The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 924: Chapter 924: It is said that a heavyweight guest will come.

At 9:15 am, the audience that came later began filing into the venue, filling the previously empty seats.

Sadam Vinson was becoming somewhat impatient, he lifted his head and asked Govert Griffin, who sat behind him, ”It’s only fifteen minutes until the start, how come the judges haven’t arrived yet?”

Since it is a medical competition, naturally, there is a panel of judges. This year’s panel had a few more members than in previous years, and the guests invited to present the awards were said to be of even more distinguished status.

Sadam Vinson had not paid attention to these competitions before and did not care who the award-presenting guests from abroad were in past years. He was here only for Nathalie Quinlan this year; otherwise, he wouldn’t have come at all.

Watching a medical competition, he might as well go back and play a game to relax.

While Sadam Vinson was growing various shades of impatient, Govert Griffin was calm and collected, sitting in the back, he shook his head with a bewildered face, ”I don’t know, haven’t heard anything.”

He asked in a hushed tone, ”Mr. Vinson, do you want me to go and find out?”

It wasn’t a big deal anyway.

Sadam Vinson had casually asked him out of simple boredom, and seeing that he didn’t know, he slouched back onto the stands and glanced at the man next to him, who remained cool and composed, ”Never mind, no need to find out now. There are still ten minutes left before it starts, and if they don’t arrive soon, they’ll need to take their seats a few minutes before it begins. We’ll know who it is when they show up.”

”That makes sense.” Govert Griffin saw that he indeed was just asking casually and sat back down.

Sadam Vinson waited a few more minutes, and at 9:20, there was finally some movement at the entrance of the venue, and it seemed like someone was coming.

He lifted his head to look towards the source of the noise and quickly saw about a dozen security personnel escorting a group of people into the venue.

Leading the group was an elderly man with blonde hair and blue eyes, sharp facial features, dressed in a white shirt and white trousers, exuding the air of a commanding teacher.

A few familiar faces followed.

Adelle Wafford, Winston Sullivan, and others, whom Sadam Vinson recognized.

Especially Adelle Wafford, as Caryn Zachmann’s teacher, she was a well-known neurosurgery authority in Beijing and had a certain reputation in the circle. Caryn Zachmann would sometimes mention things about her teacher while hanging out with them.

Sadam Vinson could say he was as familiar with Adelle Wafford as one could be.

Behind them were several other people, all dressed in formal attire, probably all members of the Medical Association.

Sadam Vinson peered down for a long time but didn’t see any ’heavyweight award-presenting guest,’ and puzzled, he turned his head and muttered, ”The people have all arrived, but aside from that foreign representative, the Master Karol or something, I haven’t seen any distinguished guests.”

He had originally guessed that Mr. Avalon would be the so-called heavyweight guest.

In the past medical competitions, Mr. Avalon, due to health reasons, had not participated in the judging. This year, with the Chinese Medicine department participating in the competition, Mr. Avalon was very likely to make an appearance.

Govert Griffin and Alfred Garland also showed surprised expressions.

Only Amadeus Yancey seemed to know something, his demeanor indifferent, his shoulders leaned back, and his fingers fiddled with his phone, hesitating whether to send a message to the girl.

Sadam Vinson, with keen eyes, caught his movements, opened his mouth and just asked, ”Amadeus, do you know some inside information? Who is coming this year?”

Amadeus Yancey lifted his eyelids indifferently and had not yet replied.

There was another commotion at the entrance of the venue.

While Adelle Wafford and others had already taken their seats, three people entered the venue under the escort of the security staff.

Both Shawn Norton and Mr. Avalon were top authorities in their respective fields, yet the person in the middle drew the most attention, wearing a crisp Tang costume, his age apparent, yet with an undeniable spirit of vigor and authority about him, his eyes seasoned with the wisdom of the years, holding a restrained sharpness.
