The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 905: Chapter 905: Don’t Mess With Me, Amadeus!

The words Amadeus Yancey just said to him, he wasn’t deaf, he heard them.

But he didn’t agree at all.

How old was Nathalie Quinlan really?

She was just a few months shy of 19, having just finished her college entrance exams, and hadn’t even started university.

He vaguely remembered the elder Mr. Zachmann mentioning the marriage contract between the Yancey and Quinlan families, but it was vague. All the elder said was that there was such an agreement, he didn’t go into specifics with him.

In Leonardy Zachmann’s eyes, regardless of whether there was a marriage contract between Nathalie and Amadeus, living together was too premature.

Nathalie hadn’t had the chance to reply to him, when her phone rang again—it was Tsinghua University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department calling once more, obviously because she hadn’t answered earlier, and they were trying again.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she turned to the man beside her and said, ”I need to take a call, wait for me a moment.”

”Okay.” Amadeus Yancey held her, adjusted her hat for her, and then let go to allow her to leave.

Although Nathalie wasn’t used to showing particular intimacy with him in public, she didn’t resist and let him fix her hat.

After he let go, she raised her head and politely explained to Leonardy Zachmann, ”It’s a call from school, they seem to have something urgent, I’ll go take it. As for where to stay... can we talk about that when I get back?”

The attitude wasn’t exceptionally good, but it was already very decent.

It was obvious that she had a lot of respect for Leonardy Zachmann deep down.

Leonardy Zachmann, already feeling guilt towards her, could only agree when the girl politely explained to him, nodding his head, ”No worries, Nathalie, go take your call first, this matter isn’t urgent.”

”Okay.”

Nathalie gave him a look, her clear black-and-white eyes were quite pure, and only after explaining did she lift her leg and walk to the side, picking up her phone and placing it to her ear, ”Hello.”

...

”Mm, just finished eating, wasn’t convenient to answer... ah... I have time, you say...”

The girl’s slightly hoarse voice faded away.

Amadeus Yancey watched her walk to the side to take the call, the gentleness on his face visibly retracting, leaving only a chilling hardness.

”Nathalie Quinlan won’t be staying at a hotel in Beijing.”

His tone was mild, but his manner was very domineering.

Leonardy Zachmann lifted his gaze, his eyelids twitched, just about to speak.

Amadeus, as if he knew what he was about to say, cut him off before he could speak, ”I’ve already discussed this with her in person, she has no objections. As for Mr. Zachmann... I’ll personally make a phone call to discuss it with him after he sobers up.”

Clearly, he did not care for anyone’s opinion in the Zachmann Family except Ericko!

The waters of Beijing are deep.

Half of those waters belong to the Yancey Family, unfathomably deep.

And within the Yancey Family, it’s Amadeus Yancey alone who holds the power of The Ninth Institute at such a young age and is not to be trifled with.

Let alone someone like Leonardy Zachmann who, even with Mr. Zachmann’s backing, at his age has had a steady but unremarkable career, without any particular distinction.

Even Myles Sullivan, one of the more successful among their generation, would have to approach the young man before him with caution, toning down their presence, being careful with their interaction.

Perhaps only the older generation like Mr. Yancey and Mr. Wilmar could be on equal footing with Amadeus Yancey and push back a bit.

Amadeus Yancey bluntly put his point forward, and even though Leonardy Zachmann might not agree with it privately, he dared not retort with a stiff face.

He didn’t dare to speak up, and Celine Tucker, standing beside him, was even less likely to say anything.

Indeed, Celine Tucker’s recent words about ’Nathalie staying at a business hotel’ had infuriated Amadeus. He caressed the edges of his phone, casting a seemingly inadvertent glance at Celine, his tone low and grave as he said, ”Even if she doesn’t stay at my place, she won’t lack a place to stay. The Yancey Family has plenty of rooms; if she’s willing to stay, my family’s elder would surely welcome her with open arms!”
