The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 937: Chapter 937: Nathalie: It was quite sudden at the time

Nathalie Quinlan kept playing with her phone while walking, logged into Instagram, posted a moment, then pocketed her phone and looked up to walk toward the group.

”Holy shit, Nathalie, you go girl!” Sadam Vinson reacted the most, extremely excited, circling around her and asking, ”Was that last question in the second round intentional?”

With a high score of 89 points, she stubbornly claimed she didn’t know it.

Evelyn Quarles and that overseas Master Carlo were both slapped in the face by Nathalie to the point their faces remained darkened throughout the event.

This face slap scored a 666.

Alfred Garland also looked at Nathalie with admiration.

Govert Griffin was a bit calmer than the two, and took the initiative to congratulate Nathalie: ”Ms. Quinlan, congratulations on winning first place in the medical competition. How about celebrating at noon? My treat.”

”Yes, yes, yes, we must celebrate at noon.” Sadam Vinson, as if suddenly remembering, turned his head to ask Amadeus Yancey, ”Amadeus, shall we get a group together? I’ll call some people.”

Amadeus Yancey was in a good mood, he lifted his hand to press down on the girl’s hat brim, a simple gesture that somehow conveyed his affection: ”Go ahead, just call a few. A few acquaintances will do, she’s shy with strangers.”

”...” Sadam Vinson felt unexpectedly shown up, secretly glanced at Nathalie, and with some restraint, said, ”Alright, I got it. I’ll call some acquaintances Nathalie has met before.”

Nathalie Quinlan had met a few people from their circle when she first came to Beijing, not the core members but still those who hung around the outskirts of their circle, Sadam Vinson considered calling the same few people from last time.

Besides deciding who’s coming for the meal, Sadam Vinson asked him, ”Amadeus, where shall we eat?”

Today the Medical Association is dining at the Imperial Hotel, they definitely won’t go there to avoid the hassle of running into them and having to exchange pleasantries.

Before Amadeus Yancey could speak, Govert Griffin quickly chimed in, ”I heard Ms. Quinlan likes hot pot? I know a hot pot restaurant that tastes pretty good, shall we go?”

Having hot pot in the middle of the day obviously wasn’t the preference of this bunch of people.

A celebration banquet needed at least a decent place to dine, but Sadam Vinson didn’t reject the suggestion outright, instead he looked inquiringly at Nathalie.

”Hot pot?” Amadeus Yancey lowered his head, asking the girl.

The girl’s phone kept beeping incessantly, but she didn’t take it out to check, her gaze fell as if she was pondering whether to go or not, eventually succumbed to the tempting hot pot, and after a moment she looked up, ”Let’s eat!”

Amadeus Yancey chuckled softly, with an indulgent look, turned his head to Govert Griffin, ”We’ll have hot pot at the place you mentioned for lunch.”

”No problem.” Govert Griffin thought he was merely making an opportunistic suggestion and didn’t expect it would align perfectly with Nathalie’s preferences. He immediately took out his phone to make a reservation call.

He was well-acquainted with the owner of the restaurant, so without any small talk, as soon as he got through he told them he booked the place for the noon, asking the owner not to take in other customers.

Both he and Sadam Vinson, one securing the dining spot and the other busy gathering people, weren’t paying attention here.

Amadeus Yancey was half-squinting his eyes, his deep gaze resting on the girl, seeing her also looking at her phone, in a low voice he asked the same question Sadam Vinson did.

”That last question in the second round, did you intentionally skip answering it?”

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her head, her beautiful pupils contracting with willfulness, and upon hearing the question, put her phone down and turned away with a rather indifferent expression, ”No. I didn’t know the answer to that question, I had no intention of answering it. I was just tired of standing and changed my pose, that’s all.”

She hadn’t expected Evelyn Quarles would become impatient and jump at the chance to answer.

As for her, at that moment... well... it was quite sudden.
