Surviving The Fourth Calamity

”Aislin” suddenly sighed, ”We, along with that group of greedy fools under Fengo, plotted for so long, yet ended up because of a magic ballista with a maximum limit lock...”

Although she omitted the last few words, Rosero understood that ”Aislin” simply didn’t want to call herself foolish.

But now, they really were quite foolish, especially with Delphus repeatedly using that broken crossbow.

”He must have other plans, not really...gone mad.” Rosero could only try to preserve the dignity of their Magic Tower’s Ninth Ring Mage.

Even though ”Aislin” could be considered one of their own, standing here for such a long time and floating obviously in the air during their conversation... at least Ruth could definitely hear.

That Nicholson likely also had the ability to hear them here.

Otherwise, ”Aislin” wouldn’t be so courteous when speaking to him.

When she’s alone with him, even if sometimes she’s not, she’ll still try to use Glaysia’s way of thinking and tone.

”Defense Tower, besides this crossbow, what other special weapons are there?” ”Aislin” asked a bit confused, ”Is that Hainarson really that strong?”

”I’m not too sure either.” Rosero thought for a while but still couldn’t confirm, ”At the time, those Tower Masters of the Defense Tower were all a bit insane.

Basically, they only attack and don’t defend, so we’ve witnessed the power of the crossbow, but... If it were defensive strange objects, we might not have seen them; the opponents just exploded.”

”The people from the Defense Tower are kind of crazy, I’ve confirmed it from all angles.” ”Aislin” looked despondently at that frenzied energy-storing high-nosed Archmage, ”Why did he only inherit this madness?”

”Mage talents are actually quite, good.” Rosero reluctantly said, ”As for appearance issues, we can only say that back in the day, Delphus was quite handsome when he first entered the Sia Tower.”

”Hmm?”

”Later when choosing the mage foundation, it seems he chose some spells that could make his bloodline shift.

Previously, he was just a man with a hooked nose, like a wolf.

Later on... well, he perhaps used some bloodline transfer spells and turned into a serrated fish.”

”Aislin” blinked, and from deep within her memory, extracted that peculiar creature, momentarily speechless.

Truly worthy of being the most eloquent man in the Glaysia palace, he’s so precise in his summary that she couldn’t even taunt anymore.

”Who did it?” Finally, she managed to ask the most crucial question... Bloodline transfer spells, Delphus knowing them is no issue, but in this world where high-level creatures mostly perished early on, the unique bloodline he got surely wasn’t from his life a ten thousand years ago; someone must have provided it.

Though he’s somewhat crazy, he’s not foolish; using such spells must mean the bloodline was powerful enough for him to tolerate the ugly appearance.

”Hmm... Over at Fengo’s side, he felt that Delphus’s personality wasn’t suitable for joining their faction.

And for our side, although the requirement for talents isn’t that high, handsome was originally just a description for average looks.

Lady Sia also was reluctant to accept him.”

”So, both sides worked together to manufacture a beautiful future for him.” ”Aislin” instantly understood.

Probably this so-called bloodline was provided by Glaysia.

She had many of these, considering she often dealt with the Old Witch.

”Gilbert could probably also figure out that Delphus surely has the belongings of their family’s Archmage.” ”Aislin” suddenly changed the topic.

”So?” Rosero cooperated by asking.

”So, we can wait until the top of the tower explodes before going out.” ”Aislin” said with a grin, ”By then, we will give Delphus the defense strange object he wanted to save as compensation.

Does this thing have any meaning to you, to me, or even to those clueless black bats hiding around?”

No matter how strong it is, at most it’s just a Legendary Rank war machine.

In the eyes of hell creatures, what does it amount to?

Anyone standing here, at the very least, is a Duke of Demons.

What they want are those resources filled with the scent of desire, and not a small thing that at best can defend against a Legendary Mage’s attack.

Although ”Aislin” thought herself somewhat faulty, even causing Gilbert to fall slightly behind, even though he would never think so, she was quite pleased.

”You’re planning to follow behind those black bats?” Rosero skillfully used ”Aislin’s” description.

In any case, even if Fengo stood next to them listening, he wouldn’t be dissatisfied with this term.

”Ah... Fengo, actually can fully control their small actions.” ”Aislin” let out a cold smile, ”But, whether he wants to test me a little, or intends to use me to teach those ignorant idiots a lesson... I’m unwilling.

Very unwilling.”

”Alright, alright.” Rosero quickly comforted in a gentle voice, ”Your will, is my will.”

”Aislin” suddenly furrowed her brows: she was affected.

She turned her head towards the White Tower... but only saw the high-hanging bright moon in her view.

’Aislin’ knew that some things happened after she became the current Aislin.

She couldn’t fully grasp Glaysia’s movements.

But what she didn’t quite understand was what Glaysia sensed that suddenly ignited her anger, even directly affecting her.

And how did it affect her?

’Aislin’ felt no sign of her own soul being touched.

Moreover, the sleeping Aislin also showed a reaction.

Damn it!

How exactly did Glaysia make her?

When she was awakened, it seemed she lost many memories related to this.

’Aislin’ gently lowered her head: ”Rosero, I’m really unhappy, you know!

So, be quick about it.”

Rosero instantly realized that these words indeed came from Glaysia.

He immediately placed his hand on his waist, responding solemnly, ”Everything will be as you wish, my Princess Aislin.”

-----------------

Although he’d already taken four arrows, Gilbert wasn’t in much of a hurry.

He was still diligently replenishing part of the Magic Tower’s defensive power to ensure that even if the tip collapsed, the two layers below would remain intact.

It wasn’t very difficult.

Because considering the problem of the Puppet Bird Flock’s habitation... even though Hill tried his best, under the constraints of materials and energy sources, these birds had to be recharged daily.

Then, due to the expansion of the flock, the sound of wings flapping also got a bit noisy.

So this time, Hill placed his residence and the Magic Hall in the middle layer.

The top of the tower and the two layers below it were used as nests for the Puppet Birds.

Moreover, the top of the tower needed to leave a large space for the Elemental Pool, while the Defensive Magic Array and the Charging Array were also more present in those two layers.

Of course, in this world, very few mages would play such a boring nesting game.

After all, this approach meant that the Elemental Pool at the top couldn’t be used as an energy source for the Main Tower below.

The Wind Elemental Pool was essentially used to recharge the Puppet Bird Flock.

Only someone like Hill, who enjoyed surprising people and didn’t care about energy consumption, would do such a boring thing.

But this indeed allowed him to deal with things calmly, even though his allies were clearly stalling for time.

However, the fact that ’Aislin’ was unreliable was something he had already prepared for.

After all, it was Glaysia.

Absolute order giving birth to absolute chaos seems quite logical... although Glaysia still wore a layer of order on the surface, Hill always felt that it was a fabric woven with the efforts of Asmodier and Bisozeya.

This outfit wasn’t meant to change Glaysia, but for outsiders observing her, always feel there’s a logic to it.

But Hill could sense that sometimes Glaysia wasn’t really acting within a particular order, but in her somewhat empty head, the most chaotic things she could think of were under the control of the Lord of Hell.

Thus, the once-loyal Great Devils to Bisozeya, who lived as close companions in the Hell Court with her, all choosing to betray at once didn’t seem so unimaginable.

In the beginning, Asmodeus’s Battle Angels chose to look coldly at Bisozeya’s plight, but the Lord of Hell only punished the leading few and didn’t interfere with anything else, which was also related to how Bisozeya completely rejected those Fallen Angels and didn’t allow them to enter his area.

Though the Lord of Hell seemed indifferent, in his heart, the status of those Fallen Angels was likely not much weaker than his wife, who symbolized hell.

However, to the Great Devils who followed Bisozeya because she was the last member of the Royal Family symbolizing hell, the fact that she gave birth to a child with obvious chaos traits indeed drove them insane after fighting the Bottomless Abyss to near annihilation.

Though it’s just a hypothesis by Hill, he felt it was very likely.

Then, why did hell, the true hell, value Glaysia’s existence so much?

Asmodeus wasn’t known for patience, and his overly lenient attitude towards his daughter seemed a bit strange... but if it was related to the inclination of the Will of Hell, then it made sense.

The reason for resurrecting Bisozeya, at least on the surface, seemed to favor that person... Typically, when outer races invade, they have to come up with a visible ’so-and-so family,’ right?

Hill quickly thought of Glaysia’s current title, ’Succubus Queen.’

Only when she’s madly pursuing desires would a little chaotic nature not appear strange... but then, why wasn’t the previous Glaysia like that?

Could there be a problem with her loving a bloated fat snake like Mamon?
