My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2228: Chapter 2061: Silly Smile

Isn’t the purpose of two people being together just to be happy? If someone is always pretending in front of you, would you consider that happiness?

”Zhentian, are you really that foolish? You weren’t like this before. Although I used to jokingly call you naive and too innocent, acting without thinking things through.

But why, when doing this today, didn’t you consider the final outcome from deep within your heart? You never really considered how your father would feel. In your eyes, it’s as if only I matter... but is a wife really that important to you? Your father is the one who gave you life and raised you, how hard was it for him to do so? I’m just a pawn you married into the family. Without a wife, you can find another one, but once you lose your father, he’s truly gone forever. Why don’t you consider your family’s feelings?

Even though you care about me so much, deep down, I’m truly moved and happy to receive such deep love from you. But love isn’t like this sometimes, your love is too selfish. This kind of love is something we can’t bear. The life we want is very simple and the happiness we seek is very basic, but why does each outcome end with us both in agony? Is that really the ending you want?

You should understand that all anyone wants is a simple life. We’ve been through so many ups and downs over the years, and no one knows better than you. You know how I’ve gotten through these years, and you know how I feel about you. Deep down, you know more than anyone, but why do you still pretend to be innocent? You think that by doing so, you can gain others’ understanding. Do you find that amusing?

Time and again, I’ve taken the blame for everything, while you step out to bear everything for me, making the world see me as a bad person!

Sometimes you have to reverse your thinking, put yourself in others’ shoes to understand what they think about your actions. If people knew this outcome, what would they think deep inside? Never look at things only from your perspective; that view is too careless. You can’t make decisions others want for them. Sometimes, your thoughts are just misunderstandings about others, but often that’s not how they think, and misunderstandings between us grow larger because of it, don’t they?

I think the person you should apologize to the most right now isn’t me, it’s your father. If you were to suddenly die today, you would lose your father and son. To put it harshly, you’d be abandoning them once again, completely and permanently. In their hearts, they would never forgive you for being a heartless father and son, because your actions are utterly unforgivable. Why do you keep treating them like that, just for my sake?

I already said that I no longer hold any grudges over past events. By marrying you, I’ve proven that I won’t pursue past mistakes anymore. You don’t need to keep holding on to past issues; it brings no benefit, only making things more complicated and creating more trouble between us. All I want is to stay here peacefully, stay by my child’s side, and I ask you to give me this chance. Don’t keep making things difficult for me, opposing me at every turn.”

Zhang Zhentian hung his head in response to his wife’s words. It was only then that he realized that none of his actions had been right. His wife was always so sensible, and what was all that he had done? He almost caused his father to completely lose him again. Even though he cared so much about his well-being, why did he act so thoughtlessly, why was he so dismissive of others’ thoughts about his actions?

The blame was on himself for being too stubborn and willful. Not once did he consider whether others could bear such blows. He just made decisions out of a whim, only to regret them later, by which time it was too late. No one would wait forever for him to admit his mistakes, and even if they did, others might not forgive him.

”Xia Jing, I’m sorry. I understand now. I feel like none of the things I’ve done before were right. What I want now is just a stable life. I won’t recklessly risk my life anymore because life is precious, and there’s only one. I must not joke with my life, or my family would suffer, especially Father. As you said, he raised me with such difficulty; how can a parent mourn a child?

If that happened, how painful it would be for those people. I’m his son, but if I leave in this way, how could his heart ever understand or be happy? All Father wants is for his son to safely live and be by his side, to have someone to talk to at any time. Seeing this person there is a blessing and comfort, but if I really left this world, what would Father have to say? He wouldn’t even see my face. Wouldn’t that break his heart even more?”

”It’s good that you’ve finally understood. If you keep going down this path, I really won’t know how to talk to you anymore.

Your thought process is slower than everyone else’s. While others immediately admit their mistakes, you can’t react in time. You don’t even think you’re wrong, but in reality, every decision you’ve made was wrong. You never considered others’ thoughts. Now, aren’t you going to find your father and sincerely apologize? Do you still want him to keep worrying about you?

Parents, no matter the time or place, care deeply about their children’s well-being. Even if a child makes mistakes, parents only care about how their children are living!

Sometimes a silly smile is not because she is thoughtless but because she wants to leave all the good emotions to you!
