The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 918: Chapter 918: Rest assured, I will soon have her underfoot.

Stewin Hoffman hummed in agreement, nodded, and then added after thinking for a bit, ”The representative from the Chinese Medicine department this year is Nathalie Quinlan, and it seems like Caryn Zachmann is the one from the Clinical department. This year’s competition in the Medical Department is going to be interesting to watch.”

Nathalie Quinlan, Caryn Zachmann... These two names together made Zeus Tanzil involuntarily recall the scene from Shawn Norton’s birthday party. He suddenly couldn’t sit still, stood up, and picked up his phone from the bed, saying, ”I’m going to make a phone call outside.”

The others teased him about being unable to keep calm at the mention of his goddess.

Zayn Fisher, on the other hand, had no mood to join in the laughter, nor could he manage to. His fingers were absentmindedly tapping on the Student Union’s document, his attention clearly elsewhere.

He hadn’t expected Nathalie Quinlan to actually agree to participate in the competition. Her competing alongside Caryn Zachmann would be like an egg smashing against a rock, bound to be embarrassing, right?

His mind was restless, yet he didn’t even know what he was annoyed about. Just then, his phone, placed to the side, lit up.

Zayn Fisher picked up his phone to see.

It was a message from Ghania Quinlan.

[Zayn, did you hear that Nathalie Quinlan is going to participate in the medical competition? Isn’t she not officially enrolled yet? Can she even participate in this competition?]

In the past, he would’ve thought messages like this were just Ghania Quinlan being overly curious, nothing more.

But now, when he saw the message from Ghania Quinlan asking for his input, he couldn’t help but recall her involvement with hiring an online Water Army.

Ever since that incident, he hadn’t met up with Ghania Quinlan for a long time. Occasionally, Ghania Quinlan would give him a phone call, and neither brought up the incident, as if it had never happened.

As he read the message from Ghania Quinlan, his brows knitted tightly together. Holding his phone, he directly replied: [Mind your own business, and stop meddling in others’ affairs.]

After replying to the message, he tossed the phone onto the table with a loud smack. Everyone in the dorm looked his way, but Zayn Fisher was too preoccupied to care, his brows furrowed low, his face displaying a gloomy expression, appearing to have refocused his attention on the Student Union’s work...

Even though the others knew he was in a bad mood, after the dramatic events that day, they didn’t want to provoke Zayn Fisher, who was not Zeus Tanzil. They pretended not to notice, exchanged glances, and acted as if the noise had never happened, continuing their discussion about the latest gaming gossip.

Meanwhile, at the Zachmann Family home.

Caryn Zachmann also learned from Adelle Wafford that Nathalie Quinlan would be joining her to represent Tsinghua University in the upcoming medical competition.

She disdainfully tossed her phone onto the bed, then took a shower.

Just then, Celine Tucker came in to bring her some soup. Seeing Caryn Zachmann coming out of the shower, Celine Tucker placed the soup bowl on the desk in the bedroom.

Celine Tucker, remembering the incident from earlier in the day when Caryn Zachmann came out of the bathroom, couldn’t help but ask, ”Caryn, have you asked Mr. Vinson about it? What exactly happened?”

Today Sadam Vinson had been anything but respectful to her, not giving her any face as an elder and speaking in a particularly mean and unpleasant tone.

Caryn Zachmann heard from her about the hotel booking for Nathalie Quinlan upon returning home. Setting down the towel with which she was drying her hair, she said with an indifferent face, ”...It was out of respect for Amadeus.”

Celine Tucker also believed that Sadam Vinson wouldn’t have given face to Nathalie Quinlan. Her expression brightened a bit, and looking back at Caryn, she lowered her voice and said, ”Before, when she was in McKinney, we could pretend she didn’t exist. But now that she has come to Beijing to study, you need to put up a good fight. Don’t let your grandfather think less of us.”

”There can be only one Zachmann Family!”

And in the younger generation, there could only be one successor to the Zachmann Family!

Caryn Zachmann understood her meaning very well, her eyes and brows extremely cold. She tossed the towel onto the chair back, sneering as she said, ”Don’t worry, I will soon trample her underfoot and show everyone in Beijing who really represents the Zachmann Family!”
