The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 900: Chapter 900: The Spot Given to Caryn Zachmann

Just as Adelle Wafford said, in previous years, the first place in this competition had always been won domestically. However, once the genius student Evelyn Quarles from an international school appeared, the domestic teams have been continuously suppressed.

Second place sounds good, but it’s still not first.

Moreover, each time they take first place, they brag about it on social media, roughly saying that the competition is boring every year and that there are no challengers.

It’s not hugely damaging, but extremely insulting.

No wonder the Medical Association said this year that we must take back first place!

Who wouldn’t want to fight for that?

As soon as Adelle Wafford said this, several team members were eager and enthusiastic, their eyes shining with the desire to participate.

Caryn Zachmann didn’t speak, a faint and subtle sneer playing around her lips.

Typical.

After Adelle Wafford took out the document, she scanned the group and then said, ”Our clinical department has a slot this year. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to let Caryn go.”

She announced that she was giving the only slot to Caryn Zachmann, not caring whether the others were willing, handed the form directly to Caryn, patted her shoulder earnestly and said, ”This is an opportunity, you must grasp it well. Your professional knowledge is sound, and if you can take back first place from abroad, it would be a tremendous honor...”

The domestic medical community has tolerated this for three years.

Sadly, among the younger generation of students, there isn’t anyone who can match their talents, and the older generation wouldn’t step forward to compete with the younger.

Every year, taking second place domestically only means silently enduring others’ boasts and facing humiliation on social platforms.

It truly seems like there’s no solution!

If Caryn Zachmann can take back first place this time, it would indeed be a great honor, making the phrase ”winning glory for our country” not an overstatement.

Under everyone’s gaze, Caryn Zachmann calmly took the application form from Adelle Wafford, smiled, and confidently said, ”Teacher, rest assured, I won’t let you down. This time, I am determined to win first place!”

”Uh-huh!” Adelle Wafford smiled too, her shoulders relaxing, but she kept her hand on Caryn’s shoulder, offering a well-meaning reminder, ”You are the top student I have mentored this year, I absolutely believe in your abilities, but...”

Adelle Wafford’s tone shifted, and she seemed a bit pained, ”But the level of medicine in our country is still not as good as abroad, especially in clinical practices. I have some fame domestically, but internationally it’s another story. Don’t underestimate the opposition; Evelyn Quarles has won first place for three years straight and she’s a student of Master Carlo.”

Carloska is a world-renowned medical master, one of the honorary chairpersons of the International Medical Association, and also a member of the Nobel Committee, responsible for evaluating and presenting the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine each year.

In the domestic medical community, only Mr. Avalon can be considered comparable to him.

One is a master of Western medicine, and the other a master of Chinese Medicine.

The relationship between the two has always been very average, even cold, and Carlo holds a great deal of hostility towards Chinese Medicine, often publishing insulting remarks about Chinese Medicine in internationally renowned journals, such as considering it a product of mystification, and attacking it as ignorant...

Adelle Wafford also dislikes Carlo and his student Evelyn Quarles’ arrogant attitude towards domestic medicine.

But when it comes to criticizing Chinese Medicine, she secretly agrees with the opposing view that Chinese Medicine is useless.
