2023.

Blue Star, China, Shancheng.

”Why isn’t Zhang Yuanhang answering his phone yet?”

”There are only two days left until the graduation project assessment, and Zhang Yuanhang isn’t even in a hurry.”

Li Yaxin looked at the unanswered call on her phone and rubbed her forehead, a headache brewing.

Four years ago, Li Yaxin greatly admired Zhang Yuanhang. At that time, Zhang Yuanhang was admitted to Shancheng University of Science and Technology as the top student in Shancheng.

As Zhang Yuanhang’s class monitor, Li Yaxin originally thought he would go further and become an even more outstanding person.

Who knew that ever since the semester began, Zhang Yuanhang started coming and going at odd hours, and after his sophomore year, he was rarely seen at school.

If he hadn’t submitted perfect scores on every exam, the school would have expelled Zhang Yuanhang.

”Ya Xin, are you calling that prodigy Zhang Yuanhang again?”

”Why waste your time on someone like that?”

Li Yaxin’s good friend, Guan Ya, emerged from the bathroom with a face mask on.

”I was just thinking that Zhang Yuanhang has studied for four years, it would be such a shame if he missed the graduation project assessment!”

Guan Ya looked at Li Yaxin and couldn’t help but shake her head. If she didn’t know her good friend was such a warm-hearted person,

she would have mistaken Li Yaxin for being in love with Zhang Yuanhang.

”Forget it, forget it, I won’t bother with Zhang Yuanhang anymore. As class monitor, I’ve called him so many times, that’s enough.”

Li Yaxin put down her phone and went to wash up.

At this moment, Zhang Yuanhang, whom Li Yaxin was talking about, was busy in a factory building.

Inside the factory, a massive mecha was calmly half-crouched on the ground. Yes, a mecha.

”Finally finished!”

Zhang Yuanhang wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Since entering university, Zhang Yuanhang had been bound to a system called Civilization Technology.

For Zhang Yuanhang, who dreamed of becoming humanity’s first scientist, this was an enormous surprise.

The system’s first task for Zhang Yuanhang was to build a mecha.

So, over the past five years, with the system’s help, Zhang Yuanhang had built this colossal fifty-meter-tall humanoid mecha.

Looking at the mecha before him, its paint gleaming with metallic luster, its intricate mechanical structures all highlighting its violent aesthetic, a hint of fervor appeared in Zhang Yuanhang’s eyes.

As it was an initial task, the funds for building this mecha were provided by the system. Otherwise, no matter how capable Zhang Yuanhang was, he wouldn’t have been able to build this mecha.

”After one final check, we can officially begin testing the mecha.”

Thinking that he would soon be able to pilot this mecha, Zhang Yuanhang felt a little excited.

While Zhang Yuanhang was conducting the final check on the mecha, Everyone in the factory area was in the middle of a live broadcast.

Wang Wei smiled as he watched Yu Ge, the streamer he had paid a large sum to invite, promote his automatic massage chairs. His face was full of smiles.

Four thousand automatic massage chairs were stored here, worth fifty million. If Yu Ge could sell half of them, Wang Wei would make a huge profit.

”Families, this automatic massage chair is simply too comfortable.”

”If you buy one for your home, and massage for a while after getting off work every day, it’s incredibly comfortable!”

”And this massage chair can even soak your feet, it’s an absolute bargain.”

Yu Ge enthusiastically promoted the automatic massage chair he was sitting on.

’Just by Yu Ge’s expression, you can tell how comfortable this massage chair is. No, I have to buy one too.’

’I’ve never bought a defective product from Yu Ge’s live stream before, I’ll get one too.’

’It’s a shame the price is a bit high, otherwise I would have bought it.’

...Hundreds of thousands of netizens in Yu Ge’s live stream were watching at this moment, and those who were tempted immediately clicked on the shopping cart, causing sales to surge.

While Everyone was busy.

A section of a power cord in a corner developed a break, occasionally emitting sparks.

Normally, Everyone might have heard the abnormal sounds in the warehouse, discovered the danger, and averted it.

Unfortunately, with Yu Ge’s broadcast and the continuous increase in sales, Everyone was immersed in joy, and no one noticed the wire that had just been intermittently emitting small sparks.

At this moment, black smoke had started to rise from it.

”Why do I smell something burning?”

Wang Wei sniffed around, feeling as if something was on fire.

His eyes immediately scanned the area, and sure enough, he found flames in a corner.

”Oh no, it’s on fire! Quickly, put it out!”

Wang Wei pointed at the flames in the corner and shouted. At this moment, one of Wang Wei’s employees saw the large fire.

He immediately picked up the prepared foot-soaking water nearby and threw it directly onto the fire.

However, instead of being extinguished by the water, the fire intensified.

”Oh no, it’s a fire caused by a short circuit.”

”Run!”

Yu Ge saw the fire getting bigger and instantly understood what had caused it. Seeing that the fire had already ignited the automatic massage chairs in the warehouse, he immediately grabbed his live streaming equipment and ran out.

Initially, the employees in the warehouse picked up fire extinguishers to put out the fire, but seeing that the fire was already out of control, Everyone turned and ran.

”Everyone, don’t run!”

”Quickly help me put out the fire, I’ll give you a raise, I’ll give you triple!”

Wang Wei watched his employees flee one after another, with no one left to fight the fire. He was so anxious he was jumping up and down in place.

After all, the goods here were worth tens of millions. If they were all burned, Wang Wei would go bankrupt.

”Boss, the fire is too big, it’s already uncontrollable, we should run!”

”Yes, boss, run!”

”Exactly, exactly, as the saying goes, ’As long as the green hills remain, there will be wood to burn!’”

...The employees present immediately carried their boss, Wang Wei, and escaped from the warehouse.

’Good heavens, the fire has spread so quickly it’s burned through the factory roof.’

’This boss is back to square one overnight.’

’The fire is spreading too fast. Even if the Firefighting team arrives, all the goods here will probably be reduced to ashes!’

’This big fire won’t spread to the factory next door, will it? Quickly call the Firefighting department!’

...The netizens in the live stream realized at this point that the wind direction was very unfavorable.

If it kept blowing like this, the factory next door would be affected.

”Did you call the Firefighting department?”

Yu Ge turned and hurriedly asked his assistant.

”Yes, yes, but it’s a ten-minute drive from the fire station.”

”Firefighting said they’ll try their best to get here in eight minutes.”

The assistant nodded and said. At this moment, Everyone could only helplessly watch the raging fire consume everything.

Everyone now only hoped that it wouldn’t spread to the factory next door.

”I’ll go notify the people in the factory next door and tell them to evacuate first.”

The assistant said.

”No, you rest for a bit, you’ve worked hard.”

”I’ll go notify them.”

Yu Ge said. How could Yu Ge let someone else take the opportunity to show off?

’My Yu Ge is righteous.’

’I didn’t misjudge Yu Ge, but Yu Ge, you need to be careful too!’

...Watching the bullet comments in the live stream, Yu Ge was overjoyed, then grabbed his live streaming equipment and jogged towards the factory next door.

”Strange, why did the temperature suddenly get so hot?”

”I remember I turned on the air conditioning.”

Having just finished checking the mecha, Zhang Yuanhang felt as if his factory was being roasted by fire.

Looking at the normally operating air conditioner, Zhang Yuanhang was at a loss for a moment.
