Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

22: The Yuanhang-2 engine is launched!“Comrade Zhang Yuanhang is finished here. Have you decided where you want to work?”

“Now the country’s treatment of soldiers is...”

“Oh my ears.”

Zhao Sheng said with a smile, but before he could finish, he suddenly felt a pain in his ear.

It turned out that Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian had discovered that Zhao Sheng actually intended to poach Zhang Yuanhang, even though Zhang Yuanhang was not yet part of their research base.

But after a month of getting along, Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing had long considered Zhang Yuanhang one of their own.

Zhang Yuanhang watched this scene with a smile, secretly marveling at how timely Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing had arrived.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have known how to refuse Zhao Sheng.

Zhang Yuanhang had already made plans for his future. He intended to establish a technology company. Zhang Yuanhang wanted to use the technology he obtained from the system to benefit the people of Huaxia.

As for why not all of humanity, Zhang Yuanhang just wanted to say that science has no borders, but scientists do.

“You little rascal!”

“You actually want to poach our talent. You don’t know your place!”

Academician Li Bing glared at Zhao Sheng, his teeth itching.

“That’s right, you kid, get out of our research base right now!”

Academician Qian looked at Zhao Sheng with fire in his eyes. Zhang Yuanhang was now a big shot in their hearts. How comfortable were the days of following a big shot.

No matter what problem, the big shot could answer it. Now Zhao Sheng wanted them to return to their previous miserable days, and Academician Qian wished he could swallow Zhao Sheng whole.

“Gentlemen, gentlemen, I’m also doing this for our motherland.”

“Now the h-20 is still waiting for Comrade Zhang Yuanhang to design an engine.”

Zhao Sheng, seeing that he was about to be dragged out, quickly said.

Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing exchanged a look and stopped.

“You can ask our Comrade Xiao Zhang for help, but aren’t you going to show some appreciation?”

Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing knew that the Air Force was rich and wanted to get some benefits for Zhang Yuanhang.

“Of course, we’ll show appreciation.”

“Just out of curiosity, Academician Li and Academician Qian, what benefits did you give Comrade Zhang Yuanhang for developing the engine for the domestically produced large passenger aircraft?”

Zhao Sheng said with a mischievous smile. He knew that they hadn’t given Zhang Yuanhang anything.

“Cough cough!”

Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian coughed awkwardly a few times. At that time, they were busy inviting Zhang Yuanhang to research and develop the engine and completely forgot to consider how much to compensate him.

“We’ll give Comrade Xiao Zhang 100 million yuan.”

Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing looked at each other, then said in unison.

100 million yuan was already the maximum authority for both Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian, otherwise, they would have to give Zhang Yuanhang more.

“Academician Li, Academician Qian, this is too much. I can’t accept it.”

Zhang Yuanhang, who was not far away, heard this and quickly refused. 100 million yuan was really too much, and Zhang Yuanhang couldn’t accept it, after all, the research and development of this engine was not entirely his own credit.

Academician Qian and Qin Ming and others all contributed greatly, otherwise, this engine would not have been released so quickly.

“No, child, you must take it.”

“This is what you deserve. If you don’t take it, how will the country face you?”

Academician Li Bing said with a serious face.

“That’s right, we don’t take what we shouldn’t, but why wouldn’t you take what you should?”

Academician Qian also spoke from the side. The officials had investigated Zhang Yuanhang’s background, and Zhang Yuanhang was not from a rich or noble family.

“That’s right, Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, you must take this money. You have made such a great contribution to the country; you deserve it.”

Zhao Sheng also spoke from the side. If anyone said Zhang Yuanhang didn’t deserve the money, Zhao Sheng would shoot him.

“Alright then.”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded, accepting it with a smile.

“Zhang...”

Before Zhao Sheng could even mention helping to design the engine for the h-20, Zhang Yuanhang was pulled away by Qin Ming, who suddenly ran over.

“Damn it!”

Zhao Sheng was speechless.

“Deputy Chief Designer Zhang, the test results are out.”

Qin Ming handed the newly bound data to Zhang Yuanhang. Zhang Yuanhang took the data from Qin Ming’s hand and quickly scanned it.

Seeing that the engine had a thrust of a full seventy tons, a smile instantly appeared on his face.

“Good, good, good, much stronger than the Eagle Nation’s engine!”

Zhang Yuanhang said with a laugh.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, how is it?”

Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian immediately crowded over, asking Zhang Yuanhang.

“This engine has a thrust of seventy tons, which is twenty-five tons stronger than the Eagle Nation’s most advanced engine!”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

“Excellent, excellent!”

“When the domestically produced large passenger aircraft is released in the future, I’d like to see what those who criticize us will say!”

Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing had a hint of tears in their eyes. After being questioned for so many years, they could finally stand tall and say that their aircraft uses their own engine, and it’s even better than what the Eagle Nation uses.

“Holy cow, seventy tons of thrust!”

Zhao Sheng looked at Zhang Yuanhang with his mouth wide open. Wasn’t this engine a bit overkill for civilian customers?

Zhang Yuanhang handed the data to Academician Li Bing. Zhao Sheng and Academician Qian immediately crowded over, examining each parameter one by one.

“Holy cow, holy cow!”

Zhao Sheng kept exclaiming “holy cow” as he looked at the parameters. The parameters in front of him were far superior to what the Great Bear was preparing to sell to Huaxia for the h-20’s engine.

“Shut up!”

Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian turned to glare at Zhao Sheng. He kept exclaiming “holy cow” while looking at the data.

“Okay, okay!”

Zhao Sheng covered his mouth and nodded hurriedly.

Then the three continued to look at the data. After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the three finished.

“I’m going to make a call.”

Zhao Sheng felt he needed to report the current situation to the Air Force leaders. This engine was so excellent, so excellent that Zhao Sheng wanted to directly use it for the h-20.

“Comrade Xiao Zhang, have you named this engine yet?”

Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian looked at Zhang Yuanhang, who shook his head, indicating he hadn’t.

“This engine evolved from the Yuanhang-1 Engine, so why not name it Yuanhang-2?”

Academician Li Bing and Academician Qian said in unison.

“That works!”

Zhang Yuanhang thought about it. Although such a name seemed high-profile, it felt good!

At this moment.

“Hello, Leader. Comrade Zhang Yuanhang has just finished all the tests for the engine he developed and manufactured for the domestically produced large passenger aircraft. This engine is truly excellent.”

“The engine’s thrust reached a full seventy tons, and its reliability and durability are completely on par with any engine we are currently using.”

“I even think this engine can be directly installed on our h-20.”

Zhao Sheng said excitedly.
