Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

7: I can die, but you, Zhang Yuanhang, cannot. You are the treasure of my China.”What, you like it!!!”

Academician Zhao stared wide-eyed at Zhang Yuanhang in disbelief; this kid actually said he just liked it.

Academician Li Bing smiled at Zhang Yuanhang, thinking to himself, ”This kid has character, I like him.”

”Alright, alright.”

”Everyone, what do you think of this Mech?”

Lin Yun, worried that Academician Zhao might get angry, immediately spoke up, reminding Everyone not to forget the purpose of his visit.

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, could you let us see this Mech take off with our own eyes?”

Academician Wu stepped forward and said with a smile.

Although he had seen the video before, Academician Wu still wanted to see the Mech fly in person.

”Yes, I can, but the fuel supplying the four engines has run out.”

”It needs to be refueled.”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded. Academician Wu and the others all looked at Lin Yun.

”Everyone, I’ll immediately arrange for someone to prepare the fuel.”

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, what kind of fuel does this Mech use?”

Lin Yun asked.

”Anything is fine. As long as it can burn, anything can be used as fuel for the Mech,” Zhang Yuanhang said.

”Does this engine have no requirements for fuel at all?”

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, we’re not in a hurry. Don’t damage the engine just to rush a demonstration for us.”

Academician Li Bing quickly stepped forward; he didn’t want to see the engine suffer any damage.

”That’s right, Comrade Xiao Zhang, we’re not in a hurry.”

”Yes, don’t damage the Mech because of us.”

Academician Wu and Academician Zhao also spoke up quickly. Right now, The Entire Blue Star only had this one treasure, and Everyone wished they could treat it as a precious item to protect.

”It’s fine, this engine isn’t picky,” Zhang Yuanhang said.

”Alright, I’ll have someone go to the nearest gas station to pull fuel back right away.”

Lin Yun immediately arranged for soldiers to go out and get fuel. At this moment, Lin Yun saw many ordinary people outside the park from a distance.

”What’s going on outside?”

”Why are there so many people?”

Lin Yun pointed outside, asking the officer beside him.

”Chief, the people outside the park are citizens from Shancheng who just came to watch the excitement. We are currently driving them away.”

The officer quickly said.

”Mhm, hurry up.”

After Lin Yun finished speaking, he turned and went back; he still had a big matter to attend to.

At the same time, Zhang Yuanhang also opened the Mech’s fuel filler, just waiting for the fuel to arrive.

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, teach me how to pilot this Mech.”

”I’ll pilot the Mech later.”

Lin Yun came to Zhang Yuanhang’s side. Currently, only Zhang Yuanhang knew how to pilot the Mech, but Lin Yun would never let Zhang Yuanhang pilot it. If anything unexpected happened, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Lin Yun would rather die himself than have Zhang Yuanhang suffer any harm.

”Ah, I’ll pilot the Mech later.”

”I have rich experience, nothing will happen.”

Zhang Yuanhang thought to himself that he was the only person on The Entire Blue Star who had piloted a Mech, and although he had only just piloted it for a short while, he was indeed the only one who had piloted a Mech!

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, you absolutely cannot go up there.”

”Let Lin Yun go; he’s tough and won’t get hurt even if something happens.”

Academician Li Bing, hearing that Zhang Yuanhang wanted to go up personally, was so scared that he immediately came over and grabbed Zhang Yuanhang’s hands.

”Yes, yes, Comrade Xiao Zhang, you just need to collect some data on the ground.”

”Let Lin Yun handle the piloting of the Mech.”

”He used to be in the Army Aviation Corps and has flown helicopters for decades, so he has very rich experience.”

Academician Wu also quickly said.

”Alright, alright, Colonel Lin Yun, I’ll give you a simple explanation of the operation methods.”

Zhang Yuanhang thought that the Mech would have computer-assisted piloting, and coupled with Lin Yun’s decades of flying experience, he seemed more suitable to fly. After all, he himself had almost collided with a passenger plane when he first flew.

While Zhang Yuanhang was explaining to Lin Yun how to pilot the Mech, the military had already designated a hundred-kilometer radius around the park as a no-fly zone.

The 8809, which had just been startled by Zhang Yuanhang’s piloting of the Mech, was returning to base with a frustrated look on its face.

Because Shancheng’s airport was within the no-fly zone designated by the military, all air traffic in Shancheng had stopped, and they could only return to base.

”Damn it! We were clearly about to land just now.”

”Now, because of this, we have to return to base. Captain, why do you think the military suddenly designated a no-fly zone?”

The co-pilot couldn’t understand what the military’s no-fly zone in Shancheng meant.

”I think this matter is inseparable from the Mech that almost collided with us just now,” the captain slowly said.

”The official response speed is really fast!”

”When I get back, I’m going to pay close attention to news about the Mech. I never thought the first Mech would be born in our Huaxia.”

At this moment, all the resentment on the co-pilot’s face dissipated.

Instead, his face was filled with excitement.

However, other planes forced to return did not have such a good mood at this time. They knew nothing and returned cursing all the way.

”The fuel has arrived.”

At this moment, ten large fuel tankers slowly drove over.

The officer in charge of collecting fuel immediately jogged over.

”Everyone, I’ve collected fifty tons of fuel. I wonder if it’s enough?”

The officer looked at the mountain-like Mech, truly worried that the fuel he collected wouldn’t be enough. He knew he had pulled all the diesel from five surrounding gas stations.

Everyone present looked at Zhang Yuanhang.

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, is it enough?”

Lin Yun asked.

”Enough, enough. My Mech can only hold a maximum of twenty tons of fuel, so it’s completely enough.”

Zhang Yuanhang nodded, then motioned for them to drive the fuel tankers over, preparing to start refueling.

”Hurry up, you all go and help Comrade Xiao Zhang too. Do you still want to watch Comrade Xiao Zhang busy himself alone!”

Academician Li Bing and the other two Academicians turned their gazes, not kindly, towards the professors behind them.

”Okay, okay!”

These professors hadn’t reacted for a moment. Usually, it was young people like Zhang Yuanhang who assisted them and ran errands.

They had never personally assisted someone of Zhang Yuanhang’s age before, so when they saw Zhang Yuanhang busy, they habitually stood with their hands behind their backs.

After being scolded by Academician Li Bing and the others, they finally reacted and quickly went to assist Zhang Yuanhang.

”Lin Yun, how are your preparations going?”

”If you haven’t learned it yet, we can start in a few days.”

Academician Li Bing and the others looked at Lin Yun, who was changing into casual clothes, and quickly asked. Zhang Yuanhang had only taught Lin Yun for less than an hour. Did Lin Yun have the ability to pilot this Mech???

”Don’t worry, Everyone, I’m confident.”

”Comrade Xiao Zhang said that most of the Mech’s operations are completed by the Mech’s computer, so I don’t have much to do when I go up,” Lin Yun said.
