The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 914: Chapter 914: I Support Any Decision She Makes

Alfred Garland furrowed his brow and followed, rambling, ”Has Mr. Avalon and his circle gone too far? Ms. Quinlan is only a freshman this year. Even if the Chinese Medicine department needed someone to take the hit, they shouldn’t have picked Ms. Quinlan. Aren’t they blatantly making Ms. Quinlan take the flak for the Chinese Medicine department?”

This decision by the Chinese Medicine department is truly not decent. Where do you find making a freshman who hasn’t even started school yet represent the entire department in a competition?

That competition isn’t just a trivial one. There will be professional reporters going there, covering the entire event.

They might even set up a live broadcast.

Wouldn’t that mean the whole country would watch Ms. Quinlan come last?

Alfred Garland couldn’t swallow his frustration, feeling choked up as he followed Amadeus Yancey, venting for Nathalie Quinlan, ”No matter what, the Chinese Medicine department shouldn’t be without any candidates. Not freshmen, there must be sophomores or juniors available. Why should they make Ms. Quinlan do it!”

Amadeus Yancey had already twisted open the bottle cap, took a sip of water, and casually placed the bottle down, his expression indifferent. He didn’t directly answer the question, only saying, ”The Chinese Medicine department must have registered Nathalie’s name with her consent. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have proceeded.”

Alfred Garland: ”...Did the big boss get his brain caught in a door??”

She knows it’s like going out to face bullets, and Ms. Quinlan agreed to it?

Alfred Garland looked with a face full of silent misery at the man who appeared extraordinarily calm: ”...Amadeus, are you just going to watch Ms. Quinlan participate in this competition? Won’t you stop her?”

”Why should I stop her?” After putting down the water, Amadeus Yancey, hands at his sides, glanced at him carelessly, ”It’s her decision.”

”I support any decision she makes.”

Subtle yet powerful.

Alfred Garland felt like he was force-fed a dog food treat; swallowing hard, he then said, ”But if Ms. Quinlan doesn’t achieve a good rank in the contest, the media will surely make a big deal out of it. Then people will start agitating things online again...”

That was something he and Shawn Norton thought alike.

Nathalie’s national fame as the Top Scholar in College Entrance Examination hasn’t even settled down yet, and now she’s participating in a competition. If she doesn’t land in the top three, how can she shut up those online critics?

Those people don’t care if you are an underclassman or if you are truly taking the heat for the Chinese Medicine department; they just feel that in such a patriotic competition, if you fail, then you are at fault!

Even if they, themselves aren’t competent, if you aren’t competent, then that’s not acceptable!

This kind of internet logic is quite rogue, but this roguish logic has existed for a long time, and people still like it.

They can manage the mouths within the Beijing circle, but they can’t control the general public outside.

He was mainly worried that Ms. Quinlan couldn’t handle it.

Amadeus Yancey, standing firm like a bamboo, still maintained a calm demeanor. However, he took Alfred Garland’s words into consideration, his hand resting on a nearby cabinet, fingers tapping the surface, slightly squinting as he asked Alfred Garland, ”Which domestic media is covering this competition?”

Such competitions are definitely covered by formal media reporters, with paparazzi generally not qualified.

With the Yancey family’s influential background, crushing one media outlet was merely a matter of lifting a finger.

No one would dare defy this leader for a mere competition.

Alfred Garland reacted quickly: ”I’ll check it out.”

”Yeah, check it out and give them a heads up.”

As for what kind of heads up, Alfred Garland knew very well. He nodded and hurried off to handle it.
