The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1195: Chapter 1195: Not Even Afraid of Blood

The room was filled with laughter, when Madam Ruan, who had sharp eyes, noticed Shu Yu outside and exclaimed, ”Yu is back.”

Shu Yu walked quickly forward. Except for her brother, who was still at school, everyone else gathered around her.

Ah Ning hugged Shu Yu’s waist, holding up a jade pendant, ”Second sister, second sister, my mentor gave me this. I have a mentor now.”

”Yes, Ah Ning, make sure to study well with your mentor in the future.” Shu Yu patted her head and smiled warmly.

With Shu Yu’s return, the Lu family was very happy. Even though they had already heard a lot about the capital from Zhao Xi, they still surrounded her with endless questions.

It was the old lady who noticed the time was getting late and waved everyone away, ”Alright, it’s already high noon. Yu must not have eaten yet, having rushed back so quickly. Stop blocking the way and go eat.”

The others had already eaten, assuming Shu Yu would be delayed at the manor for a while and at least not return until late afternoon. They didn’t expect her to arrive just after noon, clearly setting off without lunch.

Shu Yu and the others were then escorted to the flower hall.

Ah Ning clung to Shu Yu’s side for a while before finally being pulled away by the old lady.

Then, she saw Little Song Le.

The little girl, with her big round eyes, cautiously asked him, ”Little Lele?”

Shu Yu noticed that Little Song Le started to hide again, lowering his head without looking at Ah Ning.

Shu Yu was now certain that Little Song Le wasn’t afraid of adults quarreling or fighting, but he was afraid of children.

She remembered his previous living environment, where the children of the Hong Family, influenced by Aunt Hong’s daughter-in-law, weren’t friendly to Little Song Le.

If they had hurt Little Song Le, it wouldn’t be surprising that he was afraid of children.

Sometimes, it’s children who can show the most direct and boundless malice, causing the greatest harm.

Instead, adults were restrained because Aunt Hong was there. Even if her daughter-in-law disliked Little Song Le, she wouldn’t resort to violence, maybe just insulting him or denying him food, but her real target was Aunt Hong.

And as for Aunt Hong, in Little Song Le’s mind, she was an even more protective figure.

The quarrels between Aunt Hong and her daughter-in-law were so common that to Little Song Le, they seemed ordinary.

Thus, he was not afraid and even found it amusing when Second Aunt Zhou and Madam Li quarreled.

After all, during his journey with them, it had been a long time since he had seen such a scene. Perhaps he even missed it.

Thinking of this, Shu Yu felt it necessary to discuss with Old Doctor Zhao later whether Little Song Le’s silence was related to his fear of children.

But Ah Ning felt a bit sad seeing Little Song Le avoid her.

She tugged on Shu Yu’s sleeve and whispered, ”Second sister, does Little Lele not like me?”

”No, he’s just in a new place and feels insecure.”

Ah Ning suddenly understood, ”Oh, I see. I totally understand him. I used to be like that, wanting to hide when seeing strangers. But now I’m not afraid, I’m not even afraid of blood.”

Very brave indeed.

That’s exactly what the mentor had just praised her for.

Shu Yu nodded repeatedly. Ah Ning wanted to say more, but was grabbed by the collar and taken away by the old lady.

”Don’t disturb your second sister while she’s eating.”
