The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 901: Chapter 901: Aren’t We the National First This Year

So when this subject came up again, she turned to laugh and said: ”You don’t need to feel too much pressure either. It’s estimated that no one from the Chinese Medicine department will participate again this year. Just play at your usual level, I believe you can take first place, but even if you don’t, it doesn’t matter. They will definitely focus on mocking the Chinese Medicine department when the time comes! Since no one from the Chinese Medicine department participates every year, it’s no wonder that people mock them year after year.”

Caryn Zachmann just hummed in response, her gaze slightly withdrawing. The distress she had been feeling all afternoon finally eased a bit, and she secretly made up her mind.

First place, huh?

This time, she must clinch it!

Let those people take a good look!

Inside Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, Winston Sullivan was struggling with this issue.

A form identical to the one Adelle Wafford had given to Caryn Zachmann was placed on his desk—it had been sitting there for half a day, and he simply couldn’t find a name to fill in.

”...So our department won’t be sending anyone this year?” A Chinese Medicine teacher asked with a bitter expression, unwilling to accept it.

Winston Sullivan still looked as scruffy as ever, unkempt and with a rough and messy beard on his chin that he hadn’t shaved, yet his spirit seemed pretty good. But at the moment, his face was pinched with frustration, looking utterly helpless.

”Otherwise, who should we send? Just pick a student at random and come back with the last place?”

Winston Sullivan leaned his head on his hand, as if his head was about to explode: ”It doesn’t matter if we take the last place, but the adjacent Clinical Department is looking forward to our embarrassment. They will definitely send Caryn Zachmann or Vivian Radcliff this year, and even at worst, they’d get into the top three. They get into the top three, and we get the last place. If it gets out, our Chinese Medicine department will only have an even worse reputation!”

”But this is the third year. If we don’t go again this year, will our reputation be any better if it gets out?”

All major universities send representatives, and the Medical Department of Southern University is no exception.

Even other schools that are not in Beijing, as long as they have a Medical Department, have one or two spots. Qing University ranks first among national universities, so if the Chinese Medicine department can’t find anyone to send, how is that not a laughingstock?

”...”

What she said, Winston Sullivan had thought about it himself.

But it’s easier said than done.

Their Chinese Medicine department only enrolls two or three students each year, and all of them are those who are unwilling to learn, just mixing through to get a diploma.

Under such circumstances, how could they select a representative from the Chinese Medicine department to participate?

”Right!” The female teacher suddenly thought of something, clapped her hands, her eyes brightened, and stood up excitedly: ”You forgot, this year our department is different, don’t we have a national top scorer?”

It took a few seconds for Winston Sullivan to come back to his senses and frowned: ”You mean... Nathalie Quinlan?”

This year, Pinecone Group bizarrely funded his medical research project. Recently, he had been busy trying to produce tangible results, and he hadn’t paid much attention to outside affairs.

But he had heard people mention that Nathalie Quinlan topped the national exam.

Their Chinese Medicine department is scorned year after year, yet this year they have produced a genius with top scores across the board. Naturally, he takes pride in it.

”But...” Winston Sullivan’s eyes only brightened for a moment, the glint in them quickly fading away: ”What you said is correct, but Nathalie Quinlan has just finished the college entrance exam, and classes haven’t started yet. She’s not officially a Chinese Medicine department student, does that even meet the requirements?”

And even if Nathalie Quinlan’s academic performance is outstanding, the problem is she hasn’t systematically studied medicine, and this medical competition is about theoretical medical knowledge.

Many complex medical points are involved, and even he might not achieve good results, let alone someone who has never systematically studied medicine.

How can Nathalie Quinlan go?
