My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2249: Chapter 2082: Because of You

Many feelings, I have made sacrifices because of you, changed my views, but I still hope you can think about returning to my side.

”Now you come to me talking about the past, but do you know how much I used to care about this family? In the past, everything I did was not for my happiness, but so that everyone at home could live happily. That’s why I made those decisions. But why, in the end, did I discover all of this was just my mistake alone? Has anyone stood in my shoes to consider the hurt I once suffered?”

Zhang Yichen couldn’t hold back a laugh. He felt that his mother’s worldview was entirely different from his own. Everything his mother did was right, but whatever he did was wrong. Has anyone ever thought that everything wasn’t what he wanted the most? In the end, looking back, what was the point of everything he once sacrificed? No one ever considered anything from his perspective, and he still lived a very difficult life.

Perhaps he really should have forgiven them from the beginning and shouldn’t have had such thoughts. Would forgiving them really bring about the most desired outcome, and would they think about his life from his perspective? But no, his parents were always so selfish, never thinking from his perspective.

Maybe he just had too much hope.

”Mom, hearing you say these things today doesn’t feel good in the depths of my heart. From the beginning, I never thought that one day you would speak to me in such a tone. I just wanted everyone to live happily, yet in the end, you treated me in this way. In your eyes, am I really your son? If you truly considered me your son, you wouldn’t be threatening and hurting me with such words today. Every word you say feels like a knife stabbing into my heart. Have you considered how strong my heart’s endurance really is?

In the end, I can’t even believe how strong my heart’s endurance actually is. Despite all the hurt you give me, I haven’t given up. I’m constantly pushing myself to make greater decisions.

You now think that everything you ever did was for my own good, but have you really considered if those were the results I wanted? Every step I took to get here was difficult. Everything I did was just so that everyone could live happily. All I wanted was something plain and simple, but why, in your eyes, does everything amount to nothing? I’ve received nothing from you internally. You never considered what kind of results I should receive. In your inner world, there is only you, and you can’t accommodate anyone else. Perhaps we will always be like this, and there is no other way to live happily like before. But events like these happening to us time and again have proven everything.”

”Do you think I’m easy to bully? Although I casually leave without saying a word when there are no classes, and maybe saying a few nice words when I want to come back will make me forgive you, have you ever thought about the rule of three? Yet time and again, like this, who would be willing to forgive endlessly without limits? What’s the result of forgiving you? More hurt? Why should anyone be stupid enough to treat you like this over and over again?”

”I really don’t understand, for someone like you, deep in your heart, how strong is your tolerance? After being hurt time and again, can you still happily forgive them? Can you really act as if nothing ever happened? Actually, it’s impossible. There’s no way to do it because you’re quite clear inside that it has all constituted harm. There’s no way to change it anymore. No one would give you everything you want for no reason. Everyone’s actions are just hoping you can achieve your desired outcome. But do you really hope we can all live happily? What you do time and again is just to make everyone uncomfortable. You repeatedly make me lose face in front of others. I don’t blame you. Even if you hurt me time and again, I still don’t blame you, because you’re my family, because you’re the mother who gave birth to me and raised me. I can overlook all your past mistakes for you. But I can’t stupidly, after being used by you, still happily say it’s okay, I don’t mind. I was used by you again this time. But I really can’t. I’m not selfless. All I want is to live lightly, happily, even if that outcome isn’t what I most want, at least I wouldn’t be as mentally exhausted and in pain as now. I really don’t know what attitude or method I should use to express the life I should deserve. I’m exhausted. Everything I did never considered how I should do it all, unlike the state I am now.’

”Originally I planned to forgive you, but once I heard what you said, I suddenly changed my mind. Why should I forgive you? Every word you say is too much, yet I choose to forgive you time and again. Will you overstep more to hurt me? I can’t bear such hurt anymore. I just want to live quietly, or hope to live lightly and happily, without anyone disturbing me.”

”If you really hope we can live happily, then please don’t hurt me with such words anymore. The result of hurting me does you no good. With one hurt, what do you gain? You only achieve more distance between us, and there’s no way to change that distance. So how do you expect us to interact in the future?”

”I hope you can have mercy and spare me, rather than using such methods to repeatedly hurt me, which only oppresses me and brings you no good result.”

Xia Jing was silent. He never imagined that today his son would say such words to him. He couldn’t believe it, but he also knew that everything was just the consequences of his past mistakes, simply the responsibilities he should bear for everything...

Because of you, I gave up a lot. Because of you, I changed a lot. Because of you, I lost a lot. And because of you, I also gained a lot!
