The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 936: Chapter 936: Oh, I don’t know how to do this problem.

”Is that even possible?” Sadam Vinson looked astonished, then glanced back at the stage, where the girl stood in a disheveled posture, quite casual.

The casual aura, in their eyes, was that of a boss, inscrutable. In the eyes of her opponents, her casualness probably came across as provocation and arrogance!

Sadam Vinson felt like he instantly understood why Evelyn Quarles was flustered on stage; playing mind games with someone like Nathalie was just asking for trouble.

*

On stage.

Evelyn Quarles forfeited, and the judges turned their hopeful gaze to Nathalie Quinlan, suppressing their excitement as they softly asked, ”Evelyn Quarles has forfeited, Nathalie, do you want to answer?”

There were dozens of people on stage, he didn’t look at anyone else, including Caryn Zachmann, directly asking Nathalie.

Only then did Nathalie stir, lifting her head to reveal her overly delicate face, raising her eyebrows as if slow to react, and finally meeting the judges’ expectant eyes, her voice slightly hoarse, ”Oh, I don’t know this question.”

”...” Evelyn Quarles’s face suddenly changed, clenching her palm, staring at the girl behind her.

Not know?

She clearly wanted to answer just now.

Nathalie completely ignored her, coolly distant, with a restrained rogue aura, not as flamboyant as Evelyn Quarles, but still arrogant, her eyes incredibly black, utterly disheveled: ”Sorry, it’s just my first year, I haven’t been exposed to medical experiments yet, I don’t know about laboratory stuff.”

Her face sported an ’I truly don’t know’ candid expression, causing the judges to silently pause, accustomed to her dark horse-like incredible performances, momentarily unable to react.

But since Nathalie herself admitted to not knowing, the judge had nothing more to say: ”Alright, alright, it’s fine if you don’t know, I was just asking.”

He turned his head, then spoke to Adelle Wafford and the others: ”Since no one knows the last question, should we tally the scores for the second round?”

Tally the scores?

What need was there to tally, all the scores and rankings were displayed on the big screen, Nathalie was first, and the rest, including Evelyn Quarles, were suppressed and could not compete.

...

Scores for the first and second rounds were revealed, and the third round was merely a formality.

Nathalie’s performance was, beyond doubt, superb.

Almost all the judges gave her full marks.

points.

points.

Still 10 points.

Adelle Wafford, having seen the scores to the right and front, really wanted to give a lower score but felt helpless to change much, slowly lifting her own scoring paddle.

points.

Even though she gave 9 points, people still looked at her; she forcefully smiled and explained, ”I wanted to leave a little room for improvement with the last point.”

This explanation was quite forced, but since the final round depended on the average score from the judges, missing one point didn’t change much; the first place was unlikely to be affected. Even if her explanation was dry and her reasons tenuous, people merely looked at her, none interested in engaging further.

The rankings on the LED screen hanging in the venue displayed the final scores for the last time.

001, Nathalie Quinlan, Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, 97 points.

002, Evelyn Quarles, Overseas Medicine, 63 points.

003, Caryn Zachmann...

From third place onwards, the rest basically failed.

With the top score disdainfully towering over everyone, this year’s medical competition results were clear; the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department prevailed over all.

After the competition, there was a celebration luncheon organized by the Medical Association but Nathalie didn’t attend, having informed Winston Sullivan before leaving early.

Outside the venue, Alfred Garland and others were waiting for her.
