Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The Sia Tower fell into an eerie silence.

Clearly, everyone’s attention was on that White Tower... but no one dared to speak.

Even the group from the Black Tower, who were a bit reckless, had disappeared during this period.

Neither appearing outside the beautiful Grey Tower of Gilbert, which was under attack, nor as everyone expected, causing trouble for Delphus.

Not even approaching Delphus to discuss those two powerful War Machines that were obviously from the Defense Tower.

In truth, there were quite a few interested parties.

But, no one dared to be the first to make a move.

Ironically, Lady Sia of the White Tower remained completely silent... the crescent moon that shattered that day has also not risen again.

Despite their greed, the mages of Sia Tower were still mages, and in such a somewhat frightening time, they all chose to wait and see.

Inside the Sia Tower, only the Nicholson side could still calmly build their territory and Magic Tower.

Nicholson’s students, descendants, and subordinates always maintained a sense of calm amidst the chaos, as long as the enemy didn’t knock on their door, they could continue living their trivial lives.

Although most of the mages from Sia Tower found them amazing, they couldn’t be bothered to observe these creatures entirely different from themselves at the moment.

The spotlight on Delphus attracted all the attention.

But also because of this focused state, the magic tower around Delphus was completely silent for miles, no one dared to visit.

No one wished to become everyone’s target before they even got hold of the good stuff.

Ironically, Delphus was treated as a temporary storage box... after all, he’s the easiest to make excuses for dealing with, and he was living quite freely.

Of course, there was still a bit of movement in another area of Sia Tower.

Mage Gilbert Hainarson also flew out from his grey-purple Magic Tower, beginning a large-scale renovation.

Although he activated rather strong defenses... not only regional protection for the Magic Tower, but a sky full of birds obstructed all eyes from looking at him.

Clearly, this period of being attacked led the archmage, who had been selling puppet birds, to decide to use all pre-prepared goods directly.

This guy always completes a batch of finished products before taking orders, so it doesn’t really have much negative impact.

Anyway, he has publicly declared that he would no longer trade with anyone outside the Ruth Faction.

Even those from the Nicholson Faction of the Tower of Dark Enigma were resolutely refused, and there wasn’t much to say about Sia Tower.

After all, the doer Delphus was still squatting comfortably in his Magic Tower!

The unexpected silence of the White Tower and Black Tower on this matter obviously left the mages of the Tower of Dark Enigma quite dissatisfied.

Aislin and Oliva, who always enjoyed interacting with mages from various factions of Sia Tower, have not gone out recently.

Especially Aislin, who had a good relationship with Rosero.

Her identity is, in fact, an open secret... definitely a pawn of the White Tower.

While Ruth allowed her to follow him and act freely within Sia Tower, it indirectly demonstrated his sincerity of submission to Sia Tower.

However, this Aislin is now openly locked up in Ruth’s Magic Tower.

Although nominally, Archmage Ruth has given her a lot of assignments... what Eighth Ring Mage still needs to study like an apprentice under a teacher’s monitoring!

Besides, what can she study?

An Eighth Ring Mage must delve into the law they resonate with, what’s the point of studying anything else?

-----------------

”Aislin that fool!”

Hilbert looked coldly at Oliva, who was spouting nonsense beside him.

”Gilbert! Do you think she’s stupid?” Oliva was careless about Hilbert holding a shiny golden small carving knife, whose fingers tingled slightly as if wanting to throw the knife at this annoying fellow distracting him from repairing the Magic Tower.

He sat frustrated on the exposed wall outside the Magic Tower: ”Knowing the teacher is absorbed in those fresh books recently, yet she delivers herself right up!

Doesn’t she consider those of us who don’t want to study?

Those books... I don’t want to read them at all!

They’re not even proper Magic Books.”

Hilbert earnestly rolled his eyes: ”Oh~ you’re the one who needs to read more books.”

Reading can impart wisdom, reading can convey knowledge, reading can lock up fools, to reduce pointless talks!

Oliva complained: ”You, how can you be so indifferent to someone visiting you with good intentions?”

Though he couldn’t quite understand Gilbert’s words, based on his usual interactions with Gilbert... this guy was definitely insulting him, else his tone wouldn’t be so sarcastic.

”Am I very idle?” Hilbert asked angrily, ”Are you too idle?”

”Archmage Karmante’s team will arrive in half a month,” Oliva spread his hands, ”For the half-month before that, I’m very idle.

The teacher said recently there’s bound to be a lot happening at Sia Tower and told me to behave and not go out.”

Hilbert’s eyes moved: ”You went outside? Which outside?

You sure didn’t go to Sia Town, did you?”

”You know, many mages here haven’t brought their families over.” Oliva nodded, ”So, of course I need to go outside to see, where is suitable for them to live in the future!

Even if we don’t come for a while, we have to mark our territory.

Otherwise, Nicholson over there definitely won’t be honest!

Hilbert turned his head to look at him: ”Great Magician Nicholson, did he bring a lot of ordinary people?”

”Mm!” Oliva pouted unhappily, ”You know what? I found out later, their airship didn’t even have a hall!

Each one divided into small compartments that can only fit one bed... The mages are fine, but those ordinary people, their compartments have triple-decked beds!

How did they come up with that?

No wonder their spaceship numbers are about the same as ours, but they’ve brought everyone along!

Really... Unbelievable.”

Hilbert didn’t need to imagine such a scene... he’d seen it enough before.

But he really hadn’t thought a mage would do that.

”The Nicholson Family...” he couldn’t help but say, hesitantly, ”quite united, huh~”

The arrogance of mages in this world, how much they disregard ordinary people, Hill wasn’t oblivious to it.

Many mages wouldn’t even let ordinary people outside their direct bloodline enter their territories.

To see them uniformly transform their expensive airship into transport machines really left Hill a bit surprised.

Especially since he already knew that ordinary people on Nicholson’s side were having a pretty tough life.

”Gilbert, don’t play dumb.” Oliva glanced at him lightly, ”Those who choose to leave their families at the Tower of Dark Enigma are the ones who truly care about them.

Who doesn’t know that, in the period after we come to Sia Tower, there will inevitably be mutual probing, mutual...

The first batch of ordinary people entering Sia Town, ha~

Who knows what they’ll encounter?”

”I just meant that I didn’t expect them to utilize their airship like this.” Hilbert smiled slightly.

Oliva laughed unbotheredly twice, ”Great Magician Nicholson gave them a subsidy.”

Hill couldn’t help but look at him.

It’s inevitable that Nicholson would provide a subsidy.

But, from Oliva’s words, he could hear that Nicholson nearly brought all the ordinary people from his faction along.

Moreover, they’ve essentially all arrived in Sia Town and have begun building their homes.

Otherwise, Oliva wouldn’t be rushing out to mark the land.

This means that, during this long journey, the ordinary people living alongside the mages didn’t consume much.

Truly cruel and cold-blooded people, those who really don’t see ordinary people as humans, couldn’t achieve this.

The slightest thing would make them rise up and kill.

Oliva, this guy is really just doing things on the surface!

Hill could guess that Archmage Ruth must secretly have students or subordinates who can get things done.

Otherwise, with just Oliva and Aislin, who apart from their loyalty have their own cerebral inadequacies, how could the Ruth Faction be this smooth?

But whatever the reason, for him to only use Oliva and Aislin openly... is quite cruel for this archmage.

Especially now that Aislin is unusable.

He couldn’t help but look into the distance... What is Koyl doing?

And what about Rojas?

Why is Oliva doing this kind of thing!

No, Ruth can’t not know some inside stories... so, isn’t the brainless Oliva even more useful?

Even if someone from Sia Tower could extract countless words from him, it wouldn’t be too helpful.

Moreover, Oliva is someone who has great faith in his own judgment.

After conversing with him, it’s likely their understanding of the Tower of Dark Enigma would have many interesting aspects.

”Since you’re so free... why don’t you help me repair the Magic Tower?” Hilbert pondered for a while, decided to temporarily give up discussing these matters with Oliva... what if he ended up making Oliva wise?

”Ah...no!” Oliva rose quickly, ”I just came to see you, to chat a bit.

If I have time for this, I’d rather go guide Rojas.

Lately, she’s been helping me handle a lot of trivial matters... A meticulous and patient Female Mage is so good!”

Oliva exclaimed with emotion: ”After being with Aislin for so long, I forget that women have their own special attributes.

Rojas’s students are also quite useful.”

Hill sneered: ”Don’t burden Rojas just to annoy Aislin.

That lady doesn’t owe you anything.”

”Hmm?” Oliva said puzzled, ”I value her a lot! Since when did I burden her?”

”When you use her excellence to belittle a powerful mage, you are harming her!” Hill said bluntly, ”Don’t do such disgusting things.”
