My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2201: Chapter 2034: Free from Worries and Sorrows

Maybe you are not the great hero I wanted to marry since childhood, but I am nevertheless attracted to you. You may not be a prince, but I still want to stay with you for the rest of my life without asking for anything!

”Husband, although you think what I say makes sense, shouldn’t you forgive your parents and stop arguing with them? This way, your inner self won’t be in such pain. I don’t want to see you in anguish; you are the man I love most in this life. How can I bear to see you living so painfully alone? As your wife, how could my heart feel at ease? Ask if others care about your feelings, but as your wife, I definitely care about every feeling inside you. How could I not know how painful your heart is? I really don’t ask for much; I just want you to be able to live in peace. Perhaps in this life, we will accept different decisions and live different lives, but we must hold each other’s hands tightly and never part. If you think what I say makes sense, then forgive them. After all, they are already our parents. If because of us, they can’t return home forever, just think about how guilty we would feel. We can’t let others seize our weaknesses to laugh at us. We should be gracious and forgive those who have hurt and abandoned us. That’s the real, best way to retaliate, making others’ hearts even more painfully miserable, isn’t it?

They never thought that those they hurt deeply would choose to forgive them so easily, making their inner guilt unbearable. They will surely feel that all of this was just a mistake they made; why did they have to hurt such a good person? Once we make this decision, they will never find a way to hurt us again. Isn’t it best to live the life we should without complicating things? Why make our hearts suffer repeatedly?”

Zhang Yichen didn’t know how to respond to what his wife said. He just knew that her words resonated deeply with him, but he couldn’t let go of his pride to forgive his parents. Wouldn’t he be compromising his principles if he easily forgave them? If he did so, wouldn’t they hurt him again as they did before, with no controls or solutions in place? Why should he forgive them and risk being hurt again when holding them accountable might make them learn from their harsh decision to abandon him, showing them the painful consequences of such actions? Wouldn’t that be better?

”Dear, I know what you’re thinking, but I hope you understand that not everything done according to our thoughts is right. One day, you’ll realize some matters require deep contemplation on how to proceed. Our parents also once turned us away. So when they ridicule us, won’t they think that we don’t even possess the basic capacity to forgive, while others talk about tolerance as vast as the ocean? Why expose this?”

As for our parents’ mistakes, they shouldn’t burden us for eternity, for it causes me great pain. Allow them the chance to stay by your side, take care of you. If you still feel uneasy or think they have no heart, then you can drive them away later. But refusing them outright without giving a single chance is really unreasonable. You’re educated, and we both know we’ve received different education. Why allow others to catch our weaknesses to mock us?

Husband, you know Grandpa’s pride, his face is embodied in his daughter. Jin Guang has already been abandoned, shouldn’t you polish your so-called dignity for his sake? If others find out, they’ll surely laugh at Grandpa and say he taught Sun Wufang. Wouldn’t that hurt your pride, being scolded behind your back? As a woman, seeing your grandpa making sacrifices repeatedly for you, yet you don’t offer him any reciprocation. Are you really willing to see Grandpa in agony because of your issues? You wouldn’t wish for this outcome, but don’t know how to solve it. Now I’ve given you all the solutions, the rest depends on your decisions. If you’re really willing to make Grandpa appear in such a plight because of these decisions, then disregard everything I said. He’s your grandpa; ponder deeply about the decision, knowing whatever the result, there’s no turning back. No one will offer you chances to make amends without understanding what went wrong. Think carefully before acting, only then can we go far!”

Zhang Yichen was now deeply conflicted and in pain, unsure of what decision to make. Hating his parents was out of the question, yet should he now act gracefully, showing the world what kind of parents they are? Why repeatedly pay the terrible price for allowing others to believe everything is justified?

”Okay, I’ll listen to you this time and choose to forgive my parents. Then I hope they promise never to abandon me so easily again. I can’t bear their repeated harm; I’m just an ordinary person, and if they abandon me once more, I’ll have no chance left to hold them accountable because I can’t do it...”

The once talented scholar, the epitome of heroism, yearned for you to follow wholeheartedly, without sorrow or regret!
