The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 934: Chapter 934: Nathalie is Timid, Shy Around Strangers

He thought Ms. Quinlan was just vying to avoid being last, but who knew she would beat Evelyn Quarles.

From being the dark horse in last place, she shot up to the first rank on the first page.

Alfred Garland felt a bit dizzy at this moment, his expression slightly crumbling. He took a deep breath and decidedly said to Sadam Vinson, ”Ah, Ms. Quinlan didn’t finish reading Mr. Avalon’s introductory book at breakfast. She told me herself that she didn’t finish it.”

Couldn’t finish it and still come out first???

Sadam Vinson: ”...”

Govert Griffin behind him: ”...”

Both virtually turned their heads at the same time to look towards the composed man nearby, recalling the time when Nathalie Quinlan first came to Beijing, and Amadeus Yancey asked them to take care of her.

— I have a sister coming over from McKinney, she’s timid and shy, take care of her.

Damn sister!

The second round started quickly, and the enthusiasm in the venue was completely ignited. In previous years, the audience would be dozing off by now, waiting for Master Carloska representing the international medical field to take the win. However, this year, due to the emergence of Nathalie Quinlan, the dark horse, everyone was passionately focused on the big screen, constantly monitoring the score changes.

The venue cameras were also very thoughtful, mainly focusing close-ups on Evelyn Quarles and Nathalie Quinlan, leaving Caryn Zachmann with very few shots.

Only occasionally, by accident when shooting wide shots, would they capture Caryn Zachmann, otherwise, she was completely out of sight.

The second round was an individual quick-response.

Compared to the visibly serious Evelyn Quarles, Nathalie Quinlan still had that casual expression, if not for Alfred Garland knowing she had been seriously studying upstairs all week, he might have thought she didn’t care about the competition.

The quick-response questions in the second round were read out one after another by the judges, with a simple rule: whoever responds the fastest and correctly scores points.

Of course, to prevent students from randomly pressing the buzzer, there would be a deduction for wrong answers, and anyone who answered incorrectly three times in a row would be disqualified from the second round of the competition.

So without being sure, no one dared to rashly press the buzzer.

At the start of the gunshot, Evelyn Quarles tightened up, prepared to take the lead again in the second round.

With the first question, while she was still contemplating the answer, Nathalie Quinlan scored.

With the second question, she rallied all her brain cells, trying to speed up, but Nathalie Quinlan still took the points with her quick response.

The third question...

If the first round was about doing papers, be it Evelyn Quarles or Caryn Zachmann, there was still room to perform.

However, the second round put everyone together to compete face to face, and it clearly became Nathalie Quinlan’s solo show.

All attention and cameras were focused on the girl on the stage alone; she dressed simply, in a long-sleeved T-shirt and jeans, stepping on a pair of black high-top Converse canvas shoes. Her legs wrapped in jeans, long and straight, were particularly eye-catching.

Besides that, there was the duckbill cap on her hair, slightly covering her delicate face.

Nathalie Quinlan, with hardly any surplus expressions or movements, always pressed the button a step ahead of everyone else as soon as the judges finished reading the questions, and answered.

Her position on the stage was towards the back, unlike Caryn Zachmann and Evelyn Quarles in the front row, so the cameras couldn’t capture her very well.

Nathalie Quinlan’s unhurried voice, however, spread throughout the venue.

”This catheter for surgery is inserted too deep, mistakenly entering the main bronchus. The insertion depth should be 4-5cm, with the catheter tip being 18-22cm away from the teeth.”
