Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 626: Chapter 424: William Gives Up on Monopolizing Felunryel

Hill pondered for a moment, feeling that Valkin might still have to make amends.

Bane and the Evil Dragon were both elusive entities.

Yet Valkin was still spreading doctrine in Ferun.

In a world that has offended so many deities, even if the gods of the Kind Alignment let her off the hook, the God of Thievery Mask and the God of Conspiracy Cyric, eternal enemies, wouldn’t mind giving her a couple of harsh blows.

And the deities of Ferun, even if they themselves hadn’t appeared in this world, their minions were already here.

Why would they willingly lend a hand to Valkin?

Let alone the Fury Camp, where no worshippers of the Goddess of Wealth would be found in the northern Ice Plain or the wilderness.

What about the seaside? Her followers probably couldn’t get within thirty kilometers of the coast.

Whichever ship they board is guaranteed to sink.

Whichever coastal city they visit is certain to be hit by typhoons daily.

Does she no longer want sea trade?

Hill remained silent for a few minutes; after all, he couldn’t bring himself to conceal the true danger of this world in a moment of anger.

If William discovered the secret of the mountains but didn’t know who the real enemy was, it was very likely that not only would this world suffer, but Teraxil would be implicated as well.

Just how powerful the Chromatic Dragon Queen was, no one dared to confirm.

Ferun might not care, but Teraxil couldn’t withstand a blast of her breath.

Hill took out a new map, re-marked the rune points, and wrote a line of text at the top of the map in white, black, green, blue, and red: ”Guardian Bloodline.”

He handed this piece of paper to List, asking him to arrange for the Undead to pass it on to William.

List glanced at the pendant on Hill’s chest, said nothing more, and turned to leave, intending to find an Undead messenger.

He planned to issue a speed task; the faster it was completed, the higher the reward.

William received the news quickly. The Undead that List had found was smart and took a photo of the map to send to a friend at the Star Gate.

Then just let the friend use Transcription Technique to make a copy for Spencer.

Although William hadn’t come out, the task reward hall was available, and the Undead all knew who was in charge of that task terminal.

He had calculated clearly that if it was completed within 10 minutes, the two of them would split the task reward and earn much more.

That was much stronger than flying over himself.

As William held the map, he felt a bit dazed.

”Your Majesty the King?” Spencer asked anxiously, ”What does Hill’s map mean?”

”Ah! It means we have offended an enemy we cannot afford to provoke,” he sighed. ”This world, we will not be able to occupy. I feel like we’re going to lose out!”

”Will it affect your path to divinity?”

”Not really, as I still completed what I had to do.” William ran his fingers over the five colors, ”it’s just that the other deities of Teraxil can’t come to this world.

Let the Undead start a full-on attack!

I need to contact Coron, to ask him to introduce me to the prototypes of the Three Gods of Justice.”

Spencer glanced at William, recalling that William had said before that the God of Justice and his minions often had many conflicts with the divinities William chose.

”If I don’t speak up, Coron would not invite the God of Justice here. And the same goes for the powerful divine power from the Kind Alignment; even if they wanted to come in and kill, Tyr wouldn’t break through Coron’s defenses.

Everything depends on what I choose,” William chuckled softly, ”I think I’m beginning to understand where Hill’s anger comes from.

Who are they underestimating?

What if I can’t figure out who the opponent is?

First, Shaer and the Lord of Eight-layer Hell, then the Chromatic Dragon Queen; who will be the next?”

”Your Majesty the King?” Spencer said with concern.

William raised his hand, pushing the cage with the black panther through a small door: ”Sorry, Merkel. I’m taking this out on you. But while I give you plenty of space to move around, it doesn’t mean you can run off on your own.

If you don’t want to harm Hill, including that white cat, then behave yourself.

It’s an enemy that even Coron must treat with caution. The terrifying being that only allows me to give up spreading justice and fairness in this world.”

The black panther went in without a sound.

”Justice and fairness can’t be mentioned?” Spencer asked reluctantly.

”Of course, they can. After all, I led people to conquer most of this world,” William said indifferently, ”but their doctrines of justice and judgment are more suited to this kind of world.

Plus, they have many more followers. They wouldn’t rest to spread the doctrines of their Main God.

Do you think I can expect the Undead to spread the doctrine for me?”

He looked up at Spencer, ”Don’t say you can go. Before my Divine Kingdom is officially established, I won’t let you take that risk.”

Spencer nodded helplessly.

William suddenly froze, then sighed deeply, ”Perhaps, I should apologize to Hill.”

Seeing the puzzled look in Spencer’s eyes, he shook his head, ”Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. If you were in Alice’s position, I would be extremely angry as well.

I always felt Hill should naturally understand why we would take action against the Magical Beast, but I neglected his worries for his family member.

I always treated Alice as just a pet.”

”But isn’t she just a cat?” Spencer asked, somewhat confused, ”I’ve never understood why Hill values her so much, to the extent that he places her above Goddess Agleya.”

”That’s a Spirit of Nature, Naven,” William said in an ethereal voice, ”Since becoming a Magician until now, who has taken care of him the most?

Even perhaps better than his maternal grandfather.

If he could regard the Sea God Hill he raised himself as one of his own, not to mention a Spirit of Nature he’s been raising since his teens.”

Spencer remained silent for a few minutes before he spoke, ”That cat, is too much like a cat.”

”Let’s talk about it after everything is over!” William shook his head, ”I will properly apologize to Hill.

Even if I concealed the truth from him earlier for fear his excessive worry would arouse the Magical Beast’s suspicions,

I should have told him afterward that I was prepared to protect Alice. Some things still need to be made clear.

If it were not for Coron doing the same to me, I probably would not understand the reasons for Hill’s anger.

It’s not enough for Alice to return safely to his side; feeling kept in the dark is very unpleasant, to have someone not say a word afterward and just hope he would figure it out himself.”

William shook his head with a smile, ”Indeed, when it’s not their own pain, they don’t know how it hurts.”

Spencer did not say anything else. William should have stopped treating Hill as a naive child long ago. That’s a powerful Legendary capable of standing against deities.

The Fake Gods of this world only seem weak.

Yet if it were him, even the weakest Fake God could easily kill him.

And Hill, he managed to fight against four simultaneously, easily killing two and banishing the other two.

Spencer had long known that the gap between Legendaries could be huge, but he never imagined it to be this vast.

His abilities, which he had spent time thoroughly understanding recently, allowed him to confront some Legendary Mages, like the former Teraxil’s Miller and Carl.

But against Hill, Spencer doubted he could withstand even three moves.

William stood up, ”Move to full attack, Naven! Before we are forced to relinquish the divine authority over this world, let’s take everything we can.

We must thoroughly cleanse those nations of the Evil Gods!

As for the deities of the Kind Alignment, if they have not joined the war actively, or have fled back to their countries, leave them to Ferun’s gods!

I also want to observe how they deal with these Fake Gods from the same Kind Alignment.”

”Yes, Your Majesty the King!” Spencer answered solemnly, then turned and returned to his station.

William walked to the Royal Palace gate, his hand lightly resting on an engraving on the outer colonnade.

It was a Silver Crescent Holy Emblem.

”William of Teraxil, what is it?” A voice, laced with humor, came quickly from the other side, ”Haven’t you been very successful recently?”

”I think this world is more suited for the Supreme God Tyr,” William said bluntly, ”Especially now when the Three Gods are not yet dead, they can come and look at themselves in the mirror to see if anything they wouldn’t want outsiders to discover has been exposed.”

”Don’t you feel regret?” Coron asked with a hint of curiosity, ”This world is really suitable for spreading your doctrine.”

”I don’t know if you really understand what lies beneath that volcano,” William said without any emotion, ”But I am not interested in a suicidal mission.

I am the God of Justice and Fairness, and I choose to be fair to myself.

When facing an overwhelmingly powerful enemy, it is no disgrace to seek help if one cannot bear it alone.

This place is not my Teraxil.

I don’t have the courage to fight to the death for someone else’s world; that greatness is something only Supreme God Tyr could achieve.”

Coron fell silent for a few seconds before responding formally, ”I will convey your words to Tyr; he will certainly be delighted to receive recognition from another world’s deity.”

Hill, who was in Magic Tower mulling over the uses of bloodline protection Runes, soon received a notification from List.

The Undead Tribe had almost all rushed to the Star Gate, and full-scale war had begun.

Hill hesitated for a moment, but then summoned Alice from her pendant.

”Hill? What is it? I’ve been hard at work cultivating!” Alice said, holding her Mithril Sphere, tilting her head to look at the serious Hill.

”Alice, there’s something I think you should know.” Hill tried to speak without emotion as he recounted everything List had told him, even what the Human Gods had been doing in between.

Alice listened quietly without showing any anger.

Hill looked at her with some concern.

”Hill, if I had left Merkel and given up our peaceful life in the valley to take up our ancestors’ legacy, could all these troubles have been avoided?”

Alice asked wistfully, ”You also began to be less optimistic about my relationship with Merkel from that time, didn’t you? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have had us move into your Magic Tower.”
