Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 638: Chapter 436: The Descendants of Santos

”What is Golden Spring Water?” Alice asked curiously from within the Wind Barrier.

”It’s the spring water controlled by Coron’s current wife, the Elf Goddess of Life,” Hill could only briefly explain. ”It can grant eternal youth, beautify the skin, and cleanse the soul.

However, for the dragon egg’s little dragon, if its gender has not yet been determined, it is very likely to become a female giant dragon.”

”Then why is she angry?” Alice asked curiously. ”That’s great! A beautiful dragon maiden, even if purified from a bit of evil, wouldn’t necessarily turn to the Kind Alignment, right? Besides, can’t she just teach it back?”

”If it is a female giant dragon, it’s very likely to become a competitor of the Dragon Queen.” Hill explained helplessly. ”Tiamat needs a child who can consolidate her position, not one who would pull her down from her throne.”

Alice, who had spent a lot of time with Magical Beasts, instantly understood what Hill meant.

She sighed, looking towards the south: ”So if this little dragon really is female, even if she remains in the Evil Faction, she might be abandoned by her own mother? That’s so sad.”

Alice couldn’t help but turn her head and ask Hill, ”Is it bound to be a girl? Could there be any accidents?”

”Of course there could be,” Hill replied. ”How could it possibly change one hundred percent? If that were the case, which of the Gods of Love and Beauty who share the Golden Spring Water would dare to offend her!

”Only, even if the Dragon Queen is willing to wait for this result, another might not be so patient.

It’s been hundreds of thousands of years, this is their first child.”

Hill said no more, everyone knew what methods Tiamat would employ; she, who firmly holds a layer of Hell, has never been sentimental, that Red Dragon must be more anxious than anyone.

A streak of red light penetrated the prismatic edge, charging directly into the center of the two battling Dragon Gods.

”Klaus! What are you doing?” the Dragon Queen’s angry voice sounded, ”I wasn’t planning on harming my own child!”

It seemed the Red Dragon had made his choice, choosing his child over his deity.

And perhaps, having been too long beside Tiamat, he had made his decision so swiftly, taking action the moment he sensed something wrong.

”I’m taking my child and leaving! She has not yet reached the most critical step! Even if it means another five-hundred-year slumber, I have no problem,” the low roar of the dragon came. ”My Lord, I would rather she become a Metal Dragon than become the food you speak of!”

”I am not going to consume her,” Tiamat said as calmly as possible. ”This is our first child, and I treasure her too.”

”My Lord, don’t make such jokes,” the Red Dragon suddenly laughed. ”You never care about my feelings. My child, only I will cherish!

”I see, you’re not going to consume her, you plan to turn her into the next Chassar, don’t you?

”Can he even be considered alive?

”No Chromatic Dragon would feel injustice for Chassar, but no dragon would want to be the next one!

”You know, Chromatic Dragons who live a little longer can no longer be as unquestioning towards you as Chassar was! So you’re thinking of transforming a newborn little dragon directly?

”If my child is a daughter, you would turn her into a puppet?

”No! I absolutely refuse!

”My child is a great Red Dragon, not a Purgatory Dragon who can’t control her own life and soul!”

A sudden terrifying explosion came from the south, black smoke billowing, fire lighting the sky.

The Red Dragon named Klaus simply detonated an entire volcano.

Hill could feel the terrifying heat.

This mountain range must have connected to the veins of the earth, the entire ground shook.

Even from the far North, the shaking was very evident.

Hill dazedly put down the spaceship he was holding, and the Magic Barrier of the camp also lit up.

People below were in panic, but the shaking felt in the camp wasn’t as serious as outside; they just fled from the Stone Houses to stand in the open.

The loudly shouting Undead Tribes helping to arrange these ordinary people yelled, ”That Red Dragon took his egg and just ran off!

”That Prismatic Dragon is chasing after him!

”Wow! The Red Dragon opened a door, kind of like a Star Gate! He rushed into it!

”Tiamat didn’t go in! She took a tumble!

”This battle between parents, although the mother won, her man took the child and ran!

”Does this count as a loss for both?”

”Hahahaha~~~” Bahamut’s laughter spread across the entire world, Hill felt like he was hearing a trio. Could it be that Tyr and Tampas are gloating together?

Hill estimated that Bahamut chose this time to intervene because the Divine Descent of those two was approaching.

The Gods of Ferun, it seems, were not planning to fully offend the Chromatic Dragon Queen.

The most ruthless deeds were committed by the Platinum Dragon King, yet between him and Tiamat, there existed a hatred that could never be resolved.

Only Bahamut would be so familiar with the nature of the Dragon Queen’s lovers; otherwise, those evil dragons, who only sought the Dragon Queen’s favor, would never have turned against Tiamat for an unborn dragon egg.

Sounds of explosions came from the south again; was it Tiamat taking out her anger by smashing the ground?

Hill frowned as he looked in that direction, the intensity of these tremors was enough to cause significant earthquakes.

”Bahamut! If I can kill one of your avatars, I can kill countless more!” Tiamat roared as she charged towards the sky, once she left the control range of the platinum dragon, she could return to her intangible state.

Since the reason for the fight had disappeared, the Chromatic Dragon Queen was not in the mood to battle Bahamut, who had helpers.

”No matter!” Bahamut laughed, ”I don’t mind returning to a demigod status, it’s up to you if you’re scared! The future Red Dragon won’t mind stepping on you to become the new Dragon Queen!”

It seems that the Platinum Dragon had considered the humans of this world.

The Undead Tribe below were loudly calling for Hill again; they were very interested in the conversation between the Chromatic Dragon Queen and the Platinum Dragon, and also wanted to know who Chassar, mentioned by the Red Dragon, was.

Hill shook his head helplessly and instructed List to educate them.

He also asked the Undead Tribe to inquire with the Ferun People at the Star Gate; he suspected the time period he was in was during the most terrifying Dragon Catastrophe of Ferun.

The Years of Turmoil might have just ended, and Valkin was probably just recently rescued.

Thus, filled with resentment, she chose to collaborate with the evil dragon from Hell and even harbored grudges against the Gods of Ferun.

Although Hill felt she was influenced by the Abyss and lost her reason, she indeed committed many senseless acts of revenge just after coming out of the Abyss.

Teaming up with Tiamat, who was also recently resurrected, Hill found strangely normal.

During this period, Bahamut had also just re-established his faith, because during the Years of Turmoil, when gods walked the earth, he had thwarted the schemes of Tiamat.

List quickly returned, the unfortunate one used as a tool for the resurrection of the Chromatic Dragon Queen, Chassar, had indeed been resurrected along with the two companions he had devoured, becoming a Purgatory Dragon that appeared often in Ferun Great Land.

Specifically targeting those who disrespected the Dragon Queen.

”Did you find out which year it is?” Hill asked worriedly, feeling like he had encountered the darkest days of Ferun! This seemed even more terrifying than the Saint’s Calamity.

After all, although the deities fought incessantly to regain their Divine Position, a Mage could survive just by hiding and not involving in anything, severing all ties with the outside world.

But during the Year of Wandering Dragon, when all dragons went mad, staying in any corner could result in being attacked indiscriminately by one or several dragons.

He couldn’t be that unlucky, could he? Just thinking about going to Ferun, now he had to give up.

”1372.” List broke Hill’s illusion, ”Sir, shall we follow the Undead Tribe to another world first?”

”Didn’t the Undead Tribe try to talk to the people of Ferun?” Hill asked indifferently.

”No, sir.” List hesitated before replying, ”I checked the Undead Tribe’s data on the Dragon Race carefully. It only mentioned Chassar devouring two companions, reaching the resurrection threshold set by Tiamat beforehand, enabling the Dragon Queen to resurrect through him.

After returning to Hell, she resurrected Chassar and his two companions as Purgatory Dragons.

The Gods of Ferun are now cautious of her because she’s propagating evil dragon offspring around the world; Vassa’s Cold Fortress has just emerged recently.

I’m glad you asked me to present it, otherwise, I really fear what you might have said wrong.”

List’s worries were not about William, who would just laugh off knowing Hill’s identity, but the Ferun Gods truly mattered.

Hill was stunned for a moment before understanding that William had only provided the Undead Tribe with Ferun data up to a few decades ago.

Moreover, the God of Time and Space choosing this World Without Magic for the Undead Tribe might also be because, although their society was highly advanced, they had not yet encountered data regarding the disaster of Wandering Dragons.

Otherwise, there would be no lack of people in the Undead Tribe knowledgeable in this regard.

Indeed, William might not be aware, but the God of Time and Space definitely knew the current situation in Ferun; the River of Time and Space allowed him to see everything very clearly.

Hill supported his head wearily, ”My plans—why can they never be completed smoothly?”

He dejectedly waved his hand, ”Ask the people of Reyes below if they want to go home, the Dragon Queen is gone, and whatever’s left won’t affect the common folk anymore.”

”It’s still shaking.” Alice interjected, ”They won’t leave so soon; it’s too safe here!”

List agreed and nodded, ”I’ll ask them when they plan to leave, and then sir, you can set the time to go to the Star Gate!”

Before leaving, he couldn’t help but glance at Alice, who showed no emotion on her face. Was she really unaffected by Merkel’s arrival?

The questioning List returned quickly, ”Sir, Mage Hogan wants to meet you; he said he was rude to you because he is the descendant of Mage Santos.”

Ah? Hill stood up in surprise, what was happening!
