Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill knew very well that if Rojas was truly pushed into Aislin’s hands, Koyl would likely meet a terrible end.

Yet, the Tower of Dark Enigma is indeed a critical place!

It’s not just home to the Son of Fortune, but also a group of girls who might backstab humans.

Once one understands what a wonderful existence Rojas is, Hill could also see that when this existence is ruthlessly shattered, those who cherished this beauty would undoubtedly go mad, care for nothing.

With Russell on the left, and Rojas’s beautiful disciples on the right.

Hill couldn’t help but ponder: even if Glaysia tries to use Aislin to do something, it seems destined to fail completely.

After all, using only the original cast of this world, they could utterly annihilate the identity of ’Aislin’.

Even if Russell and Rojas’s disciples... no, Aislin would only completely offend Russell. Generally speaking, she wouldn’t proactively target women.

As the daughter of the Lord of Hell, Glaysia never believed her confidence stemmed from her appearance... or rather, Glaysia, who would fancy an ugly fat snake, definitely would not despise women more beautiful than she was like some goddesses do.

When Glaysia encountered a beauty, she’d only attempt to draw her into her court: even if some girls didn’t want to transform into Succubi, she didn’t mind.

As long as they served her dutifully and pleased her, Glaysia even inherited a bit of a virtue from her biological father, which counted as an advantage in Hell: anything her subordinates might do to themselves was fine, but outsiders couldn’t commit murder or arson in front of her or in her place.

Glaysia would still manage her own people; that was probably her only outward resemblance to her father.

In Glaysia’s Succubus Palace, there were all sorts of creatures... the only standard was beauty.

Of course, not all adhered to human standards of beauty.

Glaysia would not constantly dote on anyone, but if these beauties accepted their neglected fate, they could always remain in her court.

However, no matter how one puts it... whatever creature it is, as long as it has emotions, it’s hard to accept a fate going from heaven straight to hell, even if it was originally a Hell Creature.

The large number of new Succubi converted every year mostly came from those unwilling and then tempted by certain beings to do foolish things... although she would indeed protect these people, she also wouldn’t stop those enjoying toying with others’ hearts from teasing these beauties.

One can only say that in Hell, order is important, but the devils’ greatest delight is seeing others suffer misfortune for violating established order or contracts.

Thus, even with her memory restored and entirely in control of Aislin’s body, as long as Rojas and her students weren’t foolish enough to directly oppose her, ’Aislin’ would absolutely not pay them any attention.

At most, she might consider, once she held full power, bringing these little beauties into her harem.

Although Glaysia was wild and lawless, her innate princess character made her dismiss mortals... the consequences of offending her would be dire, but generally, if dust didn’t make its way to her feet, she wouldn’t bother with it.

Thus, the real enemies of this group of women... surely can’t be the Colorful Clothes Sect and Black Faction?

No, it’s not right.

Their existence indeed wouldn’t catch Glaysia’s attention.

But their kind of beauty would easily attract the lustful ones from the Colorful Clothes Sect, and their beautiful emotions easily drew attention from the Black Faction, where the Great Devils liked to crush beauty and torment pure souls.

If Ruth were leading a ragtag band arriving at Sia Tower due to various external factors, he certainly wouldn’t possess his current formidable momentum.

Hill had some understanding of Ruth too: he was indeed kind to his students and even to those from the Tower of Dark Enigma, but it would definitely not affect him.

So, if that were the result, Rojas would undoubtedly not have the opportunity she had today.

And hidden from the public eye, unable to stand out in crowds... those exceptionally beautiful girls, who weren’t even High-level, Rojas wished to protect them, the price would be unimaginable.

Moreover, if she really stood firmly before those girls... could she survive?

No matter which side, they wouldn’t let her go if she dared to block their way and potentially create trouble... what if she suddenly erupted and ascended to the Eighth Ring?

Eradicating the roots is always the most preferred outcome for those who commit evil deeds.

And those girls, who weren’t even Sixth Ring, weren’t worth anyone’s attention.

Yet, those who had lived in a brilliant light for so long, and watched it get ruthlessly crushed, could always erupt with unimaginable energy.

The despair of being forced into loss always drives one mad.

If she was a Vengeance Queen, she’d surely quickly draw the attention of the Princess of Hell.

She enjoyed such plays and was very willing to make these women, burning with the flames of vengeance, her most loyal subordinates.

It’s uncertain if due to a remnant mark of Battle Angel in her soul, Glaysia’s tastes were greatly influenced by those Avenging Angels who fought for years to protect Heavenly Mountain, clashing with devils, and later due to their dark and bloody image, with fangs showing at the corners of their mouths, were despised and ostracized by the Gods of Order.

Such a Glaysia would certainly shift most of her focus to the girls... whatever her initial target was, she would temporarily forget.

Once she’d done playing the Vengeance Queen game, presumably Fengo could find a way to contact Asmodeus to deal with the possibly troublesome Princess of Hell.

Indeed, a real father is always a real father!

Not only does he know his daughter inside out, but he also grants her complete trust... Glaysia dared to act because she sensed the Lord of Hell’s indulgence.

Then, when the moment arrived, he pondered over how best to distract Glaysia... even the choice of toys was meticulously considered.

These lovely young ladies will surely make Glaysia willing to stay in the palace for a while, even if punished.

Enough time for Asmodeus to complete his small goal.

Hill felt somewhat helpless, but what could he say!

Should he condemn Asmodeus for not treating people like people?

Well, he is the Lord of Hell, after all.

In that instant, Hill felt that his existence was quite valuable, at least sparing the world from numerous heartbreaking dramas and chaotic confusion.

Though he quickly discarded such savior-like sentiments... Life is already difficult enough when it comes to saving oneself and those one loves, he better not think too much.

Hill was never one who would willingly risk his life for others, otherwise, he wouldn’t respect those who do... the deeper his understanding of why he is this way, the greater his appreciation for the Saint’s value.

But, if an inadvertent wave of his hand could bring about a beautiful outcome, he wouldn’t mind being a bit happy.

”Do you think, if I secretly make my move, Rojas might turn to Aislin?” Koyl, who had been pondering Gilbert’s words, suddenly raised his head and asked, ”Impossible, right?

Listen, outsiders can’t see clearly, but among us at the Subsidiary Tower, if we can’t see the magnitude of Aislin’s change... ha, how can that be?”

”Rojas has something she wants to protect.” Hilbert said impatiently, ”I’ve told you, her goal is not the same as yours.

Oliva and Aislin will quickly understand, and by then, you’ll be their only common enemy.

Don’t think Oliva will respect the teacher’s words, letting you rise to power.

He also wants to know if you’re qualified to stand by his side.

Oliva is indeed a good person, but that’s for people like us who honestly stay behind him.

Like you...

Since you want to be noticed by him, you’ll have to endure his test.”

Needless to say for Aislin.

No matter her issues now, she is still the Eldest Martial Sister of the Ruth Faction.

As long as she doesn’t go overboard, Ruth will still let her test Koyl’s desire to ascend.

Seriously think anyone wishing to stand next to Oliva and Aislin only needs a glance from Ruth?

They indeed won’t defy Ruth’s will, but their tests certainly won’t be few.

Rojas’s small intentions will soon be discovered... Without Koyl, those two probably wouldn’t let her off so easily.

But, Koyl’s animosity is clearly greater.

Koyl finally understood.

He’s not truly foolish, just the impact of losing the trade route was too strong, making him a bit blinded by greed.

If Rojas just wants to protect someone or secure resources for someone, then her goal indeed differs from his desire for authority.

Clearly needing to resist the attacks of only two people, but for the sake of that little gain, he pulled Rojas from outside into the fray... Koyl shook his head, despite constantly warning himself not to become too joyous, he still lost his composure due to recent adulation.

Thankfully, Gilbert never pretends.

Given his willingness to form a temporary alliance with him, he wouldn’t watch him act foolishly... Koyl thought, the smartest thing he did was seizing the opportunity to cling to Gilbert’s leg.

Even though that guy probably doesn’t want to let him leverage his power, he doesn’t mind delivering a slap when he’s acting stupid.

That’s enough.

Resources and power can be fought for, but a friend who’s willing to slap sense into him is hard to find.

Just, if only those slaps could be a bit quieter, a bit less painful, it would be better.

However, looking up at Gilbert’s impatient face... Koyl knew he had no choice.
