The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 930: Chapter 930: Did You See Nathalie Quinlan’s Name?

Sadam Vinson heard people behind him talking about Nathalie Quinlan, speaking words that were not nice to hear.

His temper was volatile, and it was hard for him to suppress the anger in his chest, the restless fury pressing on his brow and eyes, yet Sadam Vinson forcefully held it back.

Like these young masters who are used to running amok in Beijing, if it weren’t for the special nature of today, he would have already started arguing with that gossiping man behind him.

But today, he managed to keep his anger down.

It was staring at the LED screen that displayed Nathalie Quinlan’s unchanging score that he became somewhat agitated and asked the man next to him.

Amadeus Yancey’s eyes also narrowed slightly, his arms crossed, sharing the same demeanor as Mr. Yancey, his eyes were extremely black, not looking at the screen but at the girl on the stage, and he said nonchalantly, ”Wait a bit longer.”

Nathalie Quinlan is not the kind of person who would end up being the last in exams, if she wasn’t confident about getting a good score, she probably wouldn’t have agreed to participate in this competition for Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department and Mr. Avalon.

If she came, then the dictionary would not have the words ”the very last”!

Sadam Vinson stared at his composed brows and eyes for a long time, got sulky again for a while, then turned his head away and continued to look up nervously at Nathalie Quinlan’s score.

...

The first round of the competition had a total of one hour of answering time.

Forty minutes in, Evelyn Quarles’ score had already reached 50 points.

Caryn Zachmann was in second place with only 41 points, which means, essentially, she had lost the possibility of contending with Evelyn Quarles for the first place.

Because judging from the speed at which the two were answering questions, the number of questions they completed should be about the same, with Evelyn Quarles having a higher accuracy rate than Caryn Zachmann.

Probably due to the immense pressure, or maybe the questions got harder as they progressed, everyone in the venue noticed that Caryn Zachmann’s score was rising slower.

Sometimes several minutes passed without gaining a single point, somewhat stuck in the 40-point range.

Evelyn Quarles, on the other hand, was about the same as before, with every score update increasing by one or two points. Considering this pace and performance, Evelyn Quarles’ final score would not be less than 55 points.

With a total score of 60 points, if Evelyn Quarles got over 55 points in the first round, by the time the second round of individual quick-response section came, it would be much more difficult for Caryn Zachmann to overtake her.

In the camera lens, the expression on Evelyn Quarles’ face clearly relaxed, the corners of her mouth curling in disdain, nonchalantly playing along, arrogant and imperious, igniting the fury of the medical students in the venue!

This was a blatant humiliation!

The venue gradually became quiet, no one wanted to speak, mainly because no one expected Caryn Zachmann to fall behind Evelyn Quarles by 10 points after the first round.

However, a small change on the big screen during another score update caused an exclamation in the venue.

An hour into the test, everyone went from being surprised that Nathalie Quinlan from Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department ended up last, to scoffing at her, and then to being too lazy to scoff...

Everyone in the venue including Winston Sullivan grew accustomed to seeing Nathalie Quinlan’s name hang at the very bottom, but at this refresh, the 066th place became the previous second-to-last, Santonia University’s medical student Daphne Wiltsey.

It seemed Nathalie Quinlan’s rank had gone up.

But many people didn’t notice what rank she actually was.

Sadam Vinson, along with Alfred Garland and Govert Griffin, stared intently at the big screen counting the rankings, looking for Nathalie Quinlan’s name among them.

After a long search, they couldn’t find the person they wanted to see on the last page.

”Where did Ms. Quinlan’s name go?” Alfred Garland looked over carefully again, indeed he couldn’t find Nathalie Quinlan on the last page, his mind agitated as he looked toward Sadam Vinson, asking, ”Mr. Vinson, did you see Ms. Quinlan’s name?”
