The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1188: Chapter 1188: Zhou Qiao Is Pregnant

Little Ya’er jumped in shock, and Shu Yu knitted her brows, looking towards the direction of the sound.

That side, it seemed to be the kitchen.

Shu Yu intended to go and have a look, but after taking just two steps, she saw someone emerge from the living room, hurriedly heading towards the kitchen.

After walking a few steps, this person spotted Shu Yu standing in the courtyard and widened her eyes in astonishment.

Then she quickly turned on her heel and walked straight toward Shu Yu.

“Yu, when did you get back?”

Shu Yu hastily stuffed the head accessories into Little Ya’er’s arms and began conversing with Zhou Qiao, “I just came back, haven’t returned home yet, passed by the manor and decided to drop by first.”

She looked Zhou Qiao up and down rather oddly for a moment, “Are you…”

Zhou Qiao suddenly blushed, “Did you notice? I, I’m already pregnant, found out just a few days after you left home, now I’m already four months along.”

Shu Yu’s mouth hung open, blankly staring at her belly.

No wonder she thought Zhou Qiao had gained weight, her belly was slightly protruding.

But now with the weather turning colder, Zhou Qiao was dressed thicker, couldn’t see it at first glance.

After the initial shock came joy, “Then let me congratulate Sister-in-law first.”

Zhou Qiao laughed, then her gaze fell on the Little Song Le in her arms, somewhat puzzled, “This is…”

“This is Song Le, Meng Yunzheng’s nephew. It’s a long story, you’ll find out later.”

While speaking, she jostled Little Song Le up a bit.

Zhou Qiao saw that she was struggling to carry him and quickly led them inside, “You’ve just come back from traveling, you must be tired, let’s go to the living room to talk first, come, come.”

Shu Yu wasn’t tired, but Little Song Le was no longer frail, holding him continuously indeed made her arm sore.

Before, Zhao Xi and others would alternate holding him, or let him walk by himself.

But just when she was carrying him off the carriage, upon seeing Little Ya’er, he quickly turned, clinging tightly to her neck, his reaction caught her attention, dismissing the idea of putting him down, all the way carrying him inside.

Zhou Qiao led them inside, and upon reaching the living room, Shu Yu asked, “What’s going on in the kitchen, should we go and check?”

Speaking of this, Zhou Qiao had a headache expression.

She poured Shu Yu a cup of tea, then waved her hand saying, “Probably nothing much, it’s just my mother-in-law arguing with my second aunt.”

“You mean, Eldest Aunt… and your second aunt are both here?”

Needless to mention Eldest Aunt, Shu Yu had met Zhou Qiao’s second aunt before.

She had just returned from the exile area and gone straight to the ready-to-wear clothes shop, accidentally overheard this second aunt bad-mouthing her, even advising Zhou Qiao to divorce Brother Daniu and remarry.

Later, she scared her away.

Since then, she hadn’t seen that second aunt, not knowing whether out of embarrassment or fear.

Now hearing Zhou Qiao’s implication, she ended up clashing with Eldest Aunt?

Zhou Qiao said, “As I’m pregnant, both my mother-in-law and second aunt wanted to come to see me, saying they would take care of me. But who knew the moment they met, they started sparring, already argued three or four times.”

Shu Yu frowned, “Are they… staying on the manor?”

“Not really.” Zhou Qiao shook her head, “They both arrived yesterday afternoon, and have only stayed one day.”

“Staying just one day, yet argued three or four times?” These two must be born enemies, no wonder Zhou Qiao looked distressed when talking about this matter.
