The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 916: Chapter 916: Don’t Move Around in Front of Me Before I’ve Had Enough Sleep

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t care, continuing, ”After getting off the airplane, we went to eat at the Imperial Hotel, and it took four hours.”

Amadeus Yancey: ”...”

He stopped responding, his eyes brimming with emotion. His appearance was truly excessively enchanting; otherwise, he wouldn’t be declared by people like Brian Bonette as one of Beijing’s top three beauties.

The beauty of the sky and water, and then there’s Amadeus’s exceptional charm!

Typically, he’s Beijing’s unattainable beauty, too exquisite for anyone to dare or qualify to approach.

Even Caryn Zachmann, who prides herself on breaking into the elite circle, becomes very cautious around him, positioning herself like a little sister, not daring to overstep for fear of angering him.

But in front of Nathalie Quinlan, Amadeus Yancey was always gentle.

Such a good temper, seen as almost divine by anyone familiar with him outside, it softened his heart, causing even the high and mighty Mr. Yancey to lower his noble nape in tenderness.

So even though Amadeus Yancey didn’t understand why Nathalie Quinlan brought up not resting well, he listened with an immense patience to her finish.

”After returning, I took four phone calls, replied to eight messages...” Nathalie Quinlan spoke in a calm and steady tone, as if she was just casually chatting with him.

Amadeus Yancey also had the patience to listen to her narrate, ”Then what?”

The girl’s eyes, usually restrained, suddenly released a wild look and stared at him, yet she didn’t continue speaking.

But the next second, she suddenly tilted her head up and bit his thin lips!

Her action was not very skilled, completely unlike her usual capable and calm demeanor, as sloppy as it was—it was more like a bite than a kiss.

The bite baffled the usually proud and self-possessed Mr. Yancey, taking him a moment to recover.

After Nathalie Quinlan bit him, she immediately regretted it, released him, and pretended to be nonchalant as she collapsed back onto the sofa, tightly pressing her lips together, lifting her hand to suppress the mischief in her eyes, she restrained herself, ”Next time I haven’t slept enough, don’t dangle in front of me, I don’t have as much self-control as you think.”

Amadeus Yancey took a while to find his voice again, somewhat mechanically: ”...not as much self-control as I thought?”

Shouldn’t he be the one saying that?

Nathalie Quinlan, defiantly removing the hand that covered her eyes, said frankly, ”Ah, so don’t flirt with me; I can’t resist it.”

She added irritably: ”Especially the good-looking ones, I can’t control myself as you might think.”

Beijing’s Mr. Yancey: ...

But Amadeus Yancey was always Amadeus Yancey; after being stunned by her antics, he quickly recovered, watching the girl on the sofa who seemed ready to deny everything, his chest trembling with a low chuckle as he lifted his hand to touch the lip that had been bitten, hissing from the slight pain, probably swollen.

His eyes couldn’t help but fill with a laugh, showing no sign of anger, he leaned down and asked the girl, ”Want to go see a movie?”

Nathalie Quinlan, having just lost control in front of him, now placed her hand on her phone, eyes wandering, leaning back on the sofa as if pondering.

Amadeus Yancey gave her time to think, adding, ”Sadam Vinson said there’s a good movie recently; if you don’t want to go to the cinema, we can watch it at home.”

He owned a film company; getting a movie’s master copy was easy, just a command away, and it would be delivered right to his apartment.

The apartment had a special movie room, small but enough for two, though he seldom used it or watched movies.

”Want to watch?” he asked the girl again.
