Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill suddenly felt a bit angry.

What he hated most were these messy conspiracies hidden behind the scenes entangling him, resulting in problems no matter where he went!

Clearly, he came to save his own world, but he ended up touching the edge of the deepest secrets of hell.

If he couldn’t control that bit of curiosity and really dug wholeheartedly... at the end of this path, wouldn’t the nine layers of hell stand on the left, the Bottomless Abyss on the right, and right in the middle, Asmodeus and Dimogogan?

He glanced again at the shining bright moon, earnestly reminding himself not to get to the bottom of things, just to look at the surface matters.

As for those secrets... they’ve already been exposed to the extent that even someone who occasionally glimpses like him can make some guesses, which originally meant these secrets were nearing the time to be laid bare to the world.

He just needed to wait and watch.

Don’t, under any circumstances, become the person to reveal them.

Anyway, if he doesn’t take over, destiny will always find someone more suitable to lift this curtain.

There will always be some saint who genuinely wants to become the great savior of the multiverse.

As for him, who only wants to go home and roll around like a little bear cub, forget it; he really doesn’t have that kind of grand vision.

When he realized he was getting closer to that deepest secret, Hill quietly pulled back the neck he had extended too far.

He is increasingly realizing that his character indeed has many aspects inherited from the Earth Bear... even if he knows it’s an important matter, after glancing around and seeing it doesn’t greatly affect his nest, he can freely sleep, eat, and play, the bear still prefers to avoid it.

Anyway, the only goal is to get Teraxil out of this chaotic situation without too much interference in other matters!

With a slight force, he wiped the desk in front of him... because he was too immersed in thought, he had unconsciously scratched it a few times... Hill finally determined his course of action.

However, Hill still had a strange feeling in his heart; he seemed very easily able to detect the battle situations in the power struggles among the strong in the multiverse.

It appears as if he has been running around for the safety of Teraxil, but... in essence, what he sees is far beyond what his world requires.

Just like ’Aislin’, and Glaysia who was drawn out by her.

Originally, Hill could have been unaware.

The reason he had to see so many secrets was because ’Aislin’ was constantly entangled with him.

If there were no more suitable ’Aislin’ and Rosero, would the current Delphus really be that troublesome to deal with?

Indeed, this matter would make Ruth a bit embarrassed, but there are still ways to solve it.

’Aislin’ is just the optimal solution, but not the only solution.

Luck is indeed a double-edged sword, but isn’t Hill too easily attracting all sorts of forces of destiny?

Whether in Toril or Aesces, he seems to either directly land in places twisted by destiny or have the main character of destiny directly fall to his side.

Especially Edna.

Looking back now, Hill finds it a bit unbelievable... Although the starting place was indeed Deepwater City, that magic ship had already entered the Dimensional Gate.

Why, when they suddenly encountered misfortune, would Edna and the others end up at his Agleya?

AO would only choose Edna, definitely not the Edna who landed in his territory.

Hill squeezed his fingers, listening to the cracking sound of his knuckles, a thought emerged in his mind: when everything is over, should he go and ask Coron, who is the ’mother’ of the Elven God King after all?

Hill always thought, back then, the bloodline of the Goddess of the Earth, supplemented by the neutralizing power of the Crystal Flower, completely rejected the Lunar Elf blood in him, leaving only a sliver of Coron’s divinity in him.

But now, he does suspect if there is some special divinity, he hasn’t detected it.

If there indeed is, that guy is definitely not a good thing... instead of passing down heritage, there’s a heap of trouble!

The thought of taking just one wrong step and being entangled in such a way that he can’t disentangle from fate just makes him incredibly pissed off!

”Boom!”

”Clang!”

Hill looked up, his carefully polished, beautiful grey-purple tower spire slid to the ground in a scattered mess.

The stubborn Delphus finally succeeded in breaking through the first layer of Hilbert’s Magic Tower’s defenses on the sixth arrow.

-----------------

”凸(艹皿艹)!”

Delphus and his entourage rushed toward the top of Gilbert’s Magic Tower like a pack of wolves, numerous people uttered an excessively strong exclamation.

Is Gilbert out of his mind?

How could someone build an Elemental Pool and not use it for the Main Tower?

Gilbert’s somewhat purplish grey tower, although the top two layers truly lost their energy source... looking down, that floor thicker than the roof itself, radiating a deep glow from the Defensive Magic Array, was obviously sturdier than the spire just now.

Delphus couldn’t stop his hand from trembling as he gripped the giant crossbow.

He had indeed heard that this Gilbert Hainarson was quite clever, and understood that the lad would surely be wary of his appearance.

But he truly did not expect Gilbert to dare play this big!

Delphus also knew that Ruth had given Gilbert a lot of resources... but wasn’t that for him to advance in the future?

That’s supposed to be a one-time reward that, once used up, definitely won’t come a second time!

Like Ruth, the so-called orthodox archmage who cares most about fairness... even favoritism requires a legitimate reason.

Is Gilbert insane?

Delphus finally realized that his deductions about this Hainarson kid seemed to have completely failed.

Then, is it possible that the person he’s collaborating with isn’t Pet either?

Delphus was suddenly startled!

He certainly knew that Gilbert wouldn’t come unprepared.

Especially since there’s Pet, who knows him well and wants to weaken him very much.

That woman, although she knows a lot of secrets and makes friends everywhere, she loses because of her wide social circle.

Moreover, anyone who likes to use tactics to maintain their sense of presence surely lacks the determination and perseverance to fight to the bitter end.

So, Delphus had already prepared solutions... whichever one, all were meant to make Pet flee without a fight.

Of course, he also prepared for Ruth’s arrival.

Since that guy likes creating the illusion that he cherishes his students, he definitely wouldn’t not come.

But if he comes... Delphus also has his ways to handle him.

He~ knows quite a few secrets of the Tower of Dark Enigma.

The exchanges between the Defense Tower and the Tower of Dark Enigma back then were very deep.

Although Ruth hides himself deeply, just knowing that secret is enough to make him give up all the Hainarsons!

Unfortunately, this secret used to pose little threat to Ruth before he entered Sia Tower, otherwise Delphus wouldn’t have waited until today to act!

Anyway, he’s not about to leave Ruth without some dignity.

As long as that guy puts up an effort to resist but can’t defeat the united Delphus and his group, isn’t that enough?

The reason Delphus brought along this unwilling useless woman was so that when Ruth retreats, there’d be a reason to speak.

Though everyone knows Ruth has certainly hidden his strength, on the surface, doesn’t he only show one or two Ninth Ring Spells!

Delphus isn’t really crazy enough to rush to find trouble with Gilbert without a plan.

Regardless, as long as he succeeds, so what if he gets punished?

The White Robes and the Black Robes have nothing good, they will surely just sit back and watch indifferently.

But no matter how good his previous plans were, Delphus, upon seeing the true form of this Magic Tower, couldn’t help but feel a tinge of foreboding.

This Gilbert is too unconventional.

”Delphus, what do we do now?

Do we continue?” A pale Eight Ring Male Mage behind him couldn’t help but ask tentatively.

Does Delphus have another choice?

He could indeed choose to give up.

But looking at the woman who was silently smirking over there, Delphus realized that his reign built on past intimidation was already on the verge of dissolution.

Only Oro Cardenas, who asked him this question, might still follow him... but Cardenas also had no other choice.

Although he came from the Tower of Despair, the archmage who sent him to Sia Tower originally failed in the power struggle.

Cardenas had no choice, as it was clear back then he had chosen the Tower of Despair. If it wasn’t for Delphus willing to accept his allegiance and assure him, he would have long been executed by that ’Black Artist’.

The reason Delphus was willing to step in to save this unlucky guy was because at the time, all the subordinates and students he could trust had been dispatched.

He still needed a few people he could command in Sia Tower.

And his handle on Ruth was also because Cardenas, who could testify for him, existed.

After all, no matter how much information he got from the Defense Tower, it was nothing more than empty talk without evidence... Of course, this is also related to him saying some excessive things in the past to eliminate dissidents.

He overdid it a bit back then, so much so that now, unless there’s evidence, no one would believe anything coming from his mouth.
