Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 631: Chapter 429: The Fiery Hair Believer Who Attracted the Attention of the Undead Tribe

William glanced at Spencer, and his cousin poured him another glass of wine before thrusting the wine jug into his hands, ”I need to keep an eye on the Undead Tribe; the people from Ferun are too complicated.

I thought the Church that was supposed to come with us this time was from the Kind Alignment?

How could there be such strange beings!

It’s truly the first time I’ve seen attire more revealing than those unnatural ladies of the Undead Tribe, and she could be so proud when hundreds of thousands of people whistle at her!

Your Majesty, please calm down before you get down to business!

I’m really worried that something might go wrong.”

”That was a ritual for the Red-Haired Lady, who is the Ferun human Goddess of Love and Beauty.” William paused, taken aback, ”This lady has always been particularly concerned with matters of the heart. Is there a Goddess of Love here?”

”She has always stayed in her own domain and has not come out, but indeed she exists, among all races,” Spencer said with resignation. ”Didn’t you see the map Hill sent last time? The one on the other side of the Red Knight.”

”It was all so quiet; I didn’t pay attention to her,” William said carelessly. ”Those days, the mere sight of those two words stressed me out. Wouldn’t it be better to be a bit more rational about love and separation?”

Spencer observed his liege carefully and realized that he indeed felt that way.

Even he knew that if everything were governed by rationality, that wouldn’t be love, that would be an arranged marriage.

After some thought, Spencer decided to let the matter go. After all, William would eventually become one of the deities, and with a long life ahead, there would surely come a day when he would learn his lesson. He just needed to wait and watch.

What he found even harder to comprehend was, ”Why would the followers of the Goddess of Love be so...” He really didn’t want to look at those beauties who wore nothing but a thin gauze dress. Pained, he shut his eyes. Why were there even men in short gauze skirts?

”Our world’s Goddess was once fully known as the Goddess of Nobility and Love,” William said, unable to hold back. ”She prefers dignified and discreet love.

Maybe it has something to do with her chasing Arturas for tens of thousands of years?

After putting so much effort into showing her best side for so long, how could she be as unrestrained as Lady Fiery Hair?

You should know, she’s recognized as the number one beauty in Ferun! Proclaimed the most beautiful woman in the whole Toril Universe, she’s the powerful one who could have any man she desires.

Tsk, no, perhaps she’s also here to witness the embarrassment of the Berserker God System.

It’s the group that Hill took out half of, her very adversaries. With Fiery Hair’s temperament, she could probably run outside the Storm God’s Divine Kingdom to laugh about it.

After all, everyone can see that Hill didn’t kill the last two to save face for Talos himself, not because he couldn’t do it.

As for the gauze, they’ve already been quite modest, at least it’s white, not the transparent kind.

When Lady Fiery Hair makes her divine descent, she’s famously only adorned with a transparent silk robe and flames-like beautiful long hair, not a thread more.”

Spencer was stunned: ”Is she going to come then? I remember Your Majesty said that the world of the Undead doesn’t really welcome such revealing beings?”

William couldn’t help but sigh: ”If she really comes, then I’ll just gather an Aura around her and adjust the perception of the Undead, ensuring they see nothing.”

He then looked at Spencer slyly, ”Dear cousin, how about I give you a pair of glasses that can suppress that light?

So you can see what love and beauty truly mean.

I absolutely wouldn’t mind you pursuing this lady renowned for her beauty!

She naturally exudes a joyful Aura.”

Spencer’s face darkened; he regretted striking up a conversation to distract William, who proved unworthy of sympathy!

”I’ll get back to my duties then, Your Majesty should think about how to cleanse the areas influenced by your faith,” Spencer sternly finished and turned to leave.

”Don’t worry, dear cousin,” William suddenly chuckled. ”I just need a little time. This poison of faith, once recognized, can be resolved quite easily.

As long as I am not concerned about a decrease in Divine Power, there is no problem.

You can definitely trust my resolve on this matter; I would rather traverse a few more worlds than cherish the power that comes from that little bit of faith.

However, I can only ask you to pay more attention to the Undead Tribe!

As for what needs to be shielded, the Divine Artifact of Time and Space is already adept at it, so don’t worry.

I just need a little time...”

William’s voice gradually deepened.

Spencer turned with a serious demeanor and executed a perfect Knight’s salute: ”I wish my lord a triumphant return once more.”

Watching Spencer leave, he frowned deeply and shut the door of the chamber tightly.

William knew that even if he spoke lightly about it, Naven would stand guard next door.

If not for fear of drawing attention, Naven might have stayed immovable right outside the door.

Fortunately, he had shut down the hall completely to avoid the visitors from Ferun and stayed in the best-secluded chamber.

William, sighing, slumped down into the sofa chair and suddenly slapped himself.

Ever since he became King of Saral, things had gone too smoothly for him; people really do forget themselves in success, to the point of becoming this careless.

The days in Teraxil seemed fraught with peril on the surface, but in reality, they had never threatened his core existence.

On the contrary, it was as if he had led humans to drive away the formidable foe and become the World Master.

Humans could not understand what was happening with the Goddess of the Earth; they simply believed William was an absolute powerhouse.

Not to mention, the God of Time and Space paid no attention to the affairs of the world, immersed in various researches every day and gradually fading from the sight of humans.

They knew of this powerful deity, but it was William who stood before them.

The worship of him in the human world grew stronger and stronger.

The moment he stepped through the Star Gate with the Undead Tribe, the people of Teraxil had already regarded him as a deity.

Yet, he was completely indifferent, strutting along the distorted path to godhood, so full of himself.

If it weren’t for cousin Naven pointing out something was off about him and having enough trust to directly confront him, he, the God of Justice and Fairness, might have ascended to the position of the next God of Nobility without even realizing it.

Now, Arturas did indeed recover a bit of himself, but whenever there was a matter that could affect the future of humanity, he became extremely unreasonable.

He did not even care whom he would antagonize. He knew he had overreacted after calming down, but couldn’t change at all.

He simply stopped using overly evil methods, but that did not mean he stopped using schemes and traps. According to Ferun, people almost acknowledged that the Divinity of the God of Nobility included conspiracy and treachery.

If it wasn’t for William’s constant respect for the boundaries set by the God of Nobility for the inheritance rights of the Teraxil nobles, Arturas would have made an enemy of him, even knowing he couldn’t defeat the Gods of Time and Space!

He had always reminded himself not to become the next God of Nobility, so why had he suddenly become so arrogant?

William gazed quietly at his own Mental Sea. How long had it been since he left Teraxil and carefully inspected it inch by inch?

Outside his forming Divine Crystal, what was contained within those traces of golden light?

William abandoned observing the methods of the Gods of Ferun and began to check his own Mental Sea bit by bit.

It was a lengthy task.

Before William fully entered his Mental Sea, he suddenly remembered that Hill had helped him once again.

Had it not been for Hill telling him who exactly was behind Felunryel, he might have carelessly led the Undead Tribe to slay dragons.

If he hadn’t stepped back from the threats of the Chromatic Dragon Queen and sought out the Three Gods of Justice in Ferun, Spencer might have waited until everything was over to discuss the matter with him.

After all, compared to some poison of faith, Naven valued his life more.

But William himself absolutely refused to be changed by faith.

He was even unwilling to become a part of the God of Time and Space, so why would he want to be transformed by faith into someone else!

Know that becoming a part of Time and Space does not mean that William would disappear, but merely become one aspect of the God of Time and Space.

For accommodating his excess Divinity, deities can exist in multiple forms.

As long as that being doesn’t retract its aspects, William could effortlessly soar with the God of Time and Space.

William knew he owed Hill once again.

Hill didn’t realize he’d helped William once more.

He was very busy now.

The arrival of the minions of the Gods of Ferun nearly sent his Undead Tribe beneath the Magic Tower into a frenzy.

No longer feeling the journey wearisome, they even unhesitatingly brought out the Cloud House, willing to burn through all their Crystal Stones if necessary.

When Hill heard about the Church of Love and Beauty, he knew he could only rely on himself from then on.

The Undead Tribe would definitely not ignore the followers of that deity and leave Hill behind, who was already too common a sight for them.

When the Undead Tribe had all departed, Hill integrated the Arrays within the camp.

He knew he might not see the Undead Tribe again until it was time to prepare for other worlds.

Thus Hill decided to transform the campsite into a series of deadly chain traps.

In this period, Hill had also pondered the reasons for his exposure.

After all, Lyril, the Goddess of Joy and a close friend of Miliel, the God of Singing who had been to Gerns, was once a confidant of Valkin.

To save his own life, Valkin even entrusted his Divine Power to Lyril for safekeeping.

Although the two now had a significant falling out, mainly because Valkin’s followers had wavered in their faith towards Lyril during her absence.

So when Valkin returned, he found the outcome somewhat hard to bear.

However, their relationship remained very close.

It was indeed possible that upon deducing Hill’s identity, Valkin might inform the God of Thievery, who was searching for treasures for her Dragon Lord’s offspring.

Even if she coveted Hill’s Ring of Winter, she would only cause covert trouble, never stepping forward openly.

Especially at this time, when the deities of Ferun might be eagerly waiting outside, ready for a Divine Descent.

The Gods of Ferun would definitely not hesitate to label her a False God and sweep her aside with the rest.
