The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 927: Chapter 927: A Close-Up Specifically for the Last Place

Evelyn Quarles saw Caryn Zachmann’s face color looking terrible, but didn’t forget to arrogantly add another sentence.

”Tsk, tsk, the last place is also a first place, isn’t it?”

Hurling these words, she directly went up on stage.

Caryn Zachmann glanced at the time on her watch. Five minutes left, she kept a stern face, suppressed the annoyance in her eyes, and followed onto the stage.

*

Three minutes to nine twenty-seven, and in three minutes this year’s medical competition would begin.

At the front commentary desk, Giordano Yancey, Shawn Norton, Mr. Avalon, and the oversea’s representative Master Carlo sat in a row, with the rest like Adelle Wafford, Winston Sullivan, etc., taking seats on both sides.

As the participating students went up on stage and found their respective positions, they were preparing for the assessment.

Winston Sullivan’s gaze was anxiously searching the stage, but he just couldn’t see the figure he wanted to see. He suppressed the urgency in his eyebrows and quietly said to Mr. Avalon, ”Mr. Avalon, I see that nearly all the students are in place, how come Nathalie Quinlan hasn’t arrived yet, could it be that...”

He feared that she couldn’t bear the pressure and had run away.

Unexpectedly, before he could finish speaking, he saw Nathalie slowly walking towards an empty spot. The black long-sleeved T-shirt worn on her body indistinctly exuded a brisk coolness. She pressed down the brim of the cap, covering that overly delicate face, which looked rather ordinary, yet caught people’s attention.

Nathalie Quinlan had gone up on stage!

Winston Sullivan’s heart settled back down, and he returned to his seat.

...

The rules of the medical competition were simple, divided into three parts. The first part was individual scoring, which involved administering a set of questions. Students would answer the questions on computers provided at the venue, and the computers would give or deduct points directly based on the correct answers preset in the background. These scores were updated in real-time on a huge LED screen above the venue.

The second part was a quick-response section, which consisted of questions prepared in advance by the Medical Association. The competition involved real-time questioning to see who could answer first. Correct answers added points, wrong ones deducted points, and three wrong responses meant losing the eligibility for that round.

The last part was the judges’ scoring. This was mainly about the judges giving a comprehensive score based on the students’ performances, roughly around ten points, also to give these medical authorities some face.

The final ranking was the composite score + the individual accumulated score.

With Nathalie Quinlan only arriving in the last three minutes, the reporters first gave a close-up to Caryn Zachmann and Evelyn Quarles, who were the hot favorites of this competition.

Then, they silently gave a close-up to Nathalie.

This year’s top scholar in the college entrance examination and very likely to be the last place in this medical competition, deserved a spotlight.

The big screen in the venue projected a close-up of the girl’s face.

Perhaps she was aware of being filmed straight in the face, Nathalie keenly noticed the camera’s position, raised her head, and glanced toward the lens direction.

Just one glance, and everyone in the venue clearly saw the eye-catching, excessively delicate facial features under her duckbill cap.

Beautiful!

Excessively beautiful!

Even if the girl’s outfit was very casual and even a bit gender-neutral, it couldn’t hide her 360° dead-angle-free beauty.

As Nathalie’s face was close-up on the big screen, it immediately provoked a lot of discussion in the venue.

Sadam Vinson clicked his tongue, unsurprised, glanced at someone, and stretched his long legs so far they nearly reached the row in front: ”With Nathalie’s looks, not to brag, but if she entered the entertainment circle, she’d absolutely kill the camera game, truly beautiful!”

Amadeus Yancey also saw the girl’s furrowed brows on the LED screen, pulled down the cap brim, and again avoided the lens. He smiled slightly, with a deep look in his eyes: ”She won’t enter the entertainment circle.”
