The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 922: Chapter 922: This Year’s Top and Bottom Students Have Been Predetermined

But seeing everyone else nodding as if it made perfect sense, he swallowed his anger and turned away, not wanting to argue with the woman.

He simply took out his phone and sent Nathalie Quinlan a message asking if she was up and not to feel pressured.

...

Inside the airport, a group of people with blonde hair and blue eyes majestically disembarked from an international flight.

Apart from Master Carloska, who has risen to fame in the international medical community, there was a girl about eighteen or nineteen by his side. Unlike the others, with their distinct foreign features of blonde hair and blue eyes, the girl had black hair and yellow skin, obviously a domestic look.

Her facial features were quite nice, and she carried herself with an air of arrogance.

The group attracted the attention of many in the terminal building.

But they didn’t seem to care much.

The girl, even more so, walked with her hands behind her back, looking like she didn’t regard anyone highly.

”I looked at the list for this competition, and it’s the same people, no other schools have students of note participating. The only one from Qing University who signed up this year is Caryn Zachmann. You should keep an eye on her; she’s won quite a few international awards under Adelle Wafford’s name. Even though it’s in name only, she must be somewhat capable,” said Master Carlo in a soft voice to the girl.

Evelyn Quarles, fiddling with her phone, didn’t take his words to heart and replied with a scornful look, ”I got it. Just Caryn Zachmann, right?”

”Not exactly,” said the elder with a broad nose and deep-set eyes, walking beside her. Remembering something with a smile, he added, ”There’s another one.”

The girl put down her phone, her eyes and eyebrows exuding defiance, ”Another one? Since when did so many noteworthy people emerge from domestic medicine?”

Western medicine was introduced from overseas to the domestic shores, starting two hundred years later than overseas. Even though the pace of domestic Western medicine has been rapid in recent years, producing a few core figures like Adelle Wafford, it’s still just that. In the international Medical Association, it’s still the people from overseas who dominate. Even domestic experts like Adelle Wafford only hold a nominal membership in the association. If we talk about who could be called by name, there’s only Mr. Avalon...

That person is also one of the honorary chairmen of the international Medical Association.

But as for Chinese Medicine... Evelyn Quarles didn’t care for it!

”What’s that person’s name?” Evelyn Quarles asked with rare interest.

She had taken the first place in the medical competition for three years and was aiming for it this year as well. She didn’t think anyone could compete with her but was just curious.

”Her name is... Nathalie Quinlan.” The elder thought for a while before remembering, and as they walked, he said, ”This one is quite interesting. She’s the slot reported by the Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department this year.”

”A student from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department?” As soon as Evelyn Quarles heard it was someone from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, she instantly lost interest: ”Oh, then there’s nothing worth noting.”

”No, the reason I brought her up is different from Caryn Zachmann, she’s...quite interesting. It’s said she’s a freshman this year. The Traditional Chinese Medicine Department couldn’t find anyone to participate and hadn’t even started enrollment for freshmen yet, so they had to find a new student to compete.”

”Ha?” Evelyn Quarles took that in and then scoffed with sarcastic laughter, ”It looks like the first and the last place in the competition this year are already set. As for the second place...”

She smiled, not taking anyone seriously, ”I think Caryn Zachmann is not bad, I guess she could snatch this year’s second place.”

She used the word ’snatch’ for second place, showing her level of arrogance!

Nathalie Quinlan was going to participate in the competition, and Govert Griffin, Sadam Vinson, and a few others all went.
