’

‘Are there any Shancheng friends? Go check it out there quickly.’

‘Don’t even say it, we’re already on our way. The road to the industrial zone is already jammed; so many people have come to see this mech.’

‘This mech is now number one on the trending topics.’

...At this moment, the term “Flying Mech Appears in Shancheng” had already appeared on the trending topics.

Because of the videos, it took less than ten minutes to shoot straight to number one on the trending topics.

This made countless stars, big and small, who longed to be on the trending list, jump with envy.

The authorities also noticed this situation at this time and immediately shut down Yu Ge’s live stream. At the same time, all mech-related videos online disappeared.

‘Hungry guy, the authorities noticed.’

‘Ah, damn it! I didn’t even have time to record the video, and it turned into a black screen!’

‘By the way, how’s Yu Ge doing?’

‘Who cares about him now? I just want to know what’s going on with this mech. Is it made by our country?’

‘Does anyone know the young man piloting the mech?’

...Even though the live stream was now a black screen, the number of viewers remained in the hundreds of thousands, and the comments were still densely packed.

Seeing that the fire had been successfully extinguished, Zhang Yuanhang piloted the mech, intending to land it on the main road within the industrial park.

He had no choice; the mech’s flight time had reached its limit, and the fuel supplying the four engines was about to run out. Originally, the mech’s hovering capability, at full output, could last up to three hours.

The reason it could hover for so long was entirely due to the mech’s fuel tank, which could hold twenty tons of fuel. Purchasing so much fuel would attract the attention of the authorities, so Zhang Yuanhang only bought less than half a ton of fuel.

“Sigh, in the future, I still need to upgrade the mech. Relying on fuel engines for flight power still limits the mech’s capabilities.”

“If only it could use nuclear power, like the mech’s core power.”

That’s right, the mech Zhang Yuanhang was piloting was powered by nuclear energy!!!

At the same time, two large trucks were parked at the landing spot Zhang Yuanhang had chosen.

“Forget it, I can’t worry about so much now. The mech is out of fuel, and there’s no way to change the landing spot.”

After confirming through the mech that there was no one in the two large trucks, Zhang Yuanhang confidently landed.

“The mech is about to land, quickly go disperse the public there.”

The Firefighting Captain immediately took his people to pull all the onlookers out of the danger zone. That’s right, they pulled them, because the onlookers were completely fixated on the mech and didn’t realize the danger approaching.

If the Firefighting officers hadn’t forcefully pulled them back, no one would have moved, after all, this scene was not something ordinary people could witness.

No, even those in high positions couldn’t see it, after all, the mech in front of them seemed to be the first in the world!!!

“Out of fuel, ten meters left!”

“With the mech’s performance, these ten meters won’t be a problem.”

As the engines shut down, the mech, which had been slowly descending, began to freefall. Zhang Yuanhang wasn’t flustered at all, simply bracing for impact.

“Bang!”

The mech landed on the ground in the blink of an eye, its legs slightly bent to cushion the impact. The two large trucks were instantly crushed into flat metal pancakes by the mech.

The road was also trampled and ruined at that moment, and dust rose everywhere.
