The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 904: Chapter 904: Slap the Face Right Back!

”Exactly, if Nathalie is going to stay somewhere, it wouldn’t be a four-star hotel but at least the Four Seasons Hotel, right? I haven’t heard that the Zachmann Family is in such dire need of money.”

Sadam Vinson put his hand at the back of his head, his tone slightly mocking as he interrupted. While glancing at Celine Tucker, he didn’t explicitly aim his words at her, but the irony was rich in his speech - if not at Celine, then who else?

Celine Tucker’s face could barely hold up, still she tried to quietly refute, ”It’s not about money, it’s mainly because that hotel is closer to home, convenient for us to take care of Nathalie...”

Sadam Vinson and others hadn’t left, and Govert Griffin, who always tried to avoid offending people, didn’t leave either, especially since Celine Tucker is Caryn Zachmann’s mother.

Under normal circumstances, even if such situations arose, he would feign ignorance and look away, but this time he made his stance quite clear, smiling and continuing the conversation: ”Mrs. Zachmann, I remember there’s a hotel not far from The Zachmanns’ Mansion... the Waldorf.”

”You probably don’t stay in hotels often, you might not have noticed that one, it’s not too far from the business hotel you mentioned...”

How could Celine only see a business hotel and not notice a five-star hotel right next to it?

Govert’s words seemed light but disgustingly effective!

Upon hearing this, Sadam Vinson laughed and chimed in from the side: ”Yes, if you’re staying in a hotel, it should be the Four Seasons or at least the Waldorf or something luxurious, not some business hotel, it’s quite irritating.”

The most ordinary room at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing costs at least 50,000 a night, not to mention the better ones!

That’s not a place where just anyone can stay!

As for the Waldorf Govert mentioned, it’s also pricey, not up to 50,000 a night, but at least five figures.

Of course, the official website of the hotel lists room prices generally from 7,000 to 8,000, but if you think that’s the price you’ll pay, you’re being naive.

Booking online, nine times out of ten, customer service will tell you there are no rooms.

To book one of these hotels in Beijing, you actually have to make a phone call, and only with some connections you can get in.

”A business hotel is indeed subpar.” Govert couldn’t help but add another comment.

”...” Celine Tucker’s face turned slightly flushed, fully aware that the two were jeering at her, yet she couldn’t find words to respond immediately.

What could she say? Pull out the excuse again that the business hotel is close to home?

Govert has already mentioned, there’s a Waldorf right next to the business hotel, just down the street - wouldn’t that be her contradicting herself?

Celine stood there dumbfounded, as if nailed to the spot, the situation so awkward she wanted to just walk away, but facing such a crowd, none of whom she could afford to offend, would only make her more embarrassed!

Thus, although she couldn’t manage even a pretense of a face-saving expression, she had no choice but to stiffly stand her ground, enduring the ordeal.

”Let’s book the Waldorf then, I’ll make a phone call to the hotel later...”

Leonardy Zachmann truly hadn’t noticed which hotels were near their house, really thinking, as Celine said, there’s just a four-star business hotel nearby.

Although he felt embarrassed when exposed by Govert, his usually calm and gentle demeanor helped him manage better than Celine, quickly changing his tone, his eyes kindly meeting Nathalie’s: ”Nathalie, if there’s no room in the hotel you originally booked, let’s book this one. We can stay temporarily for one night, and see how your grandfather feels when he sobers up, is that alright?”
