The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1156: Chapter 1156: This is Gouwa

However, the Song Family indeed accumulated some wealth because of Song Xin.

The First Song was in the process of selecting a suitable wife, and then something happened to Song Xin.

As for Song Qing, he was entirely different from the First Song. His age was not too far from Song Xin’s; they practically grew up together.

Their relationship was quite good, and they disagreed with their parents’ plan to marry Song Xin off to a wealthy person.

The Song parents were very displeased with this son for constantly opposing them for Song Xin’s sake. They believed Song Xin was inciting him, and every time Song Qing brought up the matter, Song Xin would get punished, which infuriated Song Qing to the point of almost running away from home.

Later, he dared not mention it much, and since their parents forbade them from being too close and as they grew older, their sibling relationship was no longer as close as in childhood.

When Song Qing turned fourteen, he met Miss Hong outside, who was two years older than him and ready for marriage.

If Song Qing did not propose, Miss Hong would have to marry someone else, as the Hong parents could not afford to take the risk. What if when Song Qing was old enough to marry, he decided not to propose? It would then be difficult for Miss Hong to find a suitable match.

So Song Qing went home to discuss it with Father Song and Mother Song, but the Song parents disagreed.

The conditions of the Hong Family were not good, and Song Qing was still young. Once Song Xin married a wealthy man, Song Qing would have more options.

To prevent Song Qing and Miss Hong from meeting, the Song Family simply confined him at home.

Song Qing, young and impulsive, with immature thoughts and in a rebellious phase, escaped from the Song Family in a moment of impulse and eloped with Miss Hong.

This act infuriated both families.

The Hong Family came to demand their daughter back, while the Song Family accused the Hong Family of not raising their daughter properly. The two families quarreled incessantly.

Aunt Hong, the wife of Miss Hong’s elder brother, naturally went to the Song Family during that time and saw Song Xin.

Song Qing was gone for three years. During this time, Song Xin was favored by Gong Qiu, became one of the ones locked outside, met with misfortune, and left the capital.

Everyone thought Song Xin was dead, and the Song family’s life became difficult again.

At this time, Song Qing returned to the Song Family with his wife and their one-year-old child.

Both of them were young, having endured many hardships outside, with no choice but to return.

However, they were unaware that by then Gong Qiu had already planned to eliminate the entire Song Family.

Meng Yunzheng, at the age of ten, was taken back by Gong Qiu and inquired about the Song Family’s situation.

The news he received was that the entire Song Family had perished in a fire.

Such familiar tactics, was this not the same way his mother was reduced to ashes?

Meng Yunzheng did not need an investigation to know that this was undoubtedly the work of Gong Qiu and Noble Princess Consort Liu.

Song Xin had stumbled upon the affair between Gong Qiu and Noble Princess Consort Liu after leaving the Song Family, after which they controlled her. But Gong Qiu was obviously not at ease; since Song Xin was ’dead,’ he wanted to wipe out everything related to her.

Song Qing was incredibly unlucky; just a few months after returning, he encountered this disaster aimed at silencing witnesses through murder.

Meng Yunzheng looked at Aunt Hong, ”You say you are my uncle’s sister-in-law, so what brings Aunt Hong here today?”

Aunt Hong pointed to the small child standing beside Shu Yu and said, ”This child is your uncle’s grandson, Gouwa.”

Meng Yunzheng and Meng Pei turned their heads suddenly to look at this silent child.

Shu Yu was quite speechless about this name...
