The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 926: Chapter 926: Full of Gunpowder as Soon as They Arrive

Caryn Zachmann stood out among the crowd like the moon surrounded by stars; her teacher was Adelle Wafford, who was also one of the judges for this competition. Everyone basically assumed that the medical competition was a contest between her and Evelyn Quarles, just waiting to see who would take first place.

There was a girl from Southern University who knew Caryn and was close to her, and she asked in a low voice, ”I heard that your school’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department also submitted an entry for the competition this year. Is it a freshman who came?”

The scale of Nathalie Quinlan’s college celebration was grand, but it mainly rattled the upper-class society. Students and others of the sort barely knew Nathalie Quinlan by name.

All they knew was that this rookie came with no small status, a valedictorian from the small place of McKinney.

”Has the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department gone mad? Even if they couldn’t find anyone else to compete, they shouldn’t have sent a freshman. I heard someone saw her reading entry-level medical books behind the scenes...”

Southern University and Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department have always been top contenders in the national college rankings. Although there is competition on regular days, in this competition, everyone belongs to domestic medicine and didn’t want to be looked down upon by overseas viewers!

Under such circumstances, Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department sent a rookie to compete, and no one felt comfortable with that.

”It looks like the last place for this year’s competition is already set in stone,” the girl from Southern University muttered, whispering, ”Moreover, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department isn’t related to the clinical department. At least they carry the name of the school, but this year Qing University is going to set a new low for the worst performance in its history!”

Caryn Zachmann’s expression was one of extreme indifference from beginning to end, not interjecting, simply standing there listening to what was being said, occasionally arrogantly flipping her hair close to her ears. Her beautiful, outstanding face bore a cold and proud look, seemingly too disdainful even to mention Nathalie Qiao’s name.

Only when the overseas representatives appeared backstage did some slight ripples emerge in her otherwise undisturbed eyes.

The girl’s domineering presence at the airport was no different; she arrived just ten minutes early and didn’t even bother to look properly at those who were about to compete against her.

Walking straight over and stopping in front of Caryn Zachmann, she tilted her head and sized up Caryn with clear black and white eyes, asking, ”Are you that Caryn Zachmann from Tsinghua?”

Such a tone was truly not polite!

Caryn Zachmann was an esteemed figure in the Beijing circle as well, rarely spoken to with such attitude face to face. Especially since she was a student of Adelle Wafford, she stood out among her peers in the medical field. She slightly lifted her chin in defiance, not conceding any ground, ”You are a student of Master Carlo?”

Evelyn Quarles smirked, finding her pretentious, but didn’t bother with pleasantries, arrogantly tossing her words, ”The competition starts in five minutes, I’ll congratulate you in advance for winning second place this year. As for first, I will unapologetically take that. After all, since I am participating, there’s no chance for domestic contenders to win the award. You all will have to strive for it next year.”

Not to mention Caryn Zachmann, who was furious at being confronted head-on, the other students participating were fuming with anger, unable to suppress their rage.

Such arrogance!

More arrogant with each passing year.

If they lose the first place to them again this year, no one knows how this Evelyn Quarles would bad-mouth domestic medicine on Instagram.

But their teacher is one of the honorary chairpersons of the International Medical Association, a genuine leader in the medical community. For all their anger, they knew Evelyn Quarles had the strength to back it up. When she said she would take it, there was a real chance she might actually win first place.

”Oh, you can take first place too, this year’s bottom first place. Isn’t it monopolized by your school’s Chinese Medicine Department?”
