Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Asmodeus left the possessed male mage without hesitation, not even caring that the sudden collapse of the body might arouse suspicion in others.

He would rather let this body be useless from now on than take a hit from the Scorching Radiance.

Even he could guess at this moment where the light-aligned creature that created such a special strange object came from, and whose subordinate it was.

Besides that Great Peacock, no Sun God would use the Gem of Chaos to play games!

That would be blasphemy!

Even that hypocritical Amanata wouldn’t allow his subordinates to touch the Abyss.

Though that guy’s character might not even be as good as some devils, he still strictly adheres to his bottom line.

Of course, most importantly, now Amanata doesn’t have that capability anyway.

In a flash, Asmodeus, who quickly escaped, and Hill downstairs shared a suspicion... Clearly, with so many Sun Gods in the Multiverse, no one considered anyone beyond those two in Toril.

No way, when it comes to the Sun, Moon, and Earth - these Three Gods are generally the most home-loving.

No matter how exciting the outside world is, they only peek out of their homes to watch but would never step out to partake in the spectacle.

Only in Toril, perhaps because both gods related to the Sun and Light originated from the foreign Eternal Flame, things are inherently abnormal.

When encountering similar matters, thinking about those two would never lead astray.

”Hm?” Hill couldn’t help but utter a questioning sound.

Although he always knew that Asmodeus’s luck wasn’t great, was he also extraordinarily unlucky?

Clearly, he was about to escape.

But because the male mage he possessed suddenly fell, even Delphus couldn’t help but turn around... Then the remaining force of the diamond directly followed his raised finger and rushed towards where it pointed:

Oro Cardenas, who was frozen there, was pulled by another male mage, but the golden flames still grazed past him.

His face now pale, he had finally turned dark this time.

His scream was very shrill, but to the onlookers, more terrifying was the inexplicable collapse of the male mage, swept by the blue-black Anti-Order Light and then the golden flames, which ignited in a blaze... What Delphus described, capable of dispelling the Magic Tower defensive magic arrays, was based on this Halo.

In this world, no matter how much one struggles, all are greatly influenced by devils, and all magic arrays, no matter how altered, have a core that can be followed.

Therefore, this Halo, which can disrupt all order, indeed deals the most damage to the Magic Tower system.

In other worlds, the reason it does not have such a large impact, one is that mages generally do not solely use the same system of magic arrays, another is that a diamond as large as a fist is not something just anyone can obtain.

And creating the Gem of Chaos, even for the top-level chaotic archmages, is difficult to succeed at once.

Used with such a big expense to create things, still probabilistic strange objects, are essentially used as a surprise force rather than for daily use.

That thing indeed has a usage limit.

Hitting the Lord of Hell with it is certainly excellent, but using it on a little fellow who isn’t even Legendary... There really aren’t many people that wealthy.

Hilbert gently waved his hand, dispersing the puppet bird flocks above the clouds.

He might be best off temporarily playing blind.

More than the onlookers at the tower top, he clearly understood what happened: Asmodeus couldn’t retreat safely.

Burned directly by the Scorching Radiance.

Originally, this Ninth Ring level spell was nothing much for Asmodeus, but before that, he had taken a hit from the Anti-Order Light.

He was still, in a phantom state.

Precisely the form most conducive for this spell to take effect.

Of course, what’s most frustrating is, despite being the last remaining force, theoretically, the probability of success for the Anti-Order Light should be slightly lower at this moment.

However, the Lord of Hell still took this blow akin to a Disintegration Spell to him solidly.

In contrast, under the blazing golden flames at the tower top stood unmovable the Magic Tower defensive aura.

Hilbert gently tidied up the hall, cautiously and lightly flying into his most isolated bedroom.

Though now he didn’t feel much life-threatening danger, yet he... truly did not wish to get struck because of such inexplicable troublesome matters!

”Ah... ah?” ’Aislin’ who was originally flying towards Gilbert Magic Tower suddenly paused in mid-air.

”Miss Aislin?” Rosero behind her asked puzzledly.

”Hmm... don’t ask what happened, and don’t investigate.” ’Aislin’ quickly turned her head, ”We can go back now!”

”What? Gilbert...”

”If Gilbert is dead, he’s dead, I still don’t want to die!” She directly turned and flew towards her own Magic Tower, ”If you want to die, then go on ahead!

Today was truly splendid!

Considering you’ve treated me fairly well lately, Rosero, I advise you to hurry back to the White Tower!

After all, you didn’t see anything, so you shouldn’t...”

Watching that hurried red figure, a glimmer flashed in Rosero’s eyes...Why can ’Aislin’ see what he cannot?

Is it a scene from a different dimension, or perhaps something related to the soul?

Although he has a fragment of the Princess of Hell’s soul, Rosero doesn’t believe that Glaysia would give her so much, even handing over her true essence.

With countless thoughts swirling in his mind, Rosero finally followed ’Aislin’s advice and obediently flew toward the White Tower...this is also why he completely doesn’t feel that ’Aislin’ is just Glaysia.

The Succubus Queen would never show compassion to her followers.

In the face of any crisis or potential trouble, she would only flee on her own.

And if those around her, including her favored male pet, lacked the foresight to keep up with her, she’d shed a few succubus tears and then turn to find a new pet to soothe her wounded feelings.

However, in turn, as long as you’re clever enough, Glaysia doesn’t mind you constantly observing her moves, or even profiting from it.

That’s why Glaysia’s palace is so difficult to navigate.

Desire by itself isn’t so easily restrained, and when you’re amidst the whirlpool of desire, it’s truly...

Rosero has seen too many predecessors meet their end after taking just one wrong step.

Deep in thought, Rosero didn’t notice the gentle ripples that formed on the previously calm surface of the silver moon hanging atop the White Tower.

A certain princess who had been watching the drama openly expressed her schadenfreude.

The moment Asmodier was discovered, Glaysia knew her little actions couldn’t be hidden.

Yet, most crucial and dangerously, she felt she could still hold out for a while.

Glaysia has always been adept at using arrogant and domineering displays to attract others’ hatred...it could be tried on her father.

Previously it wouldn’t work, but at this moment, the Princess of Hell felt her father might not have the patience to think deeply.

Her joy didn’t last long.

Ignited by Sunfire, the weak incarnation of Asmodier that was obviously meant for mere surveillance and not combat, spent its last bit of energy not on disposing of Delphus but rather slapped away the bright moon hanging by the edge of the White Tower.

’No!’ The mages of Sia Tower, all focused intently on the gray tower, inexplicably glanced toward the White Tower where a piercing scream emanated.

They didn’t know what happened, but the resounding female voice, only Glaysia could produce, right?

That was above the White Tower.

Only then did they realize the silver moon, once hanging low at the cloud realm, inexplicably returned to the high up starry sky.

No, the bright moon should be beyond the planet!

Why did everyone previously find the moon above the White Tower so normal?

To gaze upwards to the cloud realm and from below are completely different concepts; while mages may not understand visual effects, they know results.

Especially the High-level Mages.

In an instant, they realized Glaysia could use the Power of the Moon to affect their judgment.

Many people’s first reaction was to reach into their pockets for herbal resources that could help clear their minds, striving to recall the formula for Sobriety Potion.

Not just Fengo’s black-robed, neutral colored-robed, or purple-robed mages from the dark were doing this...there were many white-robed mages rummaging through their bags.

Though drawn by Glaysia’s favor, they also didn’t wish to lose self-control.

With that single slap from Asmodier, the mysterious veil Glaysia created here was largely torn apart.

Even though she dispersed her puppet bird flock, greatly limiting Hill’s field of vision, the flying eagle still soared high in the cloud realm...Hill instructed him to monitor ’Aislin’s movements.

Rather than let others believe he acted after discovering something, Hill naturally hoped Asmodier, feeling anxious from Hillbert’s long absence of ’Aislin’ and Rosero, would subtly urge him.

Though this approach isn’t very effective, the Lord of Hell is always willing to treat the ruthless creatures using ’Baseless’ to deal with minor figures, yet Hill couldn’t help but put up a struggle!

If he were exposed due to this...Hill felt he’d cough up three liters of blood.

All previous mental preparations would be wasted!

Fortunately, when dealing with her father, Glaysia always gives her best.

This fragment of Asmodier’s soul never wielded much mana, and alongside the blazing golden flames, after sweeping away the silver moon, it completely vanished.

But Hill could also understand his embarrassment...though logically, only Glaysia saw his misfortune.

However, the Styx can record all the scenery along the way.
